"Because of You" Crazy 4 Challenges

Happy Saturday!  We have a new and fun challenge for you this week at Crazy 4 Challenges!   Check out the C4C blog for more challenge details at Crazy 4 Challenges(C4C221).

This week's challenge is
a trio of colors
blue, green, and purple

For my card I am using Verve's Let It Be, Dream Big, Joyful Blooms, and Sweet Scallop Tag stamp sets along with Verve's Cut Above Joyful Blooms and Dreamy Leaves,  and Sweet Scallop die sets.   I combined some Prima Madeline designer papers to coordinate with the color challenge.   I added some ink distressing and sewing machine stitching.   I stamped and die cut the sweet scalloped frame using dark chocolate ink.  I stamped the sentiment in royal purple ink to give me the final color for the trio of colors for the challenge.    I die cut the Joyful Blooms using SU text designer papers.   I stamped the flower outlines using dark chocolate ink.  I layered the flowers using foam tape.  I topped the flowers with a gold pearl.  I stamped the leaves and added some ink distressing and Copic veining accenting.   I finished my card with some rustic twine topped with a prism cut turquoise dot.

I am playing along with this week's Mojo Sketch.  I looked at the sketch and obviously focused more on the tall and skinny concept than the sketch.  My card took on a look all of its own.   I really had no clue I was off that much until I loaded my card.    I am playing along with this month's Curtain Call Challenge!  My card works perfectly with these colors!

Check out what the rest of the team did with this week's challenge!

As always thanks so much for stopping by!

Faithfulness, Mercy, and Love!

It is a rainy cloud cover Sunday here in Eastern North Carolina!  A great day for crafting!  I made a card today using some new papers, new dies, and new stamps!  Triple the fun!  I am using ODBD newly released Tiger Lily set along with Randi's Song stamp set.   I am playing along with ODBD Shining the Light Challenge(ODBDSLC77) to use fall colors or a fall theme.  I am also playing ODBD Stamping In Time Challenge(SNTODBD43) real or faux stitching.

I layered some Spellbinder's dies with the Cheery Lynn Kiwi doily die.  However, for the doily die I chose to die cut it without all the cuttings coming out.  If you choose not to use the metal shim.  This way I get a solid image that has embossed cut areas.  I love this look, too!   I am using new Prima Romantique designer paper.      I  finished with some sewing machine stitching, lace, ink distressing, gold pearls,  and seam binding bow with gold memory thread.

As always thanks so much for stopping by!

Your In My Thoughts! Viva La Verve and MORE!

Happy Sunday!  I spent some time in my craft room cleaning yesterday.  It is a never ending job.  Funny thing is, once it is cleaned I feel like stamping so another crafty mess.  A vicious cycle. All be it a fun one.

This card is for VLV Week 2 Sketch Challenge.   Amy Sheffer is the host this week.  Fun sketch, Amy!   For my card I am using Verve's  Forever in Our Hearts, Amazing Wishes, and Tag Time stamp sets.  I am also using Verve's Tiny Sweet Scallop dies.

I combined these sets with my new Prima Printery paper pack. I stamped the main image and added a few touches ebony glitter. I stitched and ink distressed the panels.  I added a flower with some precut text leaves that I vintaged up a bit.   I finished with a flower, layered tags, memory thread bow, and black gems.

As always thanks so much for stopping by!

Stamping In Time and MORE!

Welcome to Our Daily Bread Designs Stamping In Time: On Assignment Challenge(SNTODBD33)! The assignment is Our Daily Bread Design stamps.  The challenge this rotation is paper piercing! This is an easy one. Just add some piercing to you card. You can go all out, ornate, or simple!  We look forward to seeing what you create using ODBD stamps!  Remember, the more you play the more you increase your chance to win!

For my card I am using ODBD From Me To You and Scripture Collection 7.   I stamped the corner fuschia image and colored with copics.  I added a few touches of glitter with a glue pen and some clear glitter.  I am using Prima Reflections dp with some MME dp.  I used the stamp a ma jig to perfectly position the scripture.  I finished with a seam binding bow, button, and a couple of pearls.  I left this one pretty simple.  I did have to scoot my big bow out of the way a bit to take the picture.

I paper pierced one panel on the card.  However, instead of using a paper piercing tool, I used my sewing machine without thread.  This gives a perfect pierced look and is quick and easy! (I was able to take a better picture showing the paper piercing and a closeup of the sparkle).

Be sure to check out what Angie and Sabrina's created with the paper piercing challenge!

As always, thanks so much for stopping by!

The Lord Has Risen!

Happy Monday!  I am back after a long weekend getaway with my sis to the Outer Banks!  We had a blast and shopped til we dropped!  WooHoo!  Fun times!  Anyway, I got up bright and early and all rested this morning to head to my craft room for some crafty time.   This card is for a couple of challenges.  It is for ODBD Stamping In Time Challenge to make an Easter card.  You still have  a few days left to enter to be eligible for a $15 ODBD gift certificate.  Also, I am playing along with Chupa's Sketchbook Saturday Sketch7.

For my card I am using the newly release set Bird Borders & Corners, along with The Lord Has Risen, and Butterfly single stamp and die.  I am using some Prima Madeline designer paper for the background and decided to use the Bird Borders & Corners to coordinate with the designer paper.  I wanted to go with some warmer tones for this Easter card.  I stamped these images directly to the Prima ruled designer paper that comes in the set.  I stamped the border along the bottom in ranger stormy sky.  I then added some of the sprigs in the set using only the vintage photo ink.  The larger bird image I used in the top right corner mixing some stormy sky and vintage inks to stamp that look.  I stamped my butterfly with momento tuxedo black and colored with Copics BG10, BG11, BG72, BG75.  I used my glue pen to add some sparkle to the butterfly.  I finished with a crinkle ribbon bow, button, gold cording, and goldtone cross charm.

I am playing in a few other blog challenges.

Stamping In Time: On Assignment SNTODBD7!

It is time for Stamping In Time: On Assignment Challenge(SNTODBD7)!  This week Randi Barrett is our challenge host!  Randi is challenging us to tearing!  Now, you can include actual tearing or create a faux torn look.    Check out the ODBD SNT blog link to find out how to play along!

I am using one of ODBD Second Anniversary sets called Scripture Collection 3.   I love these collections of Anniversary sets.  They truly are must haves.    This scripture really speaks to me, too.  One of my favorites.  I am using a piece of Prima designer paper.  I tore it at the bottom and inked with some Ranger inks in vintage photo and spiced marmalade.  I layered it with another torn edge using ivory cardstock.  The base of the card is Prism by Prismatics cardstock.   I kept this card case for this week's SCS Clean and Simple Challenge (CAS61)!  To use the sentiment as only stamp.  This dp comes with the oval section made into the dp.  It looks very layered, but it is just a single sheet.    I finished my card with touches of gold pearls, satin ribbon, button, and gold metallic dew drop.   Also, this card is for this week's ODBD Shining the Light Challenge(ODBDSLC7)...real or faux stitching! I kept the stitching simple to comply with the CAS styling.  I folded the top right corner over and faux stitched just the corner section.

Please check out Angie, Chris, Debi, and Randi's blogs to see what they each created with the "tear it" challenge!

As always thank so much for stopping by!
