Happy Wednesday! I have a card to share today using the new inspiration from The Card Concept Challenge.
We have a new photo inspiration challenge starting today at The Card Concept! This one is all about Beautiful Butterflies! Hope you can join us and play along.
I was inspired by the textures, colors, and butterflies. I created a vintage inspired card. I used textures, warm tones, sponging, and embossing to create my card.
I started with some Autumn Rose card stock. I sponged autumn rose, scarlet jewel, and true black ink around the edges. I blended by sponging some versamark ink over. I embossed the card stock using Tim Holtz Kaleidescope Texture Fades Embossing Folder. I inked the edges fading into the middle of the card stock again using the same colors of inks listed above. I added foam tape to the back and adhered it to a top folding Autumn Rose card stock base.
For the butterfly, I started with some select white card stock. I stamped the white panel with MFT Romantic Script background using versamark and heat embossed with gold embossing powder. I used a retired MFT layered butterfly die set from my stash. I added gold pearls to the center of my butterfly.
For the sentiment, I used Simon Says Stamps Tiny Words stamp set. I stamped the sentiment using Scarlet Jewel ink. I die cut the sentiment using Honey Bee Stamps Sentiment Banners. I finished my card with a few clear sequins.
Here is a list of many of the products I generally
use every time I make a card.
As always thanks so much for stopping by!
I love this card! The background has such depth and dies remind me of a kaleidoscope. Can you share more about how you made it. You mentioned after blending ink that you added VersaMark and then embossed. Did you heat emboss or use the folder again? It really is lovely and jumps off the screen! Thanks for sharing! ❤️
