Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge(FTTC111)! Birthday Blog Candy!

Happy Tuesday! It is time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge(FTTC111)!   I am the challenge host this week and I have a fun challenge for you to try this week. I am challenging you to use the some of the other stamps in you stamp sets. I am sure many of you have purchased stamps for one main image in the set, but some of the other images in the set have not seen ink yet. So, see if you can ink up some other stuff in in the set.  We would love to see what you create!

For my card I am using Flourishes A Year in Flowers 1, A Year of Flowers 2, A Year in Flowers 3,  and Life Lines for the  center sentiment quote. I inked every flower in all three sets and used all the little flower name/month words to create my card.  I stamped my image using Flourishes Classic Ivory cardstock.  I colored the flowers using Flourishes Copic Color Collections.  I finished my card with some black/white gingham ribbon, a clear starburst, and clear rhinestones accenting.

Check out the other blog team designers to see what they created with other stamps in a set!

Stamptacular Sunday Challenge, Viva La Verve, and MORE!

Happy Sunday!  It is time for Stamptacular Sunday Challenge!  This week we are celebrating "No Kids Allowed" Birthday cards.   Check out the link to see the other dt samples and find out how to play along with us. This week ends my six month rotation designing with Stamptacular Sunday Challenges.  It has been a blast and so wonderful to be able to design with women all over the world.  I am always inspired and in awe how something as simple as paper crafting can bring the whole world together!   While language is a barrier in most instances when working on a global scale,  I must give a shout out for blogging and translate options that allows us all to communicate with each other.  I also want to give a wonderful Thank You to Priscilla who runs the SSC and has organizational skills that are over the top!   Thank you so much Cill for this opportunity!  Keeping you in my prayers!   {{Hugs}}  and Blessings!

For my card I am using Viva La Verve sketch week 5.  Sankari is the host this week.  I thought this was a great sketch to incorporate some fun patterns and colors of dp that I have had for a bit and not used with MME Alphabet Soup Girl dp.  I am using Verve's Abundant Blessings, Beautiful You, and Sweet Treats stamp sets.  I also use the embossed oval die for my  the You Rock sentiment.  Had to throw that cool sentiment in there for some pizzazz.    I love making this die cut a little tag, too.  It is the perfect size.  Just punch a hole and tie it on.  My dd has asked me for several Birthday Cards for her friends.  Sometimes I am not sure if it is for a guy or a girl.  I am thinking this one is a bit girly, though.  I like changing up the standard Birthday sentiment for a quote at times.   For the rest of the card, I chose to go with some black contrast regular and zig zag stitching.   I stamped the flowers in Memento tuxedo black ink and colored with copics.  I added some glitter around the petals for fun and topped the main one off with a silver pearl.  I added my sentiment that speaks of music to coordinate with my musical score dp.  I let my bow and tag represent the double circle detailing on the sketch.

As always, thanks so much for stopping by!

I am also playing along in a few other challenges.

ODBD Stamping In Time Challenge(SNTODBD31), and MORE!

Welcome to Our Daily Bread Designs Stamping In Time: On Assignment Challenge(SNTODBD31)! The assignment is Our Daily Bread Design stamps.  The challenge this rotation is all about "NEW to You"!  We are using NEW to You" as our theme.  This  means you can try out a technique or product that is NEW to you.  You can use something new like your ODBD stamps, papers, embellishments that you may have had and not used yet or just got in the mail.    Or, you received something in the mail from a friend that is NEW to you and you want to use it!  This rotation is all about adding something "NEW to You" to your card!    We look forward to seeing what you create using ODBD stamps!

For my card, I am using ODBD 1 Corinthians stamp set.  I am doing a pennant look for the first time, so the look is "New to Me."   I have used a pennant as a tag, but not across my card.  I decided to use the hearts to create the look of a pennant style.  I am also using a new rose I got from a blog win(Little Claire's Challenge), some new triple pearls and pearl strand that I purchased.   I stamped the single scripture using Memento tuxedo black.  I sponged the edges with camomille ink.  The background ripe avocado is sponged in like ink, paper pierced, and distressed.  I layered with a plum polka dotted panel that I stitched with a sewing machine.  I die cut the smallest of the nested hearts spellbinder dies.  I added glitter on the embossed portions of the heart and strung along on my strands of cream pearls to create a pennant banner look!  I finished with cream pearl/seam binding bow, triple pearl stick pin, and a prima ivory flower.

