Deck the Halls!

Happy Tuesday!  I am popping in with a Christmas in July card to share today.

I am playing along with a few blog challenges.

For my card, I started with Spellbinders Deck the Hall dies.  I die cut the ornament as well as the layered die using pure poppy card stock and metallic kraft card stock.  I used Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive to glue together.  Next, I die cut the poinsettia elements from Spellbinders Glimmer Plate-Ornament using pure poppy and new leaf card stocks.  I sponged the edges of the leaves, poinsettia, and red ornament using versamark ink and sponging tool.

Next, I combined the newer products with products I already have in my stash.  I used Pierced Feature Frames.  I used True Black Color Collection polka dotted paper. I added the polka dot panel to a top folding select white card stock base using Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive.  I layered another pierced frame on top of the polka dotted panel using foam tape for added dimension.

I layered my ornaments and assembled the poinsettia elements using more foam tape as well as some double sided tape. I am blown away by the detailing in the poinsettia.  Just beautiful! I added some wink of stella to the red ornament.  I finished my card with a few gold pearls added to the center of the poinsettia.

For your convenience, here is a list of many of the products I generally use every time I make a card.

As always thanks so much for stopping by!

  1. A beautiful card, but our theme for this challenge is actually Festive Things with Wings. Never mind, it's still lovely to see your work at The Christmas Kickstart Challenge, Jo x

  2. A stunning selection of die cuts. The double ornament shapes is a clever effect. Chantell Just Add Ink
