PTI March 2014 Blog Hop!

 

Popping in with a Papertrey Ink March 2014 Blog Hop card!  This month is all about GLOSS!    I made a quick card using some of my new stuff that just came in the mail Saturday!  WooHoo!  Not had a lot of time to actually play with it all.  For today's card I took one of the leafy images from Embellished Happiness and stamped all over a piece of ripe avocado card stock  in versamark.  I used clear dp and heat embossed.  I added some ink distressed edges.  I add the sentiment using the hello friend from the new Wet Paint set.  I finished my card with a black gingham knot.

Crazy 4 Challenges....Hello!

Make a card your way!

For my card I chose to keep it pretty clean and simple again this week.  Actually, this card is more CAS than last week's card.  I am playing along with this week's Fusion Card Challenge.  I just loved the sketch.  I am using Verve's Loopy Bloom die set.  I thought it would be fun to make a focal medallion look with a few of the dies from this set.  I love the finish look.  I textured the card stock prior to die cutting.  I arranged the pieces on the kraft card stock, added some clear gems, and finished with a simple sentiment from Verve's With Love stamp set.

Believe in YOUrself! Crazy 4 Challenges with a sketch!

This week's challenge is 
a Sketch! 

For my card I chose to keep it pretty clean and simple.  I am using Verve's More Than Love and Let It Be stamp sets along with Verve's Cut Above Wavy Hearts die set.  I finished my card with a simple bow using the Red/White ribbon from Verve's Red White and Beautiful Ribbon Collection  topped with a button and matching twine.

Your Friendship, C4C, and An Inspiration Archive!

Happy Saturday!  We have a new and fun challenge for you this week at Crazy 4 Challenges!   Check out the C4C blog for more challenge details at Crazy 4 Challenges(C4C226).  

This week's challenge is 
Be Sentimental!  

 Well, I have been sick for a few days.  I even missed a couple of days of school which is saying something because I never like to miss work.    I have some sort of  stomach virus!  No fun!  Plus,  no family member wants to come within 50 feet of me without spraying disinfectant.    I finally felt well enough to go to my craft room late today.   

For my card I am also playing along with Papertrey's Inspiration Archive Challenge.   We are to use the colors to the left, but we got to choose a sketch.  I chose the one pictured.  It works perfectly with the C4C since the sentiment is the center of attention.

I used Papertrey's True Black, snow white, and raspberry fizz dp.  I used PTI's raspberry fizz and new leaf inks.  These inks are the original formula.  I think my new leaf has gotten really dark.  I may need to purchase the new formulation.   I did stamp the veining in black.   I used Rosie Posie, Rosie Posie  Step 2, and Rosie Posie dies.  I also used We Go Together and Masculine Motifs (world image stamped in soft stone behind sentiment). My background is the Center Stage Cover Plate in black with all the pieces glued back into place.  I loved the overall texture of it.

Verve's March Diva Inspirations Hop!

 Welcome to Verve's March Diva Inspirations Hop. It's the 5th of the month and that means it's hopping time! This month we've got a fabulous challenge that's sure to put a string in your step! When I think Spring, I think warm weather, leafy trees, walks in the park, and a rebirth of nature.  One of my favorite spring colors is peach!  I used Echo Parks Victoria dp.   To create my Spring theme on my card, I combined Verve's Beautiful You,  Bountiful Backgrounds, Autumn Splendor,  Sunny Days, and Christmas in the Air stamp sets along with Verve's Cut Above Flag It, Rounded Rectangle, and Rounded Scallop Frame dies.  I finished my card with a seam binding bow in Tangerine using Verve's Spring Fling Ribbon Collection.   I am using this week's Mojo Monday Sketch 335.

Crazy for Challenges and a Mojo!

I am using some My Mind's Eye designer papers.     I am using Verve's Each Day stamp set along with Verve's Cut Above Scalloped Trim Trio, Goodness Flower, and From the Heart die sets.  I finished my card with a few of Verve's Pastel Sequin Mix and a seam binding bow in Watermelon using Verve's Truly Madly Deeply Ribbon Collection.  I am playing along with this week's Mojo Sketch.
