Happy Wednesday! I have a card to share today. I am playing along with this week's Papertrey Ink's Make It Monday Challenge. We are challenged to Mask and Stack.
I decided to take this technique alittle farther. Instead of just masking and stamping one image, I wanted to try to mask and stamp several to create a floral scene. My inspiration came from a clothing tag I have had in my inspiration stash for awhile.
Here is the card with the inspiration tag to the right. I think I came pretty close to recreating the look. I did have to do a lot of mask and stacking. Here is what I did. I started with some PTI stamper's select white card stock. I stamped the two largest flowers from Peonies on Parade stamp set and made post it note masks for both. I masked off the flowers and stamped the leaves in the set. I also made masks for those.
Next, I stamped and fussy cut masks for the leaves from Gran's Garden stamp set. This image I had to stamp in different colors as well. For the little aqua mist dotted background element on the right I used the cluster image from Gran's Gardens set as well. I used the Twig Wreath stamp set. I also used the smaller circle images from Twig Wreath as well. I used Spruce and Sprigs stamp set for some of the larger circle images.
Once I had everything stamped, I die cut the panel out with the stitched rectangle from Noted: Scalloped A2 Vertical die collection. I used the Tag Sale: Quilted die for the sentiment strip. I stamped the sentiment from Birthday Mini stamp set and heat embossed it. I finished my card with a few clear sequins.
As always thanks so much for stopping by!
