Now for my project details:
For my top card, I am using the newly released set called Time. I am calling this card my Mantle Clock card. I thought it was appropriate since we often put cards on our mantle. I tried to create a small clock style card. I used my Spellbinder's Grand Calibur along with a couple of Grand dies. I used my Grand Creative Book Pages dies to create most of my mantle card. I combined those with the Grand circles and the standard circle regular and petite scalloped dies. All the pieces were embossed with textured and then clear heat embossed to create some shine and richness. Prior to clear embossing the all of the pieces, the background pieces were slightly stamped with versamark and I sprinkled some gold embossing powder over and heat set. I call this two-tone heat embossing. You can see the varigated heat embossing in spots and almost makes the cardstock look like wood tones. I finished with some gold pearls and a goldtoned cross. I think this could make a fun manly card as well as a great mantle display.
I also wanted to show you that Kelley is releasing several single stamp sets this month. The singles are part of the Full of Grace Collection or Blessings Collection. I combined a few of the singles that fit perfectly onto a previous released Tag die. The die is great to stamp several of the scriptures and images to give as mini bookmarks or to create your own little scripture tag collection. You can see that the images to many of today's sets were used as well. I love the little lace border from the Serve the Lord set.
Also, the bottom right tag in the picture to the right was stamped with the Each Minute single stamp. I cut out the tag and flip it around so that the tag was back in the die cut upsidedown and then cut off the topped scalloped tag portion. This gives me a quick rounded corner trading card size. Just thought I would share that quick tip!
