Stamptacular Sunday Challenge, CTD, ODBDSLC, and MORE!

It is time for another Stamptacular Sunday Challenge!   "Who says three's a crowd?"  This week we are using three designer papers, three ribbons, and three flowers!                                                                          I am using the sketch for ODBD Shining the Light Challenge(ODBDSLC44)!  I just love sketches.  I also love color combos.  With these two in your hands your card is half done.   I  am using the colors from this week's Color Throwdown 125.  A trio of pear pizzazz, blushing bride, and kraft.  I added expresso as my neutral.   For my card I am using ODBD The Lord Has Risen stamp sets.    I am happy dancing at my latest Mike's find.  While perusing the many isles in Mikes that I forget to check out because I hang out in the paper crafting section mostly, I came across a marked down bag of long stemmed roses in three colors.  Hmmm.  Got me to thinking you know.

I thought as many times as I have added little roses to my card how about some long stremmed ones.  And, if that was not enough the stems are covered and I can make curly ques!  Don't you just love it when something like that comes together for you in unknown kind of ways.  Brace yourself because you will see this one again!  I chose three of the faintest pink roses from the pack.  I curly qued the stems.  I tied together with some natural May Arts twine.  I then added my pink floss bow to the top and adhered my arrangement to the top of my ribbon bow.   I really love how it turned out.

I was not able to make a card for last week's SSC challenge because my sister and I were working on and carrying out our mom and dad's 50th Wedding Anniversary Party!  Here is a picture I snapped of the two of them.  Aren't they just too cute?

Happy 50th Anniversary, Mom and Dad!

On Sunday my son started running a fever of 102.    After a trip to the docs on Monday came back with negative strepp...and something viral.  I pushed the fluids and fever reducers for a few days. Still running fever on Wednesday so headed back to the docs.  He tested positive for the flu!  Oh, JOY!  Since I was around him all week, I woke to a temp on Friday and feeling like someone drug me behind a truck.  Luckily I already had today's card sample made.   It is late Saturday evening and I am feeling a bit better.  No high fever today...just a lowgrade one.   Hopefully, I will be back to my normal self by Monday!

I have entered my card in  few more challenges.
Belli Challenge:  Letter P!  Pattern Paper, pearls, pink, pear pizzazz
Simon Says Challenge:  Bingo (die cuts, embossing, ribbon)
Truly Scrumptious:  Brown Pink and Green
AI Factory:  Anything goes
One Stitch At A Time - as you like it
Penny's Challenge - anything goes

I will try to do some blogging today.  I apologize for being absent with that this week. I was a bit occupied.  Thanks so much for stopping by!

  2. Betty, you always do such beautiful work, and this is no exception. I just love how you combine ribbons and flowers!

Thanks for visiting my blog. I've never added a "Follower" button, yet I have some. Apparently, if you go all the way to the top of the page where you can do a search, there's an option to "Follow". I tried adding a gadget that would include a button, but it didn't work.

I pray you are in the pink now. Slow down!
