Good Things: Viva La Verve Sketch!

Happy Friday! It is a new month and a new Viva La Verve Sketch Challenge. I have a card to share using March's Viva La Verve Sketch.

For my card, I started with some pattern papers that I have had in my stash for awhile. I am going through some well loved and somewhat older packs of designer papers. This one is My Mind's Eye Be Happy. For the focal images, I used Verve's Happy Place stamp set for the flower and Brighter Days stamp set for the sentiment. I lightly sponged the circle with some ink that coordinated with the pattern paper for added dimension. I did this while the die cut was still in place to give me the crisp white edge.

The decorative edge detailing is from Verve's Award Banner Trim die. Instead of actually using the banners, I used the top edge peeking out to give a decorative scalloped edge. I colored my flower with some copics and added a few gel white dot details to the tops of the flowers. I also added some wink of stella shimmer pen to the flowers for added shine. I finished my card with some clear sequins.
