With All Your Heart! Sneak Peek!

Happy Friday!  I am so happy!  I get to go pick up my dd at college today and bring her home for the long weekend!  I miss her so much!  It is taking some adjusting not having her buzz in and out daily.

I have a card to share with you today that sneak peek's ODBD Scripture Series 3 stamp set that is to release September 1st!  I just love the selection of scriptures in this set and the wonderful font!

For my card I got to play with some Echo Park For the Record 2 "Documented" designer papers.  I ink distressed and stitched the panels.  I added this fun Spellbinders heart frame that I think works perfectly with this scripture.  To add a bit of flair to the layout I used more of the background designer paper and divided the center circle with the pattern only on half.  I finished edge with some fabric strung flatback pearl accenting.  I finished the whole card with a simple seam binding bow.

As always thanks so much for stopping by!  Don't forget tomorrow is the big ODBD Release Day Hop!  Starts 8 am EST.  You are not going to want to miss it!

You are such a Blessing to Me! C4C151

Happy Saturday, everyone!  It is time for another challenge with the crazies at Crazy 4 Challenges(C4C151).   Silke is the hostess for August.     This week she has a sketch!

For my card I am using ODBD Flourished Verses I combined the sentiment with some fun patterns papers that I heavily distressed and layered.    I also inked distressed and stitched the edges.  I added a seriously honking seam binding bow.  I just love this shade of green.   I added a button and topped with a jumbo pearl.   I used one of the design elements on the designer papers to act as my focal image and just stamped the sentiment.  A great way to pull together a card really fast.  Let the paper do most of the work!

Check out what the rest of the team did with this week's challenge!

As always thanks so much for stopping by!

Today's card spotlights Treasured Words stamp set.  I am also using Borderline stamp set and Verve's Cut Above Mini Vintage Oval, Pennant Trim, Rounded Rectangle  and Rounded Scalloped Frame dies.

I started with some MME Lost & Found Sunshine dp.  I decided to keep this card fairly simple since it is a baby card.   I stitched the inside panel only.  I stamped the adorable baby buggy that comes in the set and paper pieced.  I did accent the dots with copic marker.  I added the layer sentiment.  I told you all I LOVE these new mini frame dies.   I just had to use this one.    I added three little pennants trim pieces to the bottom of the scalloped frame each topped with a tiny button brad.  I finished with a coordinating seam binding bow and button.

I am showcasing Borderline stamp set and Mini Bookplate die.  I combined Verve's Tag Time and Blue Skies stamp sets along with Verve's Curvy Bookplate die.

First of all, I just have to say I just love all of the dies and stamps releasing tomorrow night.  However, if I have to pick a favorite, I am just in LOVE with these little layering mini dies and stamp frames.  Oh, my word!  It has taken much will power to not use them on every card this week(I did use them on several ;0))!  Trust me when I say these are all truly must haves.  You will  reach for them time and time again.

As for my card details, I started with some fun papers Spring Fling by Teresa Collins.  I layered my colors.  The solid red paper in the center I stamped with Memento rhubarb ink the row of outlined hearts that come in the set to create my own tonal heartfelt dp.  Pun intended!  I stitched and lightly ink distressed all the edges.

For my focal image I die cut the Curvy Bookplate die three times, stamped the frame from Tag Time using Memento Rhubarb ink on to all three.  I then used the flourished image from Blue Skies to stamp toward the edge of two.  I then layered all three to create a fun larger formed focal frame.  Next,  I die cut both Mini Bookplate dies.  One is slightly larger than the other.  The larger one I used some of coordinating dp.  The smaller one uses cream card stock.  I stamped the new mini frame that comes in Borderline using Memento rhubarb ink.  I stamped one of the sentiments.  I chose hugs from afar for this card.  Isn't it just sweet!

I finished my card with some sporadic positioned silver pearls and topped the card off with some coordinating seam binding and button with twine knot.

