Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge(FTTC95), SCS CC299, Mojo, and More!

It is time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge(FTTC95)!  It is the last Tuesday of the month so we have us a challenge host! Mona Pendleton is our challenge host this month! Thanks so much Mona! Mona is challenging us to doilies! You can use actual doilies or create your own with punches or die cuts. The object is to have a doily look! We look forward to seeing what you create!

For my card I am using Flourishes Christmas Classics stamp set.  I found this wonderful inspiration piece from the 4 Crafty Chicks Challenge.   It worked out perfectly since I could only find silver doilies at the store.  I thought the silver doily looked sort of like the mirror in the inspiration piece.  I am using the colors from SCS CC299 Old Olive, River Rock, and Real Red!  I am also using the sketch from MojoMonday167.

Here is a bit of a close up of the glitzy snow stockings.  I used a glue pen to add some touches of sparkle to the top of the stockings and the items in the stocking.  I added more thicker dots of glue for a more snow glittered effect on the stocking.  I also used a diecut red glitter cardstock circle to back the ivory stocking focal circle.   Lately,  I am a bit glitter crazed!  Imagine that!

I am entering this in the following challenges...most are for Christmas!

Stamptacular Sunday Challenges, Gina K, MMSC, Throwdown, and MORE!

It is time for Stamptacular Sunday Challenge 87!  This week we are making cards or projects that use fall colors of choice, but sends some love to someone special!   I am using Gina K. Designs Lovely Labels and Comfort and Peace stamp sets.  I am using the fall colors from the  Color Throwdown #120.  What a beautiful trio of colors!  I am using the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge(MMSC81)!  Great sketch!  I think I once again sort of morphed the two options.

For my card, I stamped the Spellbinders label image, masked the center oval and sponged with some Ranger straw ink.  I then inked the flower image with some ripe avocado and blended two colors to give me the look of rich razzleberry on the flower portion.  I stamped over the sponged center.  I added a few gold pearls, layered Spellbinder frames, and finished with a bold bow! The background panel is script font background.  I stamped it in a muted razzleberry hue and some vintage photo ink.  I placed the cardstock with the script running down at a angle instead of left to right.  I sponged all of the ivory edges with camomille, and colored cardstocks with like colors.

My card is for a few other blog challenges, too!
Tip Top Tuesday #11: Layer upon Layers!

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge(FTTC94) and MORE!

It is time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge (FTTC94)!  This week Cindy Haffner is hosting. She is challenging us to a sketch she has designed. As far as sketches go, there is not much of an explanation necessary. You can turn it and modify the shapes to fit your size card, but in the end, it should still look like the sketch. Good Luck! We cannot wait to see what you create with it!
I am somewhat late with my FTTC card.  I guess better late than never!  I am having some computer issues.  They are not totally straightened out yet, but it is better than not being able to load at all.  I am using Flourishes Seasonal Wreathes and Christmas Classics (sentiment) stamp sets. I stamped the berry wreathe in Memento Rich Cocoa ink onto Flourishes Classic Ivory cardstock.  I colored with Flourishes Copic Color Collection using Dusty Rose.  I used a glue pen to add spots of glue on some of the berries to add some glitter accenting.  I decided the wreathe need a few tiny hearts to compliment the sentiment.  I used my MS heart border punch and added the tiny hearts that are made from the punch outs in the border.   I layered my card with Webster's Pages Waiting For Santa and Sweet Seasons and Memory Box Tinsel.   I am using the colors from Mona Pendleton's CR84FN5.  I lightly sponged all of the edges with camomile ink.  I also used two different colors of thread when I stitched.  One in ivory and one in chocolate.  This two toned sewing tip I picked up at Mona's blog.

This card is for a few more blog challenges! Pile It On: Winter Means:  Christmas decorating! Paper Romance:  Favorite Things (BOWS, seam tape, dp, gold pearls)!Scrappy Frog:  Christmas! Stamptacular Sunday Challenge with Prayer Pillows and MORE!

It is time for Stamptacular Sunday Challenge!  This week's challenge is to create a gift for giving!  Check out the link to find out how to play along!

I made a few Prayer Pillows.  The idea came to me from the tooth fairy pillows, but I think having some prayer pillows to give to some of my daughter's friends is a good idea, too.  The idea is to write down your prayers, tuck into the pocket, pray about it, and hang from nightstand or bedpost.   I designed these prayer pillows using felt.  I cut assorted colors at 4 1/4" squares.  I cut out the ODBD tag die cut in various colors of felt to create the prayer pockets.  I cut each tag to create a different color base with overlapping flap.  I stitched the pockets on first.  Then, I stitched squares and stuff with stuffing.  I added coordinating grosgrain ribbon for handles.  I finished with a button and red and white twine bow.

