Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge!

It is time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge(FTTC20)! I am hosting this week's challenge. I am challenging you to get inspired from Kim Poloson's posters. Search through the many posters to find an inspiration piece. As with all inspiration pieces, there may be one or two things in the photo that inspires you whether it is an element, layout, or color scheme, or you may want to recreate the whole look. There are so many wonderful ones to choose from you will probably want to play several times. Make sure you include a link in your write up as to which one you chose and why. We would love to see what you create!!!

I stumbled upon Kim Poloson's art last year. I remember just looking through the pages of her art and thinking these would make some of the prettiest cards. I also thought that many of the images looked fabulous with Flourishes stamps. Now, this was before I started designing for Flourishes. Now, over a year later, I just knew I had to use it for one of my challenges for Timeless Tuesday. I truly hope that you enjoy persuing the many posters as much as I and garner much inspiration along the way.

For my inspiration pick, I chose Blooming Paris II . I am using the newly released Waterlilies set. I just love this flower. I stamped several and sat down with my NEW...soon to be released...Flourishes Copic Color Collections and started coloring. I colored and cut out my water lily flower using the Spring Greens, Fields, and Hollyhock color collections. I actually used some of the petals on the flowers to create some leaves. I just colored those in green, cut them out, and placed them under the lily. I did edge all the cut work detailing with The Warm Neutrals collection using the 100 marker..which is technically black.

For the large pink portion of the card, I used a soft distressed piece of solid basicgray paper. I am using the black line Jenni Bowlin paper for my center text background section. I stamped one of the sentiments in this set several times to give the look of the inspiration piece. I finished my card with an ivory organdy ribbon bow and the wonderful gold pearl domes. I really love how it turned out.
