Happy Sunday!  I have an ABC project to share with you today!  I am playing along with the Anni-VERVE-sary 2012 Challenges Day 5.   For my ANYTHING BUT a CARD project, I chose to make some Inspirational Cubes to give my dd away at University!  We just moved her in Thursday.  It has been an emotional couple of days so the best therapy is to lose yourself in your crafty space.

The top cube front is a drawer.  I used the Sweet Treats stamp set along with the Classy Label and Mini Classy Label dies.  Is it not beautiful how these smaller dies look with these stamped die cut  frames?  LOVE!  I stamped the frame image from Memento Grape Jelly.  This panel does give a sneaky peek at a set spotlighted later in the week called Borderline.  I topped the layers off with two buttons to act as my cool drawer pull so to speak.

For the other side of the cube I used the Pennant Trim die and topped each pennant with a baby bead letter.   I then stamped the flower from today's Spotlighted Wonderfully Made stamp set several times onto newsprint dp using Memento grape jelly ink.  I roughly cut those out and layered.  Instead of using the attached leaves I opted for the Dreamy Leaves die set stamped with the Dream Big leaves using Memento Pear.   One side of the cube has my dd name spelled out in die cut letters.  The top has some yellow glitter card stock.  The back is vacant for a photo or whatever my dd wishes to add to decorate it.  Also, the drawer is quite roomy.  She may want to store some desk supplies or Hershey kisses inside.

The bottom left cube spotlights two of the sentiments in the Wonderfully Made set.  I stamped those with some cream pigment ink and embossed.  It is truly striking.  I added seam binding bow in one of the corners and down the edges of the sentiments.  I wanted to keep this cube sort of clean since there are sentiments all over(a couple from sets released latter in the week).  I am hoping this one gets picked up and read a lot.  The back of this cube is opened to allow dd to add some fun little items of her choosing.   The bottoms on all three cubes I reserved for each family member to write an inspirational message to Erica.

The bottom right cube is a fun and functional little cube.   The top of this one is opened and I created a card stock paper divider.  There is one across and
two small ones.  The back I added a little notepad and post it notes.  The front I added a couple of pencils.  This cube has one side that has adhesive cork.  She can drop a post it note on it or decorated it how she sees fit.  Two sides have this yellow glitter card stock that I cut on the diagonal and adhered like a pocket...opened at the top and glued on three sides.  One pocket I left empty, the other I used  Tag Time stamp set with the Tagged Rectangle die. The sentiment and flower image comes from yesterday's spotlighted set Doodled Occasions.   I colored with some glitter.  I created the same flower  as the other cube and added to the bottom.

Each cube uses a 12 x 12 piece of card stock.  Each is 3 x 3.  They are opened on one side so it is more like a 5 side cube.   The drawer is smaller measuring 2.75.  The added front panel is the same size as the cube.  I used the used school colors Purple and Gold!
