Stamping In Time: On Assignment Challenge(SNTODBD23) and Blog Candy!

Welcome to Our Daily Bread Designs Stamping In Time: On Assignment Challenge (SNTODBD23)!    It is time to start mailing all those wonderful Christmas cards we have made so far this year. However, I am sure that many of us still need to whip up a few more. I am challenging everyone to make Christmas cards! You can create one or several. You can enter as many times as you like. You can mass produce a style or create a very detailed stand alone card. The choice is yours! If you have any Christmas card creating or mailing tip, please share with us in your blog post. Anything to make the process easier is a good thing! While ODBD stamps are required, others are allowed. We look forward to seeing what you create using ODBD stamps! Our Daily Bread Design stamps!

I created four cards so far using a basic format.  I wanted a type of mass producing, but allowing each card to have some individuality.  When I think of mass producing cards per se, I think of  like colored cardstocks, embellishments, and stamp selection. The process begins with a card and all products are cut and assembled to end with a set of cards just alike.  I wanted to take this process a step farther in that I wanted the concept of each card similar, but each card having its own look.  I started with  a basic layout and an assortment of Christmas designer papers.  For these cards I am using Webster's Pages and Memory Box Tinsel.   I chose the cardstock to coordinate with the designer paper for each card.  I chose a sentiment from various selections of ODBD stamps.  For my cards I am using ODBD  Luke 2:11, Christmas Verses, Blessed Christmas, and His Gift stamp sets.  I paired each sentiment with a Spellbinder's Nestabilities.  I sponged the edges of the base, sponged inside the nesties frame with the sentiment in a like color, added a bow and flourishes pearls or regular pearls and my cards were complete.  I hope to complete a few more that I will post later. Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge(FTTC93), SCS CC297, and MORE!

It is time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge (FTTC93)! This week Dee Jackson is our challenge host! It is begining to look a lot like Christmas so many of us really need to get some Christmas cards ready for mailing! Dee is challenging us to "Just Do It!" Get those Christmas cards done! You may need to make several for this challenge! We would love to see what you create!

I am using Flourishes newly released set called Vintage Postcard.  I stamped the main image onto kraft cardstock and embossed in white.  I distressed the edges and used ranger vintage photo to sponge the edges.  For my background, I wanted to create a soft collage feel using the colors from SCS CC297.  Pefect Pizzazz Breezes.  I combined several sets to create this look.  I used images from Christmas Music, Fanciful Flourishes, and I Believe!  Still practicing with my sewing machine stitching.  Aside from my seam binding vintage bow with button accenting.  I added a total contrast with my die cut sparkly flourish!

Stamptacular Sunday Challenges, a DIGI Christmas Bear, and MORE!

It is Stamptacular Sunday Challenge!  This week's challenge is HIDE and SEEK!  Make a card or project and hide the sentiment.  Robyn's Fetish is one of this week's prize sponsors.  I chose to work with this adorable Christmas Bear image.  Isn't he cute!  I chose to make a topper mini card fold for my  card to hide a sentiment inside.  Click on the picture at the right to see a closer view.  And, believe it or not my big bow holds it close!  Ta Da!  A fun little clever way to keep it closed that just sort of happened.  Love those crafting "moments."  
I am using some assorted designer papers that I have in my stash.  I have had this one awhile.  I printed my digital image in the size that I wanted, colored it, and added some fun layers and detailing to create a fun Christmas card!  The sentiment on the inside is from PTIs Signature Christmas set.

I tried to keep the same layout.  I changed the color and theme.  I did include an animal even if mine is a stuffed one.   Also, I used a digi image from Robyn's Fetish!  Plus, I just recently won some blog candy from Pattie and received it already!    WOW!  I really heart all of my stuff.  Thanks so much, Pattie!

ODBD Release Day Blog Hop!!!

Since these two sets are all about Christmas and God's gifts, I thought it would be great to make gift tags using each of the sets! These were pretty fast and fun to make! The snowflakes are done using versamark and some red ep! I layered some petite circle and scallop nesties and used both of the snowflakes in the set. They are truly sparkly in real life. One of the sentiments from the set is stamped on the back. You can click on the pictures to see a larger image.

For the scripture tag, I stamped off of the script poinsettia image and stamped the scripture inside. I sponged with ranger inks to create more of a vintage look. I used one of the spellbinders nestabilities shapes to create my tag look. I also used a scrap piece of my SEI dp. Love that! This dp is beautiful and weighty enough to stand alone. This way the back is just as beautiful as the front of my tag!
