Now on to my project details! The power in the area went out last night. It was not storming so it must have been caused by something else. It was out for quite awhile. Anyway, I was literally working on this card in the dark. I did intend for it to look shabby chic. I am using the Not Forgotten set along with the Large Scrapbook Words. I inked up the image in the Not Forgotten set with Ranger Walnut Stain. I stamped off so the image would be worn and more subtle. I tore the edges and inked distressed. The angle panel behind the images was created by laying all of the sentiments in the Not Forgotten set onto my acrylic block and creating my own word background stamp. I stamped using more Walnut stain ink. I tore out a section and tucked behind the image. I then stamped one of the scriptures for my focal point and used pinking sheers for an added detail on either side. I added some rope, rustic ruffle lace, seam binding, and a cross charm along with buttons to finish my rustic shabby chic look.
As always, thanks so much for stopping by! Enjoy the hop! Now I will send you to the next stop! Dawn's Blog!