As with any gift, a nice gift tag is needed.  I once again used the ODBD tag die cut.  I  used the Mistletoe Tag stamp set for the frame and for the "homemade with love" sentiment.  I used the ODBD Poinsettia background inked in toile pink and sprout green to create a subtle background design.   I attached with some fun organdy ribbon.

My project today is for a few other blog challenges!

Oh, JOY! Three Cards, One Sketch, and Three Inspirations!

Happy Saturday!  I had some time to stamp for fun so I made three cards.  I came across this fabulous sketch at CPS163 and thought it would work fabulously with a few other blog challenges I wanted to play along with.  Plus, I got me a few new spellbinders in the mail so I had to play with those.  And, I have been wanting to try those fabulous paper medallions I am seeing everywhere!

The JOY card is inspired by The Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger Inspiration Picture.  I was inspired by the colors.  I was also inspired by the clothing.  I thought the houndstooth dp with the medallion offered a fabric look. To show emphasis with the red, I used a curvy die cut in red glitter cardstock.  I finished with sentiment.  I contemplated dyeing the letters pink, but I opted to just stain them a bit.  This card is also for a few other challenges.
Scrap-Creations:  Song Inspired ("JOY to the World")!
ABC Challenge:  H is for Holiday!
Paper Cutz:  Bling Christmas!
Creative Cottage: Someone Special Christmas!

The main inspiration for this card came from The Shabby Tea Rooms (TSTR36)!    I got me a couple of new Webster's Pages paper packs and was wanting to break into them and have some fun.   Stampin Royalty's Challenge was to use the DP as focal point.  I flipped through the pack and saw this wonderful tiered cupcake image and thought...that is perfect!  The sentiment came from GinaK. Lovely Labels 1 stamp set.  I think it works perfect for thankful and a Happy Birthday card.  This card is also for a few other blog challenges!
Tuesday Throwdown:  Buttons and Bows!
Tip Top Tuesday:  buttons!
Pixie Cottage:  buttons and bows
CCEE:  Buttons!
Simple Doodles:  buttons!
Notimetostamp:  Food Inspired!

This card is inspired by the picture and colors from Mona Pendleton's Color Challenge:  CR84FN4  I must get me a new pack of plum pudding.  I cannot believe, but this hue is one I am starting to gravitate toward more and more.  Odd, but fabulously!  This card in the trio of sketches is also for a few other challenges!
Creative Card Crew:  Give Thanks!
Fab n' Funky:  Forget me NOT!  I have had this Gina K.  Lovely Labels 1 set since it was released and I just inked this houndstooth image for this card.  I know the image is supposed to go with another spellbinders label, but I thought it looked pretty good with the label 14, too!  Sort of unexpected, but I heart that about playing with my stamps.
For Fun:  Thankful!
Southern Girls:  Fav color (plum pudding lately)!
Crafty Purple Frog:  Flowers!
Stamp Something: Thankful!

These Challenes work for all three cards.
Shoe Fits:  Sparkle!
Crazy For Challenges64:  Circles!
Daring Card Makers:  We Three.....card of the same sketch!
Simon Says:  Sparkle!

As always thanks so much for stopping by!

It is time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge (FTTC93)! This week Dee Jackson is our challenge host! It is begining to look a lot like Christmas so many of us really need to get some Christmas cards ready for mailing! Dee is challenging us to "Just Do It!" Get those Christmas cards done! You may need to make several for this challenge! We would love to see what you create!

I am using Flourishes newly released set called Vintage Postcard.  I stamped the main image onto kraft cardstock and embossed in white.  I distressed the edges and used ranger vintage photo to sponge the edges.  For my background, I wanted to create a soft collage feel using the colors from SCS CC297.  Pefect Pizzazz Breezes.  I combined several sets to create this look.  I used images from Christmas Music, Fanciful Flourishes, and I Believe!  Still practicing with my sewing machine stitching.  Aside from my seam binding vintage bow with button accenting.  I added a total contrast with my die cut sparkly flourish!

My card is for a few other challenges, too!

Stamptacular Sunday Challenge with a sketch and MORE!

It is time for Stamptacular Sunday Challenge!  This week's challenge is to get inspired from the Stamptacular Designer's cards!  Check out the link and find out how to play along.  Our sponsor this week is My Favorite Things.

