October Diva Inspirations Challenge and Blog Hop!




It's time for the Verve Divas to bring you our monthly Diva Inspirations Challenge and Blog Hop! There are two ways to win Verve prizes: comment on the design team's blog hop posts (linked below) to see their take on the inspiration, then go get inky and link up your take on the challenge to be eligible in our prize drawings! You have the until November 5 to link up, so feel free to play as often as you like.


Our October challenge is Black, White and Glam
 

October always has a bit of glamour and intrigue to it. A stroll through the craft store this time of year brings visions of glitzy pumpkins, gilded candelabras and rhinestones galore. So this month we’re challenging you to to get glamorous with black, white and metallics. Use the inspiration graphic or go off on your own tangent, just share a little bit of glam with us!




 For my card I am using Verve's New Mercies and Beautiful Plain Jane stamps.  I used a printed linen framed paper.  I stamped the sentiment twice in the center using the MISTI.  Next, I masked the corners and stamped the leafy image from Verve's New Mercies inside several times using the MISTI for better coverage.  I finished with a few of the tiny gold stars from Verve's Golden Glam Shaker Mix.

    So beautiful! I love how the sentiment stands out on this card and the added detail with the little stars. My eyes were also drawn to the offset frame lines--such a stunning touch around the image and sentiment.

    Ooooooh...I really love your card!! Beautifully framed sentiment with the leaves stamp. LOVE the two-lined frame around the outside... I wondered if that was a stamp or you just drew them in that perfectly!!

    At one time it would have been a cardinal sin to send a black and white card.
    So glad that the pendulum has swung around so they are acceptable.
    Black and white makes an elegant card for any occasion.
