Happy Saturday! I finally had a chance to get crafty today. I really needed some crafty therapy! School has been back in session for three weeks. I have been crazy busy and super tired. Going back to work after a two month break is hard! First world problems....I know!
Anyway, I just purchased more PTI stuff the other night and realized that I had not inked up last month's goodies. I figured I needed to get those inked up before the new stuff arrives. I decided to play along with this month's PTI Create Along With Us. WOW! It was really difficult to narrow it down to just one. All of the design team projects were AMAZING! After much clicking,I narrowed it down to this one by Lizzie Jones. I just love the layout and detailing on this Christmas card. I decided to use the same layout, but instead of Christmas, I was going to make a fall Birthday card.
Two words.....Saffron Spice! LOVE LOVE this new color! I just had to play with this shade. I also had to use my MIM Color Pop Autumn set along with Paper Clippings: Thankful for You, and Spruce and Sprig sets. I die cut the saffron panel using on the largest of the angle vertical dies and just trimmed excess from the bottom. I stamped and white embossed the sentiment. I sponged on some saffron spice around the edges of the saffron spice card stock for added depth and dimension.
I stamped the vintage cream background with simply chartreuse and ripe avocado. I added a cluster of leaves and sprigs that I stamped with hues of simply chartreuse, ripe avocado, saffron spice, and pure poppy. I die cut the acorns and leaf from the preprinted paper from kit. I wrapped some cording around my card and tied with a bow. I added some white gel dots and finished with a few warm toned irridescent sequins.
As always thanks so much for stopping by!
