Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge(FTTC106), SCS CC311, TSTR, and MORE!

It is time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge!   This week Tammy Hershberger is our challenge host! We are making "Birthday" cards!  Fun and Easy!  So, play along with us!  We would love to see your Birthday cards!

For my card I am using Flourishes Cherry Blossom and Kids Play stamp sets.  I stamped my image onto Flourishes Classic Ivory cardstock and used Memento tuxedo black.  I colored with Flourishes Copic Color Collection.  I used various patterns and spellbinders to create the finished look.  I am using the colors from SCS Color Combo(CC311) Always Perfect Roses!

I created the mini pom pom flower/accent. I purchased some all white mini pom pom fringe and dyed it with coffee.  I just love this rich aged mocha patina I got just from letting it soak.   I cut a piece and spiral rolled it to create a little mini pom pom flower/accent for my dyed seam binding.  I love the way it looks and think it is different and unexpected.

Make sure to check out the other blog team designers to see their Birthday card creations!

Happy Sunday, everyone!  It is time for Stamptacular Sunday Challenge!  The challenge this wee is "S.O.S."  We are making cards for "someone special."  Check out the link and play along with us!

For my card I am using ODBD The Lord Has Risen and Cross of Christ stamp sets.  I decided to play again with ODBD Stamping In Time Challenge.  The challenge is "Distress Call."   I stamped the flower image and colored with copics.  I colored and cut out and adhered with some foam dimensionals.  I added some clear, blue, and green glitter for a wee bit of sparke accenting.  I finished the flowers with some gold pearls.  I layered SU vintage springtime paper collection and chose to color my flowers to coordinate with the paper.  I added some lace, ribbon, two different stitches with sewing machine, decorative pin accents, and a sentiment tag tied with twine.  I love how the card turned out.  I distressed all the edges with some distressing ink in camomile.

I am using the colors from the Color Throwdown and the sketch from SFYTT(February2011)!  I am also playing in a few other blog challenges!  Charisma Cardz:  Spring, Dutch Dare:  glitter, ABC Challenge:  "O" is for ocean blue,  Creative Cottage:  fabulous florals,  The Pixie Cottage:  Embossing (folder), AllSorts:  Inspired by Nature, Crazy4Challenges(C4C75):  diecuts

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge(FTTC105), SCS CC310, and MORE!

It is time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge(FTTC105)! I am the challenge host this week.  I am challenging you to patterns. This week we are adding not one, not two, but three pattern papers to our cards. The patterns can be bold and dramatic or soft and mellow! Your choice! Love to see what you create!

For my card I am using the newly released Hello Hyacinth! This set is absolutely gorgeous and has two beautiful hyacinth arrangements. I also fell in love with all the fabulous sentiments. Did you know that March 7th is World Hyacinth Day?  Hey, the big day is just around the corner!  This set is still available with the monthly release bundle pricing, too!

I chose this beautiful vase design to color for my card today. I think the image is just gorgeous!  I am using the trio of colors from SCS CC310 Wild Saffron Points!   I stamped the image using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I am using Flourishes Classic White cardstock. I colored my image using Flourishes Copic Color Collections. I finished with some pearl swirls and a polka dotted sheer bow.  Just in case you are wondering, my three patterned papers are all the same colors.  I am using three different patterns of so saffron dp.  The third pattern was used in the tiny butterflies.  I said the patterns could be bold or subtle!

Make sure you check out the other blog team designers to see how they used three patterns!

Gratitude! Viva La Verve, SSC, Color Throwdown, and MORE!

Happy Sunday!  I have two items today!  I am still making some Valentine/Love cards!  I also have a sweet treat to show you, too.  This card is more of a love with a thank you theme.  I guess one can never have too much love of any kind, huh?  Speaking of love!  I am just lovin' some pom pom fringe right now.  I actually love the mini pom poms, but this size made me ga ga too!  I could not waste my two p-poms I had to cut off the ends to wrap around panel and adhere to back,  so I used one to top my pink bow and the other in the center of my heart!  Too cute!

For today's card I am using week 3 of the Viva la Verve February Challenges(VLVFeb2011)!  Teresa Kline designed this week's sketch.  I combined several Verve stamp sets to create the different elements.  I am using Verve's Because of You, Grateful Elegance, Celebration of Thanks, and Beautiful You stamp sets.  I stamped the floral image and stamped one of the flowers from Grateful Elegance.  I colored and added some glitter, cut out the flower and used a dimensional to pop it up a bit.  I then stamped the quote from Beautiful You.  I die cut the Jotted Heart Die  three times.  Once with the coordinating designer paper then with a piece of scrap cardstock to adhere to the back of the desiger paper to make it more sturdier.  Then, I die cut the heart out in vellum. I used my pinking shears to cut across the heart and my glue pen to adhere the vellum to the heart to create a heart pocket.  I used my glue pen to add a few touches of glitter around the edge of the heart and along the pinking edge of the pocket.   I then stamped some of the "thank yous" from the Celebration of Thanks set.  I punched these out with the word window punch and tucked them into my pocket.   I love the way my heart pocket turned out!

