Autumn Wishes!

Happy Sunday!    It is time for another Crazy 4 Challenge with the Crazies!   Check out the C4C blog for more challenge details at Crazy 4 Challenges(C4C205).

This week's challenge is all about a bow!

For my card I am using Verve's Autumn Splendor and Harvest Blessings stamp sets along with the newly released  Verve's Cut Above Award Banner Trim die.  I combined some MME designer papers.  Added some sewing machine stitches and ink distressing.  I finished with some gold pearls and Verve's Polka Dot Basics Ribbon Collection in Licorice Cream.  I am using this week's Deconstructed Sketch (DS120).

I got up bright and early so I could have some free time in the crafty space.  I am playing along with this week's PTI  Make It Monday Challenge.  The challenge this week is layered bordered dies to create backgrounds.  I was perusing Pinterest when this ruffled quilt caught my eye.   The perfect inspiration for my layered die cut background.   I used the Autumn Background Pieces stamp set for the background, then layered the eyelet border die, stitched through centers, then ruffled/scrunched a bit.  I layered the thankyou die on top.

Merry Christmas! Crazy 4 Challenges and a Sketch!

Happy Saturday!   It is time for another Crazy 4 Challenge with the Crazies!   Check out the C4C blog for more challenge details at Crazy 4 Challenges(C4C204).

This week's challenge is a sketch!

For my card I am using Verve's Merry Wishes stamp set along with Verve's Cut Above Banner Bundle die and Snowflake Tidings die.  For the top banner I used the negative portion of the die.  Layered some snowflake dies cut from glitter card stock and topped them with a silver pearl.  A quick and easy, yet sparkly Christmas card!

Thank You! Crazy 4 Challenges

Happy Saturday!   It is time for another Crazy 4 Challenge with the Crazies!   Check out the C4C blog for more challenge details at Crazy 4 Challenges(C4C203).

This week's challenge is all about white cards with optional colored image.

Getting back into a school routine is a bit grueling on the body for the first month or so.  I come home every day utterly spent.  However, yesterday I was all ready to create and get my card posted when I got home from school, but we had no internet.  If we could get on, it took forever.  I called and a technician came out today to repair the issue.  Thank goodness for Saturday service.

For my card I created a CAS card using some PTI rustic white card stock and some new stamps I have had on my craft desk for over a week and not had a chance to ink yet.  LOVE these new mums and dies.  I kept the base and layer completely white, but went with the colored image option.  I chose to use colorful mums in hues of golden yellow, pure poppy, and orange jest.

I have a card a couple of sweet treats to show today.  For my card I am using Verve's Meditations stamp set along with Verve's Wavy Heart  and Flag It (corner detail) dies.  I finished with a Verve's Truly Madly Deeply Ribbon Collection seam binding bow in Cotton Candy.

The next item I want to show you is a quick little sweet treat that is super simple  to make.  I just love Verve's Remember This stamp set for its versatility.  Every time I see this wonderful little sentiment that comes in the set,  I always think of Tootsie Rolls.  I just knew I had to come up with something that included this sweet treat.

First of all, I used Verve's Banner Bundle die set.  I used the largest die and cut it out twice.  I ink the larger frame from Remember This using Memento Cocoa ink.  I stamped both banners for a finish look front and back.  I scored each frame at a 1/4" across from straight edge side.  I used scor-tape and overlap one side to the other to create the gusseted top.  I stamped the front with the "THAT'S how I roll" sentiment in memento rhubarb ink.  I  added a sparkly gold glittered card stock star using Verve's  Starry die.

To add the tootsie rolls to the inside I just put a 1/2" strip of scor-tape to inside and place the candies directly onto it.  There is enough room on inside top flap to add a personal note.

As always thanks so much for stopping by!
Next on the hop is Karen!
