Muse Christmas Visions 25 Days of Christmas Tags!

Welcome to Muse:  Christmas Vision 30!  Today, MCV is sponsoring Day 24 of Tracey's The 25 Days of Christmas Tags event. There are prizes to be won on Tracey's Blog "In My Creative Opinion" and also at MCV. Make sure you go and check out the details!

The whole MCV Design Team (and some special guests) are playing along today. The MCV Tag theme is red and green with a tree element.

Here is my tag!

I started with a die cut watercolor paper tag.  I watercolored the background and let it dry.  I added a coating of Wink of Stella all over the background.  Next, I stamped my sentiment from Verve's Christmas in the Air stamp set several times using my MISTI.

I die cut two Verve's Winter Fun die set Christmas trees in red and green glitter card stock and added to the tag.

I added some red and white twine, two bells, and a few of Verve's Shine Bright Sequin Mix, and my tag was ready to go.  I just love all of the sparkle!

As always thanks so much for hopping by!

Muse Christmas Visions Challenge CVC29!

Happy Wednesday!  It is the 3rd Wednesday of the month and time for  MUSE:  Christmas Vision Card Club Challenge!

I die cut the Sentiments Splits:Curve Vertical die in pure poppy.  I only used the top portion. I glued it to a PTI  white card stock base.  I then die cut and stamped Spruce and Sprigs onto stampers white card stock using pinefeather, pure poppy, and new leaf inks.  I die cut a few of the sprigs with gold foil card stock.

I created the arrangement and popped a few pieces up using foam mounting tape.  I stamped the "Merry" in black using the Christmas Cheer stamp set.  I die cut the "Christmas" using Christmas Cheer dies in gold foil.  I love the card as it is and felt it really did not need any further embellishing.

Whether you are inspired by the colors, the gold, the spruce and sprigs, or just the festive layers, I hope my card inspires you to create a Christmas creation of your own.  I can't wait to see what you create.  Make sure you link up your creations HERE!

Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge: Foxy!

It's time for a new Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge!

 (modcloth.com)

The LEAD of this challenge will be invited to be a Guest Designer in an upcoming challenge!

This challenge has perfect timing.  I needed an Anniversary card for my hubby of 22 years!  I knew he would just LOVE this one.  I started with some ranger inks and watercolor paper.  I did the smooshing technique with a kick.  I used vintage photo, brushed corduroy, scattered straw, tea dye, and peeled paint inks.

For the most part, I used my heat gun to dry the colors in between so it would not get muddy.  However, I did not thoroughly dry the last color before I added the versamark splatters with a watercolor brush.  Next, I heat embossed the versamark splatters in gold.  Some of the splatters ran once they hit the wet watercolor paper giving this really cool look when embossed.   I tried to get a picture of the effect.  I die cut and stamped the fox using more watercolor paper then actually watercolored the fox.  He is very clever and sly this one.  He blends in to the background.  So very Foxy!  I am playing along with this week's CAS(E) this Sketch!

For the scripture sentiment, I used 2 Corinthians 12:9 Plain Jane.  I die cut this panel using Verve's Rounded Rectangle die.  Next, I die cut and stamped the deer using Verve's Unto Us stamp set and Reindeer Fun die set.   I finished my card with a tag using Verve's Faith Medley stamp set die cut with the oval in Charming Oval die set.

Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge: Plush and Plaid!

The LEAD will be invited as a Guest Designer in a future challenge!

When I think of plaids, I think of cold, snowy weather and a roaring fire.  I stamped a plaid backgrounder stamp I had in my stash in black onto pure poppy card stock.  I love the richness of a red and black plaid.  I die cut a stitched rectangle die from vintage cream card stock.

I stamped this panel with Brushed Off stamp set using aqua mist ink at the top and the bottom using the wide brush off rectangle image.  I die cut the pierced snowflake with the bitty dot patterned vellum.  I layered the Let it Snow from Christmas Cheer die.  I also die cut some of the paper patterned images from the Make It Market Mini Kit:  Holiday Folk to add some details.  I finished with a few sequins.