The slice of cake to the left is for this weeks Stamptacular Sunday Challenge!  The  theme this week is“LOVIN’ FROM THE OVEN!”  For this weeks challenge you will create a card or project that has something to do with food! You are free to achieve this any way you see fit as long as it has something to do with FOOD someway, somehow!

Check out the link to find out how to play along with us!  There is also a design team call going on now, too!  I must say this was the fastest and easiest projects I think I have ever put together.  For my cake slice, I used one of the Martha Stewart cake box party favors.  Instead of folding with the brown color on the outside, I folded with the white showing.  I glued on some red seam binding around the container to make it look like a layered cake.  I added a bow to the back.   Next, I stamped the Sweet Scallops die image from the Sweet Treats set.  I die cut this out with the Sweet Scallops die.  I then stamped the sweet treats in the center.  I added silver wire to the tag hole and tied it onto my cake container and made curly ques.  I added a few roses in different colors to work with the Color Throwdown #128 colors and my treat was done!  Just a fun easy way to get a quick treat complete!  Well, several Hershey Kisses actually completes this treat.

I am also playing in a few other blog challenges.City Crafters:  All That Glitters Crazy 4 Challenges:  Hearts Fairy Fun Fridays:  Fine Print (heart background dp) Simon Says Stamps: Anything but a card  Try it on Tuesday:  Hearts and Flowers  Let's Ink it Up: Romance/Valentine's Paper Sundaes Choose Your Toppings(flowers, distressing(black swiss dots folder panel was sanded to show white dots), and pink) The Shabby Tea Room Inspiration PIcture (for top card....hearts and flowers....pink bow...and for the lace fringe I chose ivory pom pom fringe...and distressed/sanded polka dot panel), Creative Belli Challenge:  Jewelry (bling and glitz) OSCC:  Love is in the Air!  SSDSC:  Love is in the air, Totally Gorjuss:  Love, Just Add Ink:  Just Add Love, Crafty Cardmakers: HeartS  Crafty Catz:  Valentine/Love,  My Time to Craft Challenge:  hearts and flowers, Delightful Challenges:  Use punches/die cuts, Crafty Purple Frog:  Love/Valentines, Crafty Sentiments: Valentine/ Love, C.R.A.F.T:  Valentine, Stamp Something:  Valentine

Stamping In Time On Assignment Challenge(SNTODBD28)!

Welcome to Our Daily Bread Designs Stamping In Time: On Assignment Challenge(SNTODBD28)! The assignment is Our Daily Bread Design stamps. We have a challenge host this rotation. Please give a warm welcome to Wanda Cullen!  Wanda is challenging us to a theme with a twist. "It's a Distress Call!" You use any distressing techniques such as tearing, sponging, sanding, crumpling, etc., but the twist is to actually mail your card to encourage someone who has some real life distress going on and could use a little encouragement. We look forward to seeing what you create using ODBD stamps! Check out the ODBD blog link to find out how to play along with us!

Here are the samples created by the ODBD designers with the "It's a Distress Call!" challenge. Check out their blog links to see what they wanted they created!

Angie, Sabrina, Fran, and our guest host, Wanda!

For my card I am using ODBD Faith stamp set.   I decided to go a wee bit CAS styled today.  Well, it is definitely CAS for me.  My distressing is mostly sponging and a little bit of rolled paper edges.  I colored the image using copic markers and added a touch of sparkle with a sakura gel pen. The colors are from The Curtain Call Act 68!  Who can pass up these springtime hues?  I used a little doily that I offset off the edge.  I think someone called this look a sidekick before.  I am also using some mini pom pom fringe that I distressed with some PTI camomille using the cube itself and lightly brushing across the pom poms.  This stuff is too cute!  Look, no bow!  Amazing feat for me!

I am also entering my care for a few other blog challenges!

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge(FTTC104), SCS CC309, and MORE!

It is time for Flourishes FTTC104 Challenge! This week Maki Jones is the host. Maki is challenging us to use buttons on our cards or project!  We would love to see what you create!  I am using the colors from SCS Color Combo Challenge CC309!  We are using Not Quite Canjun Daffodils this week.

I am using Flourishes A Guiding Light and Clouds background stamp sets. I stamped the the ship with Memento tuxedo black.  Here I go making another manly card again this week.  My dh birthday is February 12th and Valentine's is February 14th.  So, needs lots of cards!  I am using Flourishes Classic Ivory cardstock I colored with Flourishes Copic Color Collections.  I stamped the ship again on a piece of post it note.  I cut our a mask of the ships sails.  I covered the image and stamped my clouds background with some Ranger Stormy Sky ink.  I cut out and layered with some Spellbinders.  I used some Webster's Pages and a sheet of solid ink distressed dp.  For the solid golden page with rust edging, I embossed and stamped with SU En Francaise bg using Memento's Potters Clay.  I stitched the edges of the background pattern.  I stamped the sentiment with Potters Clay and over stamped with a shore image that is also included in the set using the stormy sky ink.  I finished with a basicgrey enamel brad layered over a blue button.  I love doing this touch as it makes the buttons a tad bit dressier and more vintage to me.  I also added two blue buttons on the top right of the card.  I  finished with some blue dyed distressed seam binding.  The goal was to have more white showing with just touches of the blue.  Love how it turned out.

