Hope everyone is having a great relaxing Sunday afternoon.  It has been a few days since I posted.  My blog was deleted and it took a few days for blogger to verify that it was legit and not a spam blog!  Needless to say I was freaking out just a bit.   Anyway, all is good now and I have my blog back!

Viva La Verve Christmas Wishes!

Happy Saturday!  I have a Verve Christmas card to share with you today.  I am a bit behind with my Christmas cards for this time of year.   I am using the sketch from Viva La Verve Week 3 Moe is the host for this sketch.  Great sketch Moe.   I am using Verve's O Christmas Tree and Merry Wishes stamp sets.  I tried to keep this card sort of simple for easier mailing.  I layered some MME Christmas designer papers and colored the wreath with copics.  I had to add some colored glitter to make the wreath a bit more dimensional.  I used Verve's Tiny Sweet Scallop die set to add the sentiment and keep with the sketch double focal elements.  I finished with a seam binding bow, some olive Memory Thread curly ques, and a couple gold pearls.  I am also playing along with SCS Inspiration(IC307) Challenge. Here is my inspiration pic.

ODBD Stamping In Time Challenge (SNTODBD46)!

It is time for ODBD Stamping In Time Challenge (SNTODBD46)! The assignment is to use Our Daily Bread Design stamps. The challenge this rotation is all about cards with TAG! T= Thankful, A= Appreciation, G= Grateful.  You can use an actual tag, create a card that is thankful, shows appreciation, or conveys gratefulness, or you can combine a tag with the themes.   Remember, the more you play the more you increase your chance to win! We look forward to seeing what you create using ODBD stamps!

For my card I am using ODBD's Faith and Mini Tags 1 stamp sets.     I combined these sets with some Prima Londonberry  designer papers.  I stamped the image in Vintage Cream pigment ink.  I embossed with detail opaque white embossing powder.  I colored with copics and lightly distressed sponged the edges.  I added a grateful sentiment tag, bow, and did a bit of stitching. I layered the focal image with Spellbinders.   I am using the sketch at Card Patterns Sketch 137.

Check out some more samples from ODBD Designers!

From Our Home to Yours at Christmas!

I have a card to share today.  It has been a really busy few weeks and finding time to craft is starting to feel like a luxury.  I realized a few weeks ago that I am terribly behind in my Christmas card stash for this time of year.   Today's card is just that.  A way for me to add to my collection for mailing in early December.

My card today uses ODBD newly released Christmas Door set.  I colored the image with copics and added layers of colored glitter to create added dimension.  This is my new favorite thing to do.  I am trying to come up with quicker cards even though the bow is still a part of the look and will cost more to mail.  Today's card uses a kraft card stock base, but instead of layering for a background I added the MME Lost and Found Christmas paper directly to the base.  Sort of fools the eye a bit.  The other layers are smaller accent pieces as well as part of the focal image.  I finished with some lace, gold pearls, bow, and gold ornate button with sentiment tag.  I am playing along with this week's Shining the Light Challenge(ODBDSLC80) to make a Christmas card and use ODBD stamps.  I am also using colors from CR84FN40.

As always thanks so much for stopping by!

Swimming For Katie Renz Blog Hop & Fundraiser!

I am absolutely honored and humbled to be a part of a community of designers who reach out from all over the world to connect with each other through paper crafting.   It is paper crafting that has joined us, and when one needs help, we all  join together and take paper crafting to a whole new level!  Katie, my prayers are with you and your family!   I am cheering you on!  Keep Swimming!

"From October 10-12 some of the best stampers are joining together to support and encourage our friend and fellow stamper, Katie Renz, who is currently battling inoperable gastric cancer.  If you're not familiar with her, Katie’s cancer story started just before Christmas last year.  This young, beautiful, healthy, vibrant mother of 3 with her infectious smile was suddenly diagnosed with an inoperable cancer, virtually overnight.  A few tummy aches and then stage 4 gastric cancer.  Her first post about it is here.  The idea of “Swimming for Katie” came from her recent post here.
This exclusive stamp used in my sample, designed by Becky Oehlers is available as a clear stamp, as well as a digis or a dig and SVG cut file.  100% of the profits go to Katie's fund to help her and her young family.  Her husband Kevin and her three young children need our help and support.  In addition to the Keep Swimming Octopus, Marianne Walker and True =D Doodle Designs both also donated digis that are for sale.  Direct donations are also being accepted.  Information central is HERE.  This is a permanent page that will stay active at i {heart} papers with current information and the full 3 day blog hop listing, as well as the donation button.

