My Happy!

Hello!  It has been a few days since I posted a card.  My husband and I have decided to put our home on the market. We are not moving far away just in another area close by.  We have spent the better part of three weeks purging and cleaning.  I think I spent two weeks just in my craft room. It is amazing how much stuff we collected in ten years.   We may be able to list within the next two weeks.

Even though I have not had a chance to get crafty lately, that does not mean that I did not take time to shop.  My PTI goodies came so I just had to sneak off to the craft room and get inky.  I am playing with this week's PTI Make It Monday: spritz stamping.  I used this week's CAS(E) this Sketch, and The Paper Players Challenge: watercolor.

I kept this card really CAS!  I did not even use my new dies with this Tropics stamp set.  I used watercolor paper and olive and mowed lawn Ranger distress inks before spritzing with water.  I stamped the sentiment with Versafine onyx black.  I used some Ranger Frayed burlap for the splatters.  I finished with a few black sequins.  I used the sketch upsidedown.

Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge: Unicorn!

It's time for a new Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge!

The LEAD of this challenge will be invited to be a guest designer in an upcoming challenge!

For my card I  started with some water color paper and distress inks.  I brushed on some grass and sky.  I used the distress sprayer to add some water splatters.  I blotted with a paper towel.  Since the theme is all about unicorns, I decided to go all out.  Of course, after all of my years collecting stamps, I still do not have a unicorn.  I had to "make" one...sort of!  I used MFT The Whole Herd stamps and die namics.  I used the horse in this set.   I used wink of stella to color the horse and shades of pink distress inks for the mane and hooves.  I added a hand-cut unicorn horn using gold glitter card stock....ta da...my instant Unicorn!

I figured a unicorn must reside in a sparkly barn.  I used MFT Barn die namics and die cut with smooth white, shades of pinks, and some silver glitter card stocks.  I assembled the barn and inlaid a few of the pink panels on the door.    I added a gold glitter fence using MFT Rolling Hills fence die namics. I added the sentiment from MFT Bling It On.  I finished with a few tiny stars and gold sequins.

For my card I chose to play off of the inspiration piece with the distressed look, green forest background, and bright pops of color. I used Glitz Finnley designer paper  for my background.  I die cut and stamped Verve's Happy Place stamp set and Happy Doodles die set.

I colored the flowers with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol.  I added some Wink of Stella to give them some shine.  I stamped the sentiment from same set using Versafine Onyx Black ink.  I finished with some loose threading and some Verve Shine Bright Sequin Mix.

Need a little inspiration? Check out the blogs linked below to see what the other Divas did with the challenge! It's sure to be a treat, and speaking of treats, we're giving away a $30 gift voucher to Verve to one random commenter along the hop.  Just leave a little love as you hop about for a chance to win!
