Hello, friends! I have a card to share today using November's APG Die of the Month and the Glimmer Hot Foil Kit.
My card today uses November's Amazing Paper Grace (APG) Die of the Month along with November's Glimmer Hot Foil Kit. This month's APG is "Pop Up 3D Vignette Christmas Tree"
Reminder of Blowout Sale! |
I chose to showcase elements of the set to create a scene card. This is to give you ideas how the set can be used differently. I love the whimsical feel of these trees, so I chose to create a Winter Wonderland scene card.
I ink blended an aqua mist card stock panel using speckled egg distress ink. I used the Glimmer Kit to diecut with white card stock a snowbank. I softly blended the edges of the panel with Misty Coast ink to give subtle shading. I layered the panels using foam tape and trimmed to fit with a small border a top folding white card stock base.
Next, I die cut the smallest of the trees in the set using Pinefeather card stock. I ink blended the edges with Fresh Snow ink. I like to use the dome foam applicators with pigment inks. They just glide better. I arranged the tree elements using foam tape and glue. Next, I used an artist brush with white acrylic paint to add some white splatters for snow.
For the sentiment, I used the APG Kit. I cut the layering banner with the sentiment using schoolhouse red card stock and the background banner using white card stock. I added it to the card using foam tape and glue. I die cut three white snowflakes using the Deck the Halls die set. I arranged the snowflakes. I finished the card with a few tiny silver metallic pearls.