For my card I am showcasing Learning to Sail stamp set and Flourished Trim Die.  I also combined with Verve's Cut Above Jotted Heart die and the Mini Bookplate die set.

I am using this week's Mojo255 Sketch.
I combined some MME Market Street papers from my stash.  It was slim pickings from this pad, though.  Only a couple of sheets left.   I ink distressed a bit, stitched around the panels, added the focal elements, and a coordinating seam binding bow.  I stamped the little start to one of the hearts and added some glitter for a touch of sparkle.  The  Flourished Trim Die sits on both sides of the seam binding for an added detail.  Of course,  it appears that I covered most of it up with my focal hearts and sentiment.  Speaking of sentiment, I  am just loving these new Mini Label dies.  I just keep reaching for any of the new three sets. LOVE THEM!

For my card I am using Stronger Love set, Scroll Plain Jane and Flourished Trim and Scroll Dies.  I also used Verve's Small Phrases stamp set, too, to build a sentiment in my stamped framed scroll die.  I stamped the sentiment, softly sponged around the edges, and added the heart that comes in the set.  I had to add some sparkle.

Next, I stamped the scroll once with ivory card stock and once in black.  The black I cut down the center the long way to give me a mat/frame detailing for my scroll.   I also stamped the tiny dotted heart flourished image with these sentiments.  Again, I added some sparkle.   I  layered the new Flourished Trim die over my seam binding to give added contrast.   I finished with seam binding bow and heart charm!

I am also playing along with Verve's Anni-VERVE-sary 2012 Challenges Day 2.
Moe is the host! She challenges us to make an Anniversary
card using metal or wood since those are 5 year Anniversary gift
ideas. I added a little metal heart charm!

I am using this week's SCS Color Combo Challenge CC389! Bravo Regal Starfruit! Check out the link for more details and to find out what the dessert option is all about!   My card also uses Deconstructed Sketch No. 64.   I did opt for an A2 size.

ODBD Special Birthday Blog Hop!

Happy Monday!  Today, the ODBD designers are celebrating a very special lady's birthday!  Happy Birthday, Randi Barrett!  You can read about Randi's story here.

If you just hopped over from Debi's blog you are in the right spot.  If not, you may want to start at the ODBD Blog!

Randi has a stamp set in the store dedicated to her called Randi's Song For my card today I used elements from this set along with the poppy image from Mother's Day and the sentiment from the Happy Birthday set.  I used ODBD Custom Poppy die.  This image and die come with stem included.  I just snipped the top of the poppy off and colored with copics. I added some gun metal stickles to the centers.  I stamped the scripted verse in Randi's Song set inside the large scalloped August Release Bookmark Collection of  ODBD Spellbinder's Exclusive Bookmark dies.  I lightly sponged inside.  I did cut this die down.  For this card the bookmark die is used as more of a tag than a bookmark.  It is adhered to the card.

Next, I stamped the two step leaves that come in Randi's Song with Memento Pear and a couple with New Sprout inks.  The veining stamp was stamped with ripe avocado inks.  I cut those out and inked the edges a bit.  I then arranged my three flowers and the leaves to create a fun and colorful arrangement to coordinate with my background paper.  I finished with a double ended fishtail sentiment, seam binding bow, and some gold metallic memory thread curly que touches.

As always thanks so much for stopping by!  Next on the hop is Sandee's blog!

I am using Sketchbook #73

For my card I am using Viva la Verve sketch August Week 1!  The host is Amber!  Love the sketch, Amber!  I created a faux square card look by extending the focal circle element off the side of my A2 card.

Today I am spotlighting Brighter Days stamp set along with  Dream Big  stamp set.    I am also showcasing the Arrow and Scalloped Flowers die sets along with Rounded Scallop Frames, Rounded Rectangle, Tiny Sweet Scallop, and Dreamy Leaves die sets.   Love the wonderful sentiments that come in this set and the beautiful fonts.

