ODBD For the Love of Vintage!

Welcome to Our Daily Bread Design's Alumni feature of For the Love of Vintage.  This month the Alumni team will be sharing creations made with sets that focus on Vintage sets  While we are including the cards and sets used by the designers for their creations, I know the designers would appreciate if you would click on the links below to leave them a little love as well.

For my card I am using Our Daily Bread Designs, Vintage Border Background, Antique Label Designs, and Flourished Verses stamp sets.  I decided to keep it simple.  I could have focused more on a more vintage look with these vintage stamps, but I thought using vintage stamps for a less vintage look is possible with these stamps as well.

I am using the sketch from this week's JUGS Sketch Challenge #191.

As always thanks so much for stopping by!

For my card I am using Cross of  Christ stamp set. I combined some of my Stampin Up In color patterned papers for this card.  So far I have not purchased any new designer papers this whole year.  I am trying to use more of what I already own.  Sort of a fun challenge for myself.   I added some stitching and layered inked distressed corrugated cardboard.  I decided to use one of my older spellbinder frames that I have not used in awhile.  I stamped the largest Cross in the set with Memento Cocoa ink.  I ink distressed the edges.    I finished with some tiny gold pearls, seam binding bow, and pearl button.

Welcome to Our Daily Bread Design's Alumni Team's bi-monthly For the Love Blog Hop.  This week's hop is special since Our Daily Bread Designs is celebrating it's fifth year anniversary.  One of the gifts for a fifth year anniversary is wood. For my card I am using ODBD As You Graduate for the focal image.  I stamped the background in a soft aqua color.  I stamped the sentiment using Memento tuxedo black.   I decided to add a little bit of flair using the ODBD Blessed Christmas set set(yes...Christmas in March and without a Christmas theme) along with the ODBD custom Poinsettia die. As you see I only used the curly cue leaves and vines on the edges of the poinsettia to tuck under the frame.  Love using stamps and dies in different ways.  I stamped, die cut, and added some glitter.  Next, I decided to add a butterfly. I chose the butterfly single image. I stamped in Memento ink, die cut with the ODBD custom butterfly die.  I colored with copics and added some glitter.   I finished the card with a seam binding bow in soft green with a glittered button.

I just wanted to say it was by the Grace of God that this post happened at all.  A couple of weeks ago I could not go live for the Love Hop due to router issues. Wednesday,  my lap top crashed!  Last weekend my camera refused to keep a charge.    I took this picture with my phone camera.   I apologize for the quality as I had to use my son's laptop for editing.  Again, I thank God for helping me with this post!  I truly hope it is a Blessing to someone!  I kept repeating the scripture!

For my card I am using ODBD Be Joyful stamp set along with the January released Antique Label Designs and Antique Labels & Border dies.  I stamped the larger floral image from Be Joyful using Memento tuxedo black ink.  I colored with copic markers and some spectrum noir markers.   I stamped one of the sentiments on the same panel as the image.   Then, I stamped the sentiment from Be Joyful and the Antique Label Design frame.  I die cut the framed sentiment and popped it up a bit.  I finished with some gold pearls and seam binding bow.

For my card I am using ODBD Flourished Verses and Little Girls  stamp sets.

I stamped the little girls solid image for the focal point of my card using Memento tuxedo black ink.  I love solid image stamps because they are quick and easy, but the impact is bold and beautiful.   I added a few heart die cuts in assorted textures and finished with the sentiment tag from Flourished Verses topped off with a seam binding bow.

I stamped the Love Is.....scripture then lightly stamped in Memento pink the entwined hearts from the Love One Another sets.  I stamped the same entwined hearts using Memento rhubarb onto the cherry cobbler to create tonal background paper.  I am using Glitz Cashmere Dame designer papers. I finished my card with a soft pink seam binding bow topped with ruby paper flower and a few silver pearls.

For my card,  I am using ODBD Scripture Collection 7 stamp set.  First of all, I chose just one of the Scripture Collection sets.  ODBD has 9 Scripture Collection sets
which are a compilation of design team member's favorite scriptures. ODBD also has 3 Scripture Series stamp sets which are customer's favorite scriptures.  I love the scripture sets because nothing says it like a scripture.  Sometimes that with a bow and a flower are all you need to create a card to uplift and encourage someone.

I made a gift box  full of ODBD stamps. I thought this was a great way to give the gift of ODBD stamps for Christmas.  For this package, I am using ODBD Worship the Lord stamp set.

I designed the base of the box which measures 4 inches high and 5 inches wide.   I ink distressed all visible edges.  I covered the backs and sides with designer papers.  I cut out a half circle in front.   For the flap, I used a 5 inch wide piece of card stock. I scored this panel at the 5 inch and 6 inch mark.  I cut off 1.5 inches in the front and used the Spellbinder's Grand Circle Scallops to create a scallop lid and a scalloped back.  The back was attached and the top was fold over and around the top.  I added a piece of designer paper to the top portion of the front.  I finished with a piece of ribbon with layered die cut sentiment, and gold pearls.  This gift package can house up to 4 ODBD stamp sets!  Got to love that!
