Happy Wednesday, friends! I have a card to share today using the new inspiration from The Card Concept Challenge!
The challenge is Rustic Holiday!
Hope you can join us and play along!
I was inspired by the rustic theme, colors, and textures. I created a Shabby Chic/Vintage styled card.
I started with white card stock. I am using SSS Snowflake Season stamp set and Snowflake Season Die set. I stamped the largest snowflake using versamark ink and heat embossed with gold tinsel embossing powder. I die cut the image and ink blended using Ranger antique linen, brushed corduroy, and gathered twigs distress inks.
Next, I worked on the layered background panels. I used a diagonal stripe stencil and ink blended candy apple ink. I added foam tape to the back and added the panel to a top folding white card stock base. I ink blended the edges with brushed corduroy and gathered twigs distress ink.
For the next layer, I used white card stock and die cut using the deckled frame from Altenew Mix and Match frames die set. I stamped the frame using Hand Lettered Holiday background stamp using brushed corduroy distress ink. I ink distressed the edges with the same three distress inks. I used Stampin Up Gorgeous Leaves stamp set to add the speckled texture around the edges using both brushed corduroy and gathered twigs distress inks.
For the sentiment, I used SSS Joyful Season stamp set. I stamped the "Merry Christmas" using versamark ink and red embossed. I die cut the sentiment using Paper Rose Sentiment Strips dies. I ink blended with brushed corduroy distress ink and a bit of gathered twigs distress ink. I cut the sentiment strip to create two words and added it to the snowflake using some foam tape. I chose not to add any embellishments.
I am also playing along with SSS Wednesday Challenge and Make the Cards Challenge.
Here is a list of many of the products I generally
use every time I make a card.
As always thanks so much for stopping by!
I am so in love with this card, Betty. The rustic colors and feel really capture that gorgeous inspiration photo. I just couldn't resist stopping by to tell you that this is real beauty. Thanks for sharing it.