For today's card, I played around with some red stitches this week.   I am using a combination stamp and die cut from MFT Stamps called Framed Greetings Die and Stamp set.  I stamped the frame and sentiment and cut out the shape.  I am using one of the chipboard hearts that came in a package from a blog win from Pattie Goldman.  I traced it and layered it with some glittery cardstock. I added the MFT sentiment to the heart with just one tiny touch of red bling.  Just a touch since my seam tape bow is so fou fou and big.

This card is also for a few more challenges!

Stamping In Time: On Assignment Challenge (SNTODBD22)! CTD! and MORE!

Welcome to Our Daily Bread Designs Stamping In Time: On Assignment Challenge (SNTODBD22)!  The assignment is Our Daily Bread Design stamps. Lori Ulrich is our challenge host.  Thanks so much Lori for hosting with us.  It is the time here in the states where many people are starting to break out their winter clothing and warm furnishings to prepare for cooler temperatures. Lori is challenging us to think QUILTS. You can create quilted patterns with designer paper, use actual fabrics, create dimension with puff paints, foam dots, or other medium, or even add some stitches real or faux in a variety of frames or patterns. You can also think applique. The main thing is to think QUILTS. If it is used in the designing of a quilt, it works. We looking forward to seeing what you create using Our Daily Bread Design stamps!

For my card I am using ODBD Luke 2:11 and Sing for Joy stamp sets.   I am using the colors from Color Throwdown 118.   I used the Tim Holtz flourished die cut to cut out several white flourishes.  I then adhered to the cherry cobbler cardstock to the white cardstock background and sewing machined stitched around the edge.  I ran through a Sizzix embossing folder. The idea is to give a more "quilt-like" effect since the impression would be softer with two cardstocks instead of one running through at the same time.    I stamped out my sentiment.  I used the pine needles and pinecone image image from the Sing for Joy set.  I did use a bit of green here.   I used my Spellbinder's lacey squares to cut out and decided to put it on a corner placement since I was trying for an applique center medallion type of quilt.  I added my kraft and white horizontal panel and added the black and ivory(to have more kraft) gingham ribbon to the card.  I finished with the bow, a button, and one white halfback pearl.   I chose not to add any more embellishments.  I like the country simplicity of this card.

My card is also for a few more challenges!
FairyTale Challenge:  Anything Goes!
Crafty Creations:  Buttons
Delightful Challenges:  Stitching

Crafty Cardmakers:  Stitching
Crazy 4 Challenges: Square Cards
ABC Challenge:  H is for Christmas HOLIDAY!

Check out what some of the other designers created with the "think quilt" theme!

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge(FTTC92), CC296, and MORE!

It is time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge (FTTC92)! This week Barbara Anders is the challenge host! Barbara is challenging us to use glitter! You can use actual glitter, glittered cardstock, or items ready made with glitter! So, give your cards or projects just a touch of glitter or go all out with some sparkle! We would love to see what you create!

I am using Flourishes All That Glitters and Christmas Classics stamp sets!   I have been wanting to get me an all white artificial Christmas Tree to put into another room of the house at Christmastime just for fun.   I want to decorate it with some red and blue Christmas ornaments in various sizes.  When Barbara's challenge included glitter and  SCS CC269 colors are poppy, turquoise, and white, I was already thinking Christmas!   However, when I purchased from Mike's the Christmas Tree mini scrapbook shapes in the dollar bin, I just knew a glittery white Christmas Tree Tag was in the making.  I purchased some very glittery cardstock.  I traced the tree because the lines are all straight and it was pretty easy to cut out.  I adhered the glittery cardstock to the Christmas Tree tag.  I stamped several of the round ornaments that come in this set onto Flourishes Classic White Cardstock using Memento tuxedo black ink.  I colored with Flourishes Copic Color Collection.  I cut out and used thicker pop dots on the larger circle ornaments and thinner dimensionals on the smaller ornaments to create varying dimension.  I then went sort of wild with my silver cording and silver beading.  My tree topper was made with a combination of silver cording and May Arts Curling Sparkly Ribbon.

My tag also complies with a few other blog challenges!
Anything Goes:  Letter B (all my bows)!
Simon Says Challenge:  All White except image to color!
Little Red Wagon:  Use some RED!
Charisma Cardz Challenge:  With Love @ Christmas!
Pattie's Creations Design:  Christmas Card!
CYDA Challenge:  All White except image and embellies!
Paper Play Challenges:  Circles!

Be sure to check out the blog team designers to see what they created with the glitter challenge!
