Ask, Seek, Knock!

This is for today's Ways to Use it Challenge(WT223). Thanks, Julia for a fun challenge. We were to use text on our card. I LOVE some text especially when it is distressed, torn, curled, or sponged in some way. A vintage feel if you will.
I am using ODBD newly released set Ask, Seek, Knock. This set has a wonderful old world looking door. Since the basic function of a door is to open and to close, I just had to make at least one card with the door swinging open.
I am using Stampin Ups new IN Colors 09/10 for this card. I love the rich razzleberry. I sponged the text background (SU retired love by definition) using soft suede ink. I love how the soft suede gives a burnt edge sort of feel to the vintage cream cardstock. I am still on the fence about whether or not I like the crushed curry. I sponged the curry with some ranger antique linen ink to tone down the hue a bit. This color is perfect for that.
I distressed the edges of the text layer with the ranger distressing tool. I sponged the rich razzleberry cardstock with ODBD bordeaux ink pad. It is a very close match to the rich razzleberry. Love that. I colored my door using copic markers.
Here is what is behind the door!!! It is a fabulous scripture that is included in this set. I stamped it using ODBD bordeaux ink pad. Love this font and how the key words are enlarged and in all caps.
I challenge myself to make a 4.5 square card which is a lot smaller than my normal cards. I love how this is vintage, yet the layout and design is pretty simple....not a lot of stuff so to speak which is the norm for vintage. I finished with some jumbo brads.
