Welcome to Our Daily Bread Designs Stamping In Time: On Assignment Challenge(SNTODBD29)! The assignment is Our Daily Bread Design stamps. The challenge this time is "Christmas Cards!" I know many of you feel that you just packed away all your Christmas decorations. However, we are going to start working on our Christmas 2011 cards. It is such a joy to keep my Christmas cards that I make throughout the year in a special place and pull them all out in early December for mailing. If you do not own any ODBD Christmas stamp sets yet, you can get creative with the ones that you do have. I am sure you can work some Christmas spirit into your February creations! We look forward to seeing what you create using ODBD stamps!
For my card, I am using ODBD Blessed Christmas and Christmas Verses stamp sets. I also used the beautifully detailed Poinsettia die. This intricately designed image is gorgeous alone, but to have the intricate die to go with it is amazing! I am using some My Mind's Eye Totally Girl paper pad. I went with three soft blue patterns that have touches of lavender. I layered some spellbinders dies and threw in a silver doily for fun! I finished with some dyed lavender seam binding and silver pearls. My main image has touches of dazzling diamonds glitter all over it.
I played in a few other blog challenges, too!
Anything Goes: Distressing(sponging)
Incy Wincy: Punches or Dies
Fresh Brewed: Buttons and Bows
Fab 'n Funky: Recipe (1 image(poinsettia) 2 embellies(pearls& lace), 3 papers( I used 3 patterns of MME)
Creative Inspirations: Stripes(the band under the frames is the MME totally girl pale blue stripe...sort of covered )
Belli Challenge: Use felt or fabric(seam binding and lace trimming are fabrics)
Crafty Hazelnuts Christmas Challenge: White stuff (glitter and white(ivory base), and some white detailing)
Forgotten Scraps: Spring or Flowers
PaperPal Arts: Scallops! I have layered scallops with frames and border
Crafty Purple Frog Challenges: Add something magical to card (I added dazzling diamond dust)
SCS Ways to Use It: Gray does not have to be gloomy! Use Gray/Silver
Supplies: ODBD Stamps
Paper: Flourishes classic ivory, MME Totally Girl dp
Ink: Memento tuxedo, PTI camomille, ranger antique linen, PTI hawaiian shores
Accessories: ODBD Poinsettia die, copics, MFT die-namics, Spellbinders, oval beaded and lacey squares, silver doily, silver pearls, sponges, glue dots, dyed seam binding, foam dimensionals, button, lace trim