Check out the other ODBD Designers to see what they created!

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge FTTC110 and MORE!

Happy Tuesday!  It is time for a Flourishes FTTC110 Challenge!  This week Maki is the host!  She is challenging us to masking!  We look forward to seeing what you create!
My colors are for SCS Color Combo Challenge CC315!  We are using So Saffron, Pear Pizzazz, and Regal Rose!

For my card I am using the newly release  Lenten Rose and Spring Is Sprung stamp sets.  I stamped my images using Flourishes Classic White cardstock with Memento tuxedo black.  I colored with Flourishes Copic Color Collections.  I added some sparkle with my glue pen.  The picture to the left showe a bit more of the sparkle detailing. I finished with a resin rose and some dyed seam binding.  My masking was done on the Flourishes Classic Ivory cardstock with the En Francaise background.  I masked an edge border and stamp the script in regal rose in the center.    I removed the border mask to reveal an all ivory edge.  I decided to add a bit of Cosmo Cricket green gingham dp which cover up some of my masking, but it is still there.  The picture to the right shows the mask detailing as well as the touches of glitter I added to my butterfly!

Make sure you check out the other blog team designers to see what they created with butterflies!

Stamptacular Sunday Challenge, ODBD, and More!

Happy Sunday!  It is time for Stamptacular Sunday Challenge! This week's challenge is to let the sentiment/poem/verse/words are the main image and focus of the card!  Check out the link to find out how to play along with us!
For my card I am using one of ODBD newly released 3rd Anniversary Scripture Collection sets.  This scriptures comes from Collection 5.  I am also using one of the Fancy Frames images designed by our very own Dawn Lusk to coordinate with the Spellbinder's Label 17! Beautiful frame detailing!

I combined this frame with some Webster's Pages dp.  The frame image actually has an inside dotted border, but I used that to help me line up my tiny pearl frame.  Love that!  I used the stamp a ma jig to line my scripture in the oval space.  I went with soft colors and detailing on this card.  I did find this beautiful rose that I just had to use.  I may have to hand deliver this card, though.  The rose is a bit big!  Also using the clear butterfly to comply with ODBD Stamping In Time Challenge to use clear, crystal, glass, etc.  It is also for ODBD Shining the Light Challenge to represent New Life.  I think the rose and butterfly represent those.

As always, thanks so much for stopping by!

I have also entered my card in a few other blog challenges:
Belli Challenge:  Letter "C"  (clear pink butterfly, coiled wire)
Creative Cottage: Spring Has Sprung (flower, butterfly)

I hope you join us on this special hop as there is Verve blog candy to be won!  To find out all the details head over to Sarah's blog.

For my card I am using Verve's Blue Skies and Happiness Found stamp sets.  I love this sentiment and thought it would work great for a Happy Birthday card, too.  I used the flourished image from the Blue Skies set to create some frame detailing for the sentiment area to play off of the designer paper design.  I stamped the image and rocked and rolled in various combinations of ripe avocado with adirondack pool or memento lady bug red.  I love how it looked.  I distressed the edges a bit to give some subtle texture! Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge(FTTC109), SCS CC315, and MORE!

Happy Tuesday, everyone!  It is time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge(FTTC109)!  Silke is our challenge host.  Silke is challenging us to use butterflies on our cards.  Easy peasy and fun to boot!  I am using the colors from SCS CC314 Challenge!  Baja Breeze, Soft Suede, and Crumb Cake!

I chose to go vintage collage shabby chic with my card today. I  created a faux cameo postage stamp. The butterfly covers it up in this photo a bit, so I have a close up picture to the right.  My big bow covers up the Post Card written across the top of the bundled postcards look.  For my card I combined several Flourishes sets to get the stack of post card design and background detailing.  I am using Flourishes From the Desk Of, Antique Map, Kids Play, Vintage Postcard, and Falling Leaves(sentiment) stamp sets.
For the challenge, I stamped the Antique Map and En Francaise onto cardstock and punched.  I added glue and glitter.  I love how the image detail comes through the glittered butterfly.

