November Diva Inspirations Challenge and Blog Hop!






It's time for the Verve Divas to bring you our monthly Diva Inspirations Challenge and Blog Hop! There are two ways to win Verve prizes: comment on the design team's blog hop posts (linked below) to see their take on the inspiration, then go get inky and link up your take on the challenge to be eligible in our prize drawings! You have until December 5 to link up, so feel free to play as often as you like.


Our November challenge is Rustic Winter 
 
The days are turning cold and the splendor of fall is changing to the magesticly rustic beauty of a winter woodland. This month we're challenging you to bring a little bit of that rustic winter to your creations. Follow the graphic or head off on your own trail, just show us your rustic winter creations!

For my card, I started with some Pebbles Walnut Grove pattern paper pad.  I combined some die cut patterns using Verve's Rounded Scalloped Frame die.  I stamped the distressed dotted image from Better Together stamping off a vintage ink for a subtle rustic distressed look.

 
  For the scripture sentiment, I used 2 Corinthians 12:9 Plain Jane.  I die cut this panel using Verve's Rounded Rectangle die.  Next, I die cut and stamped the deer using Verve's Unto Us stamp set and Reindeer Fun die set.   I finished my card with a tag using Verve's Faith Medley stamp set die cut with the oval in Charming Oval die set.

    The woodgrain and raffia... perfect rustic stuff! I appreciate that this card could be given to someone who might be having a hard time during the holidays for whatever reason... it's uplifting and calming. And beautiful.

    What a perfectly charming card, Betty!!! I'm just in love with those darling little deer--they look like they are prancing about with such joy! And although this is a lovely sympathy card, it is also uplifting and makes me smile. Perhaps that is the point! :) Your inspiration is always so beautiful and thank you for sharing another gorgeous example of it!!! :D
