Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge(FTTC62) and SCS CC266!

It is time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge(FTTC62)! This week Dee Jackson is our challenge host! Dee is shaking things up a bit! Or, better yet, she is challenging us to shake things up! We are making shaker cards. Now, you can have a big shake or a little shake. You decide if your shaker is the focal point or the accent! We would love to see what you create! So, go get busy and "shake it" with us this week! Here is a wonderful shaker card tutorial at SCS by Beate Johns to get you going!

Today's card is for toay's SCS Color Combo Challenge(CC266) with dessert option! I kept my card relatively simple and non fussy this week. I love these colors together if I do say so myself! LOL!

I am using Flourishes Spring Ephemerals and Strawberries stamp sets.  I think this is my first ever homemade shaker card!  I have bought premade shakers, but I do not think I have ever made one!  It was quite fun once I had the general idea down.  I must say I followed Beate's SCS tutorial, too.

I am using Flourishes Classic Ivory cardstock.  I stamped the bleeding hearts onto a 4 X 4 square ivory cardstock using sweet blush.  I rocked and rolled Ranger fire brick.  I cut another piece of  4X4 cardstock and die cut the inverted scallop circle from the center.  I embossed with a SU texturz plate.  I backed with Flourishes clear cardstock cut in a 4 X 4 square.  I added foam tape to the perimeter on the back of the acetate.  I left a section open to pour my punch outs from the MS lace heart border punch.  I sealed with another piece of foam tape and my shaker portion was complete.  I finished my card with Webster's Pages dp and pearls from the pretties kit, buttons, and satin bow!  I really love how it turned out!  Must do the shaker thing more often!

Please check out what the other blog team designers created with the "skake it" challenge!

  3. You really rocked these colors and came up with a beautiful creation! I'll have to admit I struggled with mine and feel like I need to go back to the drawing board. Since it's 1:30 a.m. I'll opt on going to bed instead! :-)