For the faux cameo postage stamp look, I took the little girl image from Kids Play set and masked off the head area.  I stamped using vintage cream ink directly to cardstock and let dry. I cut out using the smallest oval from my Spellbinder's beaded oval nestabilities.  I usually bypass some of the smaller pieces so it was fun to see what shape they made.  I added glossy accents and let dry. I also used the smallest rectangle from my petite rectangle nestabilities to give me the look of a postage stamp.  I think the look is very close since the scallops are so close together.  Love the finished look.

Stamptacular Sunday Challenge, MFTWSC10, Dizzy Rosette, and MORE!

Happy Sunday!  It is time for a Stamptacular Sunday Challenge!  This week we have a fun sketch.  Our sponsor is MFT Stamps, too!  Check out the link and find out how to play.   There is a MFT gift certificate up for grabs!  How cool is that?

I finally got my first Pure Innocence set!  WooHoo!  I decided on the Out on a Limb set because it not only had this adorable PI girly but also a tree and lots of sentiments!  I have two cards.  One for the sketch and one just because I wanted to play.

For my top card I am using the MFT PI Out on a Limb set and showcasing the PI girly.   I hardly have any people images.  I thought it was fun learning to color.   I tried to comply with the colors from CR84FN19  to use grays, blues, and aquas.   I  paper pieced her a dress in a coordinating print, but the color of the paper make her look a bit homey.  LOL!  I decided with these muted hues that she need a pop of color.  The color challenge mentions that the dominant colors need to be in these hues so I hope I am still safe with a splash of coral.

This card is one I made for the WSCMFT10 weekly MFT sketch challenge at the SCS MFT forum.   This card showcases the little tree and birdie that comes in the same PI set.  I also tried experimenting around with my dienamics dizzy border die.  I really love the delicate look this die has when it is just cut out.  However, the more I looked at it the more I thought it would look even more delicate as a medallion.  I had to play around with how this would best work.  I am thinking if I had the MFT rosette die cut that it would have been easier.   I do not have that  border die so I used my score pal instead.

How I did it:  Dizzy Rosette is what I call it!   I cut a strip of paper that was about 6 inches long and 1.5 wide.  I scored at half inch marks down long side.  I then placed my dizzy border die namics across top and cut out.  I removed all excess scraps and used the prescored marks to fold my very delicate border.  I did this twice and placed on a 3/4" circle punch with glue.  I then mounted another circle for the top and pressed lightly.  I finished with a button that would cover the area, a flower punch, sentiment strip, and gold pearl.  I love how it looks and must try this again in different colors.  I just love the dainty finish.  Thought I would share!

I am playing in a few other blog challenges.

ODBD Stamping In Time Challenge(SNTODBD30)!

Welcome to Our Daily Bread Designs Stamping In Time: On Assignment Challenge(SNTODBD30)! The assignment is Our Daily Bread Design stamps.  The Stamping in Time Challenge this rotation  is part of  the week long ODBD 3rd Annivesary Celebration going on at the ODBD blog this month!   The challenge this rotation has to do with 3rd anniversary themes!  We are using glass/crystal/clear as our theme.  You can use any technique, product, or embellishment that conveys to you the glass/crystal/clear theme.  Not only does product fit into this theme, but think about scriptures and Christian meanings that may work as well.   We look forward to seeing what you create using ODBD stamps!

For my card, I am using ODBD Friendship, Faith, and Butterfly single with Buttefly die sets for this card.  I am also giving you a sneak peek at a new label set called Fancy Labels that will be released during the Anniversary Celebrations!  It coordinates with the Spellbinder's Label 17!  For the theme, I stamped my butterfly with Memento Tuxedo Black, die cut with the Butterfly die, and colored with copics.  I added Ranger glossy glaze and let dry.  When it was almost dried, I added some glitter.  Another part of my clear/glass look is the sentiment charm.  I used Tim Holtz fragment charms.  I stamped the word Faith using versamark.  I clear embossed.  I then sanded the back.  Love the way this turned out and must try it again! I also thought the word faith on a clear image in clear conveyed how faith is not something seen.  It just is!
