To Love and Be Loved and Purge Hop Winner's Day!

I have  a quick sort of shabby chic card to share today. I am using Verve's Feel the Sun, Tag Time, Text Object, and the newly released Wings of Love sets.  I also used Wavy Hearts and Rectangle Tag dies.  I combined the images with some Authentique Uncommon designer papers.  I outlined the wings with a Sakura gel pen for some added sparkle.  I added a fun postage stamp edge using Spellbinder's Book Pages 2.  I finished with a few tiny silver pearls and a soft gray seam binding bow ties around my double layered rectangle tags.

LOVE, Shining the Light and MORE!

Happy Sunday!  I have a card to share today using one of ODBD January release sets called God's Love.  I am playing along with ODBD Shining the Light Love Recipe Challenge. to make a card using the word LOVE, a heart or both along with the colors red and white, pink and white, or red, white, and pink.  I think I accomplished them all.  I combined the scripture with the ornate LOVE with some Echo Parks Truly Yours designer papers.   I slightly inked distressed the edges.  I used the stamp a ma jig to perfectly place the scripture on the top portion of the circle die.  I layered my scripture with the Spellbinder's Heart Circles die.   I finished with a seam binding bow and a little circle tag with a cut out heart.

As always thanks so much for stopping by!

Viva La Verve CAS I LOVE YOU!

WooHoo!  It is the weekend and I have a card to share!  For years Verve has been bringing you Viva La Verve sketch challenges every Friday. However, this year the last Friday of the month comes with a Viva La Verve Twist.  We are rockin' a CAS sketch!  Shannan is the host this week for VLV. For a girl who LOVES layering it on, this one definitely brings on the challenge for me.   Who does not love a little challenge and a toss out of their comfort zone from time to time, though.

For my card I actually used a piece of white card stock and did not distress or ink a think.  That's right.  NO stamps on this baby.  I used Verve Cut Above Dies and my handy Scor- Pal.

I am using Verve's Cut Above Wavy Hearts Die set and I Heart U die set. I layered the I and the U with some Echo Park designer paper and a shadow of the same letters in black slightly showing from underneath. I die cut the larger of the Wavy Hearts die out with some red glitter cardstock. I scored my horizontal A2 fold and scored the horizontal border in keeping with the sketch with the score-pal.   I really wanted to add more, but did not. That was the hard part!

As always thanks so much for stopping by!

For my card I am using Verve's newly released Twitterpated and Wings of Love(tiny hearts stamp) stamp sets.  I combined them with To the Moon set as well.  While this release focuses on Valentine's Day and St. Patrick's Day, I totally saw some baby possibilities.  If you notice, I actually used the Verve sparkly tissue paper that comes with each  order to make my baby bundle.   I really love this little guy! Lots of possibilities with this release for sure.   I am also using Verve's Cut Above newly release Hearts and Swirls frame die with From the Heart die set for a little heart tag.

I am using the Viva La Verve Week 2 Sketch!  Andrea is the host this week.  Awesome sketch, Andrea!

As always, thanks so much for stopping by!  Enjoy hopping!

Winter Wishes Just for You! Mojo and CC357!

I have a card to share with you today using the Mojo Monday Sketch 223 and colors from SCS CC357  (Blushing Bride Red Riding Hood Red and Baja Breezes).  For this card I opened my brand new paper pack...Fancy Pants Winterland for a fun winter shabby chic feel.  I am using Verve's  Glad Tidings and Bountiful Backgrounds   stamp sets.  I am also using Verves A Cut Above Dies  Jotted Heart Die which stamped with memento rhubarb and inked the edges in sweet blush inks.  I die cut the Snowflake Tidings dies out in some glitter card stock.  A stamp image coordinates beautifully with these dies, but for this card, I just used the dies by themselves.  I finished with a sentiment stamped on the smaller of the Tiny Sweet Scallop dies.

As always thanks so much for stopping by!

   2-  Use two of something
     0-  Use zero of something
 1- Use one of something
2- Use two of something else

For my card I am using ODBD Scripture Collection 5.  I combined some monochromatic colors of MME designer papers, stitched the frame and added a Spellbinder's pennant die cut.   For the challenge I used  2- Two embellishments (gems, button), 0- no embossing, 1- die cut, 2- ties( seam binding and memory thread).

January Diva Inspirations Blog Hop!

Welcome to the January Diva Inspirations Blog Hop! Our Diva Inspirations team is here at a new date, the 5th of the month, to inspire you with a little Verve ! You can start the Hop at the Verve blog.  Continue through and comment on each fabulous blog and leave a little comment love and you just might win some Vervey goodness of your very own!  If you got here from the  Verve blog you are in the right place.

For my card, I am using Verve's Love Story, Words Cannot Express, Sunny Days, and Celebration of Thanks stamp sets.    I am using Verve's Cut Above Lovely Marque die, Tiny Sweet Scallop die, Leafy Sprigs die, and From the Heart Dies.

I stamped the Marque frame image from Love Story and die cut it with the Lovely Marque die. I stamped the sentiment from Words Cannot Express inside.     I die cut one of the Tiny Sweet Scallop die  and stamp it with one of the sentiments in Celebration of Thanks.  I also used the flourished image in the set to accent the edges of the tag.   For the sprig, I used the sprig image from Sunny Days .  I rocked and rolled the image with some aqua mist and Memento pear ink.  I die cut using the Leafy Sprigs die.  I love how perfectly these dies cut out.  Speaking of which, check out this image of From the Heart Dies.   Each die comes with these circle  cut outs on the edges so the dies can be lined up perfectly.  However, here I chose to use those tiny circle dots for an accent on my leaves and top right of the card instead of just throwing them away. Love that especially with the glitter cardstock that I used here.  It is like little faux gems.

I finished my card with some stitching, a seam binding bow,  and a solid button!

As always thanks so much for stopping by!  Next on the hop is super talented Dawn's blog!

Flourishes Bring Back Beautiful (BBB18)!

Happy New Year!  Hope you are ready to Bring Back Beauty (BBB18)  with some Bling!  This month's challenge is all about the beauty of bling!    Can I get a WooHoo!?!  LOL!  I love some bling!

For my card I am using Flourishes Irish Blessing stamp set.  I  stamped the bunch of shamrocks with Flourishes Classic Ivory card stock.  I colored with Flourishes Copic Color Collection.  I cut out and added an assortment of hues of green glitters to the little leaves.  I finished off the greens with a few touches of clear for added shine.  And, if that was not enough, I had to add a few black glitter cardstock  Spellbinder die cuts in the corners.  I finished with a few touches of black gems to the corners and to the bouquet of shamrock handle.

Check out what the rest of the team created with the
Beauty of Bling theme!

Happy New Year!   I have a card to share with you today.  I am using several of the new sets released today.  First of all, I decided to go a bit simple for the outside of my card.  I am using the Bleeding Hearts image.  This is the perfect size and fun to color.  I added some subtle sparkle with a Sakura gel pen.  I added a sentiment  from Mini Tags 3.   For the inside of the card, I decided to do a bit of a collage with the new stamps.  I am using God's Love butterfly image stamp several times in a muted ink.  I then stamped with some vintage photo a script background at an angle hitting and missing in spots for a more distressed feel.  I inked the edges and added the Love scripture that comes in the set at the bottom perfectly placed using the Stamp a ma jig.  I also added the quote at the top using the stamp a ma jig.  There is still place to write in the middle.  Love this look and effect.

As always thanks so much for stopping by!  Blessings for a Wonderful 2012!  From here, hop to Dawn's blog