Make sure you check out the other blog team designers to see how they used buttons!

Where there is Love... SSC, Verve, and MORE!

Happy Sunday!  It is time for Stamptacular Sunday Challenges!  This  theme this week is "Hearts Gone Wild!"  Create a project that is filled with love and hearts!  Smother your card in Love and Hearts!  Check out the link to find out how to play along with us!  There is also a design team call going on now, too!

For today's card I am using week 2 of the Viva la Verve February Challenges(VLVFeb2011)!  Amy Sheffer designed this week's sketch.  I combined several Verve stamp sets to create the different elements to the sketch.  The background rectangle is stamped using one of the scripty smaller sentiment quotes from Text Objects stamp set.  The larger quote in the set is used as the focal point .  I distressed and sponged the edges.  I then layered over that the slightly turned panel.  I stamped this panel using the loose leaf paper stamp from the Blue Skies set.   Instead of stamping it with the holes on the left, I chose to stamp it on its side.  I then used the larger LOVE word stamps from the Text Objects.  I finished with one of the outlined hearts from the Hundred Hearts set.  For the focal image I used the Vintage Oval Die.  I stamped the Vintage Oval frame using Memento rhubarb.  I then stamped the coordinating quote from the Text Objects set.  I faux layered this die cut with the red mirror cardstock by cutting the die shape out again and cutting in half at an angle and adhering with the edges exposed to the back of the main die cut frame.  I used a precut  white MS doily that I sponged heavily with Memento rhubarb. My background is MS red mirror cardstock that I embossed with the cb swiss dot ef.  I really love how this turned out.  The base of my card was punched on both sides with the MS hearts border punch.  I finished with a jotted heart die cut out of rose pink glitter cardstock as well as a few tiny hearts from my MS border punch.

I am also playing in a few other blog challenges.

ODBD February Release Blog Hop!

Welcome to the February release Blog Hop for Our Daily Bread Designs! If you got here from Dina’s Blog, then you are in the right place! If not, you might want to start at the ODBD Blog and hop from there so you don’t miss anyone!

The Hop will run from 8am eastern Feb. 1 until 8pm Feb. 2. Winners will be announced on the ODBD Blog on Feb. 3rd, along with Sandee’s fabulous Time With Project!
Kelley is giving away SIX prizes this month! FIVE people will win one Single Fish Stamp of their choice, and ONE blessed person will win the FEBRUARY BREAD BASKET BUNDLE!
To be eligable to win, here is what you have to do:
•Hop to each blog on the list and leave a comment for each designer
•Return to the ODBD Blog and tell us you completed the hop, letting us know if there were any blogs you could not comment on
•Answer the question on the ODBD blog… you do not need to answer it on the designer’s blogs… just the ODBD blog

For my card I am using ODBD Stone Fish and He Is Risen stamp sets.  I stamped my fish and cut out the crosses to give you a different way to use this particular fish stamp.

I also have a few items to show you for the many of you who teach Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, homeschool, have festivals with fun and games, or a mom to small children.

For my first project using the Stone Fish and the Fish Background, I created a giant spinner.  Spinners can be fun and used for many types of games or even chores.  I used my Spellbinder's Grand Calibur to cut out my Grand Circles and Standard Circles Nestabilities.  The fish is a good size. I layered a couple for weight.  It spins beautifully.

Next, I stamped a bunch of fish and cut them out for Ribbon Fishing.  I am sure many kids would actually enjoy the stamping and cutting out of their own fish for the pond.  All you need is the fish stamp, some ink, tiny brads, ribbon, string, and a magnet.  The longer the ribbon the harder it is to catch the fish.  You can have scriptures listed for looking up on the back of the fish or prizes listed.  Many different ways to use this game. I have included a picture of a caught fish, too.

I have one last game to show you which is great for kids of all ages.  My kids still want me to play this game with them.  This is the memory game.  This one is great for kids learning their colors as well.  The cards are 2 X 4.  The goal is to find the matching pair.  However, with all Three Fish released today you can make the game even more challenging.

As always, thanks so much for hopping by!  Have a Blessed Day!

Now hop on over to the ODBD Blog to answer the question and to let us know that you have been to all of the designer's blogs and commented so you will be entered for a chance to win one of the six prizes!

For my card I am using Verve Love Flower and Bountiful Backgrounds stamp sets.  I am using(VLVFEB2011) week 1 sketch!  I am also using the colors from CRE84FN13.   I combinded some much loved October Afternoon Thrift Store dp.  To continue the patterned look, I chose to use the polka dot image from the Bountiful Backgrounds set stamped off a couple of times for a subtle background with my main Love sentiment.  I inked the love with red and rocked and rolled the brown.    I stitched and sponged my panels.  I added some gold pearls and finished with some dyed to match seam binding and a prima red rose!
