Happy Sunday! I am popping in with a card to share for Papertrey Ink November Blog Hop Inspiration Challenge.
For my card, I focused on the colors, snowflake, and the tree to create a peaceful outdoor scene. I started with some PTI aqua mist card stock. I sponged around the edges some tumbled glass and broken china distressed oxide inks. I stenciled the snowfall scene from Fairy Tale Christmas Collection using Picket Fence distressed ink.
Next, I die cut snow hills and layered. I added a Pierced Feature Frame using PTI select white card stock and foam tape to pop up over the aqua mist panel. I die cut and stamped the Enchanted Forest stamp set and Enchanted Forest die set. I used Bundled Sage distressed oxide ink for the base color of the tree foliage and I used pinefeather ink for the top layer of my trees. I love this color combination to give a real spruce-like color. For the trunks I used cocoa bean and dark chocolate inks.
I arranged the trees within the window frame. I used Wine Bottle Tag 2 for the sentiment strip that I die cut using Pure Poppy card stock. I white embossed the sentiment from Sentiment Staples: Christmas Mini stamp set. The tiny red bird comes from the MIM Mini Holiday Kit. It was just the perfect size.
I stamped a few snowflakes that also come in the Enchanted Forest stamp set in aqua mist ink and tucked around the sentiment. I finished my card with a few clear sequins.
As always thanks so much for hopping by!
