Dreams! Verve MOJO, Color Throwdown, and MORE!

Happy Wednesday!  I had a chance to play in my craft room this afternoon.  I decided to use this week's MOJO Monday Sketch 192 and the colors from Color Throwdown 143.  I am using Verve Blue Skies, Bloom and Grow, Bountiful Backgrounds, and Text Objects stamp sets.  I am also using the Elegant Leaves Die and the Flutterby Die.

I found the Crate Paper Emma's Shoppe Collection paper pack to have all of the colors for the Color Throwdown challenge.  I really love this book binding print.  It is cute and fun.  For my leaf die cut.  I chose to lay a couple of the bountiful background strips side by side on the acrylic block.  I inked up with Memento Pear ink.  I took the solid leaf image from the Bloom and Grow and kissed the inked background  and stamped onto my cardstock and die cut.  I then inked the solid image up and stamped off and lightly stamped onto the kissed stamped image.  I love this patterned effect.  I decided to use another designer page from the pack to die cut my butterfly.  The little tag was created by stamped the stitched heart from Text Objects set and cutting out and distressing slightly the edges.

As always thanks so much for stopping by!

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge(FTTC119), CR84FN, and MORE!

Happy Tuesday! It is time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge(FTTC119)! Dee Jackson is the challenge host.  She is challenging us to make a gift using a premade bag or one we make ourselves.   We would love to see what you create!

For my card, I am using  Flourishes Country Charm Labels, Country Charm Borders, Strips and Stripes, and Birthday Pennants stamp sets.  I chose to make two bags using cardstock. I am using Flourishes Classic ivory cardstock.  I am also using some Paper Company kraft.
For the pattern on my paper, I created my own background combining different border strips from the Country Charm Borders and Strips and Stripes sets.  I nested the strips side by side and inked them all to stamp my "designer" background.  This is fun and offers so many background possibilities and looks with different inks and cardstocks.  The first one I stamped onto kraft using white snow ink.  I used Fiskars decorative pinking shears on the top.  I stamped the frame image from the Country Charm Labels and die cut with the Spellbinders coordinating Grommet Tags.  I attached my tag with adhesive and two gem brads.  I sponged the edges with chamomille ink.

The second bag I stamped the same background.  I decided not to mix up the strips at this point.  I am using Memento Lulu Lavender and Sweet Plum inks.  I stamped a different frame from the Country Charm Labels set and used the coordinating Spellbinder's Grommet Tags to cut out.  I used dimensionals to attach.  I made this one a bit more girly with some dyed to match seam binding, a floral button, and prima rose. The sentiment for both bags was stamped using the Birthday Pennants set.  I stuffed both bags in the top pick with some seam binding that I dyed today.  My dd will probably end up using these little bags.  I could have used some candy, but I probably would have sampled it so I opted for a more non-edible stuffing.  Finish measurement is 3 x 4.5.

ODBD Stamping In Time Challenge(SNTODBD35)!

It is time for Our Daily Bread Designs Stamping In Time: On Assignment Challenge(SNTODBD35)!  The assignment is Our Daily Bread Design stamps.   The challenge this rotation is FRAME it out in TEXTURE! Create your own textured frames using embossing folders, embossed stamped images, or cut out embossed designer papers!  We look forward to seeing what you create using ODBD stamps!

For my card I am using Mother's Day and Mini Tags 2 stamp sets.  I am also using the Poppy die and Vintage Border die.   I am using Prima Reflections designer papers. I layered various patterns of the Prima Reflections papers.  I embossed the floral background as well as the oval background.  I cut out the Vintage Border die with designer paper and backed with black cardstock. I stamped the poppy image several times on designer paper.  I paper pieced sections of the flower and enhance shading with copic markers. I layered a couple of the die cut flowers to create more depth. I finished with  some glitter.

I wanted to share with you what I am calling my "Product Find of the Week!"   Many of you may know of this wonderful stuff called Memory Thread.  I did not.  I found it while roaming the aisle's at Mike's(aka Micheal's). It comes in many colors, but I was most taken with the metallic gold and silver.  I love to add the curly ques to my bow topper with gold or silver wire cording.  This memory thread is like liquid silver or gold.  It is wonderful!  Thought I would share.  I really need to get this stuff in other colors!

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge(FTTC118) and MORE!

Happy Tuesday! It is time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge(FTTC118)!  This week Tammy is the challenge host.  She has an inspiration picture handcrafted by Julia Sandvoss. for us this week be inspired by this week.   We would love to see what you create!   I am using the colors from SCS Color Combo CC323.  Rich Razzleberry, Regal Rose, and Ivory.

For my card, I am using Flourishes I am using Flourishes newly released Wedded Bliss stamp set. I am using Flourishes Classic cardstock. I am also using Melissa Francis 5th Avenue paper pack from the kit of the month.

I layered a couple of Spellbinder's.  When I think of topiaries, I think of structure framed flowered shapes.  For my inspiration, I used the shape concept for my card with spellbinder frames.  I layered  Labels 20 and one of the Fancy Tags 2 die cuts together and ran through my machine.  I love the negative interior frame the fancy tag 2 shape makes in the center of the ornate Label 20. I used the Nested Lacey Pennant tag for my sentiment.
