Hello and happy Saturday!  It is a rainy cold day here in NC.  A good day to stamp!  I am sneaking in here with a quick Verve card and to remind you of Verve's Year End Sale going on right now! Plus, there is a chance for even greater savings at check out with gift code!   Got to love a year end sale!

The card I made today uses this week's Mojo Monday 273 Sketch.  I love the simplicity of this sketch.  I decided to break out some Echo Park Yours Truly dp and feel the love.  I am using Verve's Stronger Love, Borderline, and With Love stamp sets.  I also used Verve's Cut Above All Aflutter die.

I really love the size of these sentiment stamps.  They can stand alone on a card with just a few accents.  I finished my card with a seam binding bow topped with a tied button.  I used the same twine for butterfly antenna knotted at the ends.  Cute!

As always thanks so much for stopping by!

PTI December Blog Hop!

I hope everyone had a Wonderful Merry Christmas with family and friends.  My mom made me a pecan pie with no crusts or glutens!  It was delicious.  Funny thing is I really do not miss the crust.   Anyway, I received for Christmas some much wanted stamps and dies that I have had on my wishlist for what seems like forever!

I am sharing a card today for PTI monthly Blog Hop!  This month's is all about white on white.  A tad of color can be used, but the focus should be WHITE!  I LOVE color so this one was quite a challenge.  Even the photography was challenging. It is rainy and stormy here today, so I ended up having to get a picture outside in the screen porch.

I used two techniques I have been enjoying lately.   I love making dimensional backgrounds using die cuts.  Here I used Rosie Posie dies.  While it is a leafy stem, I really think the arrangement lends this element more toward a graphic designed background.   The second technique I used here is  creating a background using a portion of a stamp.  I inked up on the polka dotted portion of the large frame from the Fabulous Frames set.  It is a solid background with polka dots.  I stamped around the edge and in the middle.  Some overlapping occurred, but I love the effect.  I used sweet blush ink.

I stamped the new Limitless Layers heart frames with one of the frames from With All My Heart.  LOVE this set and dies!  Yippee!  I added a couple of white and soft pink buttons and finished with a white seam binding bow.  Kept it simple and sweet, but I totally feel the LOVE!

As always thanks so much for stopping by!

Truly, Madly, Deeply and MORE!

Happy Wednesday!  I am sneaking in here with a card to share.  Stamps and dies I am supposed to get for Christmas came in the mail and I just had to stamp something before they are wrapped and put under the tree for another two weeks.    Bummers!  Patience and all that!  What?  I had to make sure they worked!  LOL!

Lately, to jump start my mojo, I have bought a few stamps and dies from WPlus 9 Design Studio.  I am really impressed.  I just love their images and dies.  They now have card stock I want to try as well. Anyway, last week they released this adorable little cherub set and die!  LOVE LOVE!  I tell ya!  I just had to ink him up and give him some sparkle!  Check out those adorable little arrows that come in the die set and stamp set.  Sweet!   I also added to my list their new nesting hearts.  Love that broad rim of embossing around the edge.  Great look.  I stamp this heart with the new damask set.  So many beautiful images to choose from it was hard to pick just one from this set.

For this card I am playing along with a few blog challenges.  I am using the color trio from The Paper Players PP125.  The sketch is from Retro Sketches #41.  I am also playing along with the Just Us Girls #166 embossing!

As always thanks so much for stopping by!

Joy and Peace! C4C and MORE!

Happy Saturday, everyone!  It is time for another challenge with the crazies at Crazy 4 Challenges(C4C166).

Cindy is the host for this challenge!

This week's challenge
is to use your favorite holiday stamp!

For my card I am using one of my favorite Christmas stamps from PTI.  I just love this little set that has some stamp Christmas words in it.  I love stamping words in general because they can be used as the focal point, background, or accent on a card.  I combined the word PEACE with some die cuts.  For me this is a CAS styled Christmas card.

I am playing along with PTI Make It Monday Challenge #94.  Detailed Glitter Technique!  I added some glitter to the tiny snowflakes and to the word PEACE.  I am using the sketch from Cardabilities #64.

Quick Tip:  When die cutting glittered card stock, the dies cut through on the first pass if you cut the card stock with glitter side down and die on top of backing.  Thought I would share!

Check out what the rest of the team did with this week's challenge!

For my card,  I am using ODBD Scripture Collection 7 stamp set.  First of all, I chose just one of the Scripture Collection sets.  ODBD has 9 Scripture Collection sets
which are a compilation of design team member's favorite scriptures. ODBD also has 3 Scripture Series stamp sets which are customer's favorite scriptures.  I love the scripture sets because nothing says it like a scripture.  Sometimes that with a bow and a flower are all you need to create a card to uplift and encourage someone.

PTI November Blog Hop!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday weekend! We had family in from Atlanta.  I cooked for 19 people on Thursday!  Whew!  Fun times, but I was exhausted!   While I am not one to Black Friday shop, I did enjoy the luxury of some online deals and shopping while sitting in the comfort of my on home on Friday.  It has been a very busy few days.  Anyway, I decided to take a few moments to make a card for PTI monthly Blog Hop before I start decorating my Christmas tree!

This month's challenge is Cover Art.  I chose this book cover from the selection as my inspiration piece.

Once I saw all the colors in this cover I knew I had to recreate the bold color layout and PTI harlequin cover plate die and matching harlequin stamps would give me the look I wanted for this cover.

I started with thing big favorites #5.  I stamped the Thank You in new leaf ink.  I then found a sentiment from Masculine Motifs set that worked perfectly stamped in red beneath title in keeping with cover layout.  To keep the colors bold, I stamped on colored card stock.  I used poppy, hawaiian shores, harvest gold, and new leaf.  I varied stamping either in like colors on some card stocks or mixing it up and stamping hawaiian on new leaf, or poppy on harvest gold.  Once the harlequin die template was removed it was the perfect amount of white space left.  Love it!

I finished my card with a kraft base.  It just seemed to make the front of the card pop even more.

As always thanks so much for hopping by!

I need a few more Christmas cards so here goes another one checked off the list!  Woo Hoo!   I am using the sketch from Fab Friday Sketches!  I am using some stamps from WPlus9 and PTI.  I created a CAS style card in keeping with the look of the sketch.  I wanted to use teal and the color combo just sort of took off from there.

Next on the hop is  Julie's blog.  Enjoy!  Thanks so much for stopping by!

This week's challenge is all about a BIG BOWMake a creation with a BOW and you are good to go!

For my card, I am using some PTI stamps and dies.   I stamped the background and used bits and pieces of sentiments to create this larger one.  I am also playing along with Papertrey's weekly Make it Monday Challenge this week which is to layer vellum.   I layered the stars and also layered vellum behind the blessed die cut to create a subtle shadow effect. I am using Retro Sketch #38.  I did add a big bow!
