I just wanted to stamp and color a flower tonight and use some of my new cardstock. So, this is one of those just because.....I wanted to cards..and a challenge!!!! This card is for SCS Sketch Challenge (SC215) . I am using ODBD I Am the Way set. I just love that this set has two sizes of flowers in it. Both flowers are big enough to color and cut out, too. Love that.
Generally, I am not much of a pink person, but I just love this Raspberry Fizz cardstock. I even love the way it sounds. I am also using some Vanilla Cream and Spring Moss cardstock. Love these colors together. They just seem so fresh and vibrant. So, I thought my single flower would look fantastic with it. I colored using some aquapainters and markers. I did top the flower off with some cotton candy stickles for alittle soft glitzy pink. I used cuttlebug embossing folders to the two vanilla cream pieces for texture. I used a MS border punch give a little border detail without being too much. I added two soft green colored dew drops. Using a ribbon slider with some 5/8" grosgrain I created a cute little corner detail. I love my final look.

The next award Stef gave to me is the Kreativ Bloggers Award. I am suppose to share this award with 6 other people as well as reveal six things about myself. You must continue reading for that as I put it at the end of the post.
Cher Deb Joanne Julia Mercy Stacy
Chris awarded me the Inspired Blog Award. I am to pass this award on to six other bloggers who inspire me. Right now I am trying to absorb all things coloring. So, the following bloggers have some serious coloring skills. Some even do step by step "how to" instructions.
Six things about me....
1.) I am a middle child
2.) I am left-handed
3.) I love to cook, but from recipes handed down verbally….a pinch of this and a pinch of that. I am a true Southern cook with healthier alternatives than the days of yore. I DO NOT FRY chicken, etc. I have a few times, but generally NEVER!!!! If anyone wants fried chicken, it must be store bought. My kids generally ask for chicken on the bone in that wording because for so many years chicken with a bone was a rarity.
4.) I stamp standing up. Last year some time I was at Target and they had this dining table in expresso(I love black and really dark woods) for $49.00 or something. I love sales, too!!!! Anyway, I got this huge table that stands in the middle of my craft room. I could not find a counter height stool comfortable enough to sit in for long periods of time nor could I reach everything at the other side while sitting, so I stand to stamp. Some days my foot or leg goes to sleep where I stood too long in the same position. I am having to make myself move more or prop my foot up. Crazy, but I love my table!!!!
5.) I love Mexican Food. I guess I really should clarify that I love Mexican-American cuisine. I could eat salsa , beans, and rice everyday. I do not, but I could!!!! It is in a close race with chocolate. Depending on my mood, I have chosen salsa over chocolate. I KNOW!!!!!!
6.) I like clothes and fashion, but I am more of an accessories dresser. Give me a great fitting pair of mid rise boot cut jeans and some boots with heels( I am short and need the height and the heels help my back) and jacket with the right accessories and I have the perfect outfit for everyday of the week. As far as the clothes go, I really have to force myself NOT to buy one of every color of a particular style of shirt or top. I try to limit myself to just two, but I have actually gone back and purchased two more in different colors and justified it since I did not purchasing it at the same time. LOL!!!! I actually had a friend tell me years ago, “Betty, I know what you are going to wear everyday, I just do not know what color.”
Betty, I just love this flower and all the sayings that go with it! You keep showing these fantastic things with this set! What fun colors you used! Do you know what brand of ribbon slides you used! I love those little round ones and can't find them locally! Thanks lady!