ODBD Stamping In Time Challenge (SNTODBD45)!

It is time for ODBD Stamping In Time Challenge (SNTODBD45)! The assignment is to use Our Daily Bread Design stamps.  The challenge this rotation is all about color!    Fall Colors that is!  Combine one, two, or more fall colors to your card or projects.  Release your Autumnal hues!

For my card I am using ODBD's Full of Grace set from the Blessings Collection.  I used Cheery Lynn's Kiwi doily die.   I kept this card pretty simple and just chose one color of fall to focus on.   I love the golds!  I cut the kiwi doily out twice using The Paper Company's cream cardstock and layered.  I ink distressed the edges and rolled them a bit for added texture and dimension.  I think this photo really showcases all the intricate cuttings, piercings, and embossing that make these dies so amazing.  I layered some Spellbinders.   I ink distressed the center sentiment panel.  I stitched the panels.  I finished with  a cream color seam binding bow, a prima flower, and two gold pearls.  I am playing along with Moxie Fab World:  Tuesday Trigger inspiration picture.  Just love the warm golds and intricate doily look from the picture.

Happy Monday!  I am using Verve's Believe and Words of Wisdom stamp sets.  I combined the images with some Spellbinder's dies and Verve's Curvy Bookplate and From the Heart dies.   I layered some MME  Blush designer papers all in wonderful hues of pink.  I used a dress form die and added a 1/4" grosgrain ribbon Breast Cancer Ribbon topped with a tiny heart and pearl.   I added a seam binding bow and some fun pink and white pearls my dd bought for me with her own money! Cool, huh?  She is only 17 so I thought that it was very thoughtful and sweet of her!  I am using the sketch from MOJO Monday 209!    As always thanks so much for hopping by!

I know no one whose family has not been affected by this terrible disease.  In the past few years my family members have experienced a breast cancer scare and  one a double mastectomy.    I just know one day a little girl will walk hand in hand with her mommy into a museum and in a clear box will be the pink ribbon.  The little girl will ask...."What was the pink ribbon for, mommy?"  The mom will say...."It represented HOPE and the WORLDWIDE FIGHT for a CURE.....and, it WORKED!"

Happy Saturday!  Hope you are enjoying the HOP so far!  For today I created a quick and easy gift bag with card ensemble.   We always need a few quick and easy gifts at the ready just in case during the Christmas season.

For the card, I used some of My Mind's Eye Lost and Found Christmas papers.   I stamped the Joy Tree image using versamark and embossed in gold.  I love this image!  So elegant and different with the different fonts and song shaped into a tree.  I actually made the tree a wee bit smaller by using the  Spellbinder's lacey pennant die to cut it out.   I love this option.  I added a picture so you can see how beautifully gold it is.   I added a Spellbinder's border, to the top of the card and topped it off with a few gold pearls.   I added a seam binding bow.  I finished with a few gold pearls and gold memory thread bow.   Please note the tiny stars in the background dp.  It mimics the stars on the tree.  Love that!

I made the gift bag from ivory card stock and stamped the Christmas Collage stamp in versamark and gold embossed.  Cut out and adhered to the front of my bag.  This stamp is so detailed and has the perfect look.  It just completes the whole bag or card front with one stamp!  Love that!   I added some seam binding handles and a smaller Spellbinder's lacey pennant for tag that I lightly stamped in a different color with the same stamp.  I stuff the bag with a few goodies and was done!  I just fell in love with the hounds tooth print pencils I got in the dollar spot at Michael's.  I thought I would add a couple of those in just in case some of you are looking for quick and easy teacher gifts.

As always thanks so much for stopping by!

From here, hop to Dina's Blog!