I stamped the scalloped flowers onto dp, die cut, ink distressed a bit, and added some glitter.  I topped it off with some stickles with a big red gem smooshed in the center.   I just LOVE this new arrow die!  I think it looks fabulous all sparkly, too!  Of course while I was having my glitter moment, I could not leave out my Dreamy Leaves!   SO MUCH GLITTER!

The clipboard was created using the Rounded Scallop Frames, Rounded Rectangle,
and  Tiny Sweet Scallop  dies.  For the clip part I used as small piece aluminum foil adhered to some kraft card stock and die cut with the smaller of the tiny sweet scallop dies(I did use the non shiny side of the foil).  This die comes complete with a tiny hole in the top so it works perfectly as a clipboard clip!  I  glued it to the piece of paper in the clipboard at an angle using a dimensional to give some slight loft like a real clipboard clip.   I would just LOVE  a scalloped edge clipboard!  Why don't they make those?

I finished with a big "honking" seam binding bow topped with button and red memory thread.

Happy Sunday!  I have an ABC project to share with you today!  I am playing along with the Anni-VERVE-sary 2012 Challenges Day 5.   For my ANYTHING BUT a CARD project, I chose to make some Inspirational Cubes to give my dd away at University!  We just moved her in Thursday.  It has been an emotional couple of days so the best therapy is to lose yourself in your crafty space.

The top cube front is a drawer.  I used the Sweet Treats stamp set along with the Classy Label and Mini Classy Label dies.  Is it not beautiful how these smaller dies look with these stamped die cut  frames?  LOVE!  I stamped the frame image from Memento Grape Jelly.  This panel does give a sneaky peek at a set spotlighted later in the week called Borderline.  I topped the layers off with two buttons to act as my cool drawer pull so to speak.

For the other side of the cube I used the Pennant Trim die and topped each pennant with a baby bead letter.   I then stamped the flower from today's Spotlighted Wonderfully Made stamp set several times onto newsprint dp using Memento grape jelly ink.  I roughly cut those out and layered.  Instead of using the attached leaves I opted for the Dreamy Leaves die set stamped with the Dream Big leaves using Memento Pear.   One side of the cube has my dd name spelled out in die cut letters.  The top has some yellow glitter card stock.  The back is vacant for a photo or whatever my dd wishes to add to decorate it.  Also, the drawer is quite roomy.  She may want to store some desk supplies or Hershey kisses inside.

The bottom left cube spotlights two of the sentiments in the Wonderfully Made set.  I stamped those with some cream pigment ink and embossed.  It is truly striking.  I added seam binding bow in one of the corners and down the edges of the sentiments.  I wanted to keep this cube sort of clean since there are sentiments all over(a couple from sets released latter in the week).  I am hoping this one gets picked up and read a lot.  The back of this cube is opened to allow dd to add some fun little items of her choosing.   The bottoms on all three cubes I reserved for each family member to write an inspirational message to Erica.

The bottom right cube is a fun and functional little cube.   The top of this one is opened and I created a card stock paper divider.  There is one across and
two small ones.  The back I added a little notepad and post it notes.  The front I added a couple of pencils.  This cube has one side that has adhesive cork.  She can drop a post it note on it or decorated it how she sees fit.  Two sides have this yellow glitter card stock that I cut on the diagonal and adhered like a pocket...opened at the top and glued on three sides.  One pocket I left empty, the other I used  Tag Time stamp set with the Tagged Rectangle die. The sentiment and flower image comes from yesterday's spotlighted set Doodled Occasions.   I colored with some glitter.  I created the same flower  as the other cube and added to the bottom.

Each cube uses a 12 x 12 piece of card stock.  Each is 3 x 3.  They are opened on one side so it is more like a 5 side cube.   The drawer is smaller measuring 2.75.  The added front panel is the same size as the cube.  I used the used school colors Purple and Gold!
