Driven!

This card is for SCS Inspiration Challenge (IC 161). Thanks so much for such delicious inspiration, Stef!!!!! I loved perusing the cakes and pondering the time it takes for someone to make such a confection only to be consumed. It is truly an art. The cake I chose for my inspiration can be seen here. My cake is called Book of Quotes so I used ODBD new release Lift Your Hands since it has a quote from Abraham Lincoln. I used a black card base to add shadow. I used pacific point as the main color choice. I did cuttlebug it to add some texture. The bottome layered curved rectangle started out barely banana, but I distressed beyond its original color properties. I used the Paper Company's cream for the sentiment and quote panel. I distressed the centers of these panels while still in the die so I would have a crisp cream border. I stamped the image that comes in this set and cut just the praying hands portion. I distressed the hands and colored the robe with some bic permanent markers. I added alittle color since the inspiration cake has some color images on the pages. I used a gold satin ribbon and some gold pearls/domes to finish off my card. What do you think?

PAPER
bb, pacific point, barely banana, PC cream
INK
Ranger tea dye, vintage photo, walnut stain and a few permanent markers
