I have four cards to share today. I will start with the one I posted yesterday on Instagram.
I started with indigo card stock. I used the new Shimmer Heart Wafer die. I separated the two pieces of the die with my wire snips. I die cut the stitched outline heart. I stamped the Good Reading background stamp using versamark ink. I splatter Copic white mixed with water all over. I added foam tape to the back of this panel and added it to the floral die cut panel that I backed with white card stock.
I love the look of texture the background and white splatter combination creates. I white embossed the sentiment using the Hello Darling stamp set. I added raised panel to a top folding indigo card base. I added tiny silver pearls to the centers of each flower.
For my second card, I am using Lifting Hearts set. I stamped the adorable bunny with balloons image and colored with Copic Markers. I added shimmer pen to the balloons, the bunny tail, and to the bunny's nose.
I did add just a touch of glossy accents to his nose, too. I white embossed the sentiment from the same set. I finished the card with a few clear sequins.
For my third card, I used the new Peony Bouquet stencil. I started with Strathmore watercolor paper.
I used foam sponges and sponge daubers to ink up my stencil. I added dark brown ink splatters as well as gold splatters.
The sentiment comes from Sketched Flowers. I used Simon Antique gold embossing powder. I finished the card with a few clear sequins.
My last card today showcases the new Like You die. I combined it with the Snowflake Builder stamp set.
I used a medium gray card stock. I stamped the snowflakes in dark gray and topped with white pigment ink. I let it dry. It looks like some of the gray absorbed into the white pigment giving a soft blue or soft gray cast. I was okay with this look. However, if you prefer the white contrast, it would be better to heat emboss in white.
I sponged versamark ink around the edges for added depth. This needs to be done after the white pigment ink is completely dried to prevent smudging.
When die cutting the new Like You die, I layered two white card stock shadow dies with two white card stock top die cut words for added dimension. I used some clear gems added to the center of the snowflakes and a few scattered around to finish my card.
I hope you enjoyed the cards I created today. Which one is your favorite and why?
As always thanks so much for hopping by!
