LOVE and MORE!

I am popping in with  two cards to share today!  I had family in from out of town for a whirlwind weekend visit.  It was a busy Saturday socializing and doing what we all do when we are together....EAT!   When I got home, I was pooped!  However, I had a MFT Stamps box waiting for me to open and suddenly I had a burst of energy. Amazing how that happens!

For the first card I am playing along with this week's Color Throwdown and the Just Us Girls Challenge.  This week is all about stencils!   I started with MFT black licorice and electric red card stock.  card base is black. I used Blueprints 15  for the stitched panel.   I used Stencil Love and masked off the heart area.  I used versamark and inked up using the pad itself to cover all of the letters.  I white embossed.  I love the distressed less than perfect look to the letters that I created swiping the versamark pad.  I also loved some of the embossing fallout.  Not too much, just enough.  I used some  smooth white pigment ink to sponge around the letters and edges to make it look more chalkboard like.  For the heart, I used All My Love stamp set and All My Love die namics.  To create some interest, I chose to use the stamp that does not coordinate with the scalloped edge heart.  I used MFT Electric Red premium ink.   I love this look.  I  popped the heart up on some foam tape.   I literally finished this card with a tiny clear gem.

For my second card I am playing along with this week's MFT Sketch Challenge, Always Playing with Paper's Color Challenge, and Simon Monday Challenge old with new.

I started with MFT smooth white, hot fudge, electric red, and jellybean green card stocks.  I stamped the background panel with Damask background using cocoa ink.  I used Blueprints 15 to die cut it.  I inked the edges with some versamark.  I die cut the next panel using Stitched Rounded Rectangles dienamics.  I stamped this panel using Linen background in versamark.  Then, I distressed stamped the Romantic Script background using some  smooth white pigment ink.   I love this layered stamping effect.

To comply with the old and new challenge,  I die cut the You've Got Mail dienamics (envelop) using the smooth white card stock.  I lightly ink distressed the edges.  I used the You've Got Mail stamp set to add the  Love Mail to the front  in electric red premium ink.   I wanted to combine this envelop with a heart.  I chose to use All My Love stamp set and All My Love die namics again.  This time, though, I actually used the stamp that coordinates with the scalloped die.  I used electric red card stock and electric red premium ink.  I added it to the envelop with some foam tape.  For the olive fishtail strips, I used jellybean green and cut two strips from Blueprints 20.  I stamped the strips using Fine Check Background using Factory Green ink.  I ink distressed the edges using versamark.   I finished the card with a few chocolate sequins.

As always thanks so much for stopping by!
