ODBD Sneak Peek, CC342, and MORE!

Happy Tuesday!  I am hosting the SCS Color Combo Challenge(CC342) this week and we are having a Cherry Expresso Party!  Check out the link to find out how to play along and to find out about the fabulous dessert option!

I am sneak peeking a couple new sets to be released on the 1st by ODBD called Christmas Tree Collage and Christmas Door!  I pretty much stamped the whole image in Ranger Walnut Stain and highlight colored with glitter!    I have started doing some accent coloring with glitter. It is fun and so easy to use with the quickie glue pen! The tree is actually covered in a kaleidescope Recollections tinsel glitter and looks really sparkly and textural.   The tinsel glitter captures different light colors.   The ornaments are glittered colored in some Recollections Bell and Icicle colors. The frame and flourishes are glittered colored in  Recollections silver. SO MUCH GLITTER!

Here is a close up of the dimension and loads of sparkle.  I just love this new Christmas Tree Collage image for making some quick cards with lots of impact!  I topped this card off with a wonderful sentiment from the Christmas Door set.  I used one of the tags in the Spellbinder's Tag Trio Three.  If you are looking for flatter cards for cheaper mailing, the sentiment can be stamped inside.  I dusted off my crimper for some added background texture.  I added a few layers and popped up the collage panel, but those extras can be eliminated for easier mailing as well.  I finished with a seam binding bow and silver metallic bow with curly ques and silver pearl!  Try as I might, I am not sure I can personally eliminate the bow! LOL!

While I may not always list the Scor-Pal, Scor-Tape, and Scotch ATG adhesive, these are part of my cardmaking and are as basic as cardstock and ink for creating finished cards.

As always thanks so much for stopping by!

Hope! Mojo Sketch, Moxie Fab, and MORE!

Happy Saturday!  I have a Verve card  to share today using this week's Mojo Monday Sketch 207.  For my card, I am using Verve's Sunny Days, Swan Song, and Hope Perches Plain Jane stamp sets.   I layered some My Mind's Eye Lost and Found Collection designer papers for each of the panels and the background.  I stitched and ink distressed.  I used the smaller sprig image from the Sunny Days set along with Verve's Leafy Sprigs die.    I layered a couple Spellbinder's petite ovals for the focal image and quote.  I added my bow and a few touches of buttons to finish the card.  I must admit that this sketch was a bit tricky for me.  I had to position the front panel so that my birds and pennants still showed on the skewed panels.

This card is also for the Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger Challenge.  I used the same colors, but focused on different values of the shades.  I added buttons, pennant, stitching, and birds along with different patterns and textures.

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge(FTTC136)!

Happy Tuesday! It is time for Flourishes FTTC136 Challenge!  I am the host this week!   My challenge this week is "All Dolled Up."   We are pulling out all the stops and playing dress up!  All Dolled Up and going all girl with ribbons and bows, pearls and glitz, and anything else girly!  Looking forward to seeing your All Dolled Up creations!

For my card, I am using Flourishes newly released Feminine Charm set.  I stamped the dress form image onto  Flourishes Classic Ivory cardstock.   I colored with Flourishes Copic Color Collection.  I used some My Mind's Eye designer papers.  I layered some Spellbinder dies and softly sponged some Memento pink in the center.   I finished my soft elegant girly card with a seam binding bow, some silver pearls, sakura gel pen for sparkle, sponging, sewing, and a pearl centered silver button.  Totally dolled this one up!   Now it is your turn!

Faithfulness, Mercy, and Love!

It is a rainy cloud cover Sunday here in Eastern North Carolina!  A great day for crafting!  I made a card today using some new papers, new dies, and new stamps!  Triple the fun!  I am using ODBD newly released Tiger Lily set along with Randi's Song stamp set.   I am playing along with ODBD Shining the Light Challenge(ODBDSLC77) to use fall colors or a fall theme.  I am also playing ODBD Stamping In Time Challenge(SNTODBD43) real or faux stitching.

I layered some Spellbinder's dies with the Cheery Lynn Kiwi doily die.  However, for the doily die I chose to die cut it without all the cuttings coming out.  If you choose not to use the metal shim.  This way I get a solid image that has embossed cut areas.  I love this look, too!   I am using new Prima Romantique designer paper.      I  finished with some sewing machine stitching, lace, ink distressing, gold pearls,  and seam binding bow with gold memory thread.

As always thanks so much for stopping by!

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge(FTTC135)!

Happy Tuesday!   Flourishes Timeless Tuesday(FTTC135) Challenge!   Beate is the challenge host this week!  Beate is challenging us to make a shape card or basic square card.  Anything other than the standard A2.   Looking forward to seeing what you create.

For my card,  I decided to actually make a shape card since I make a lot of square cards.  It was a little different for me to work with a shape.  I decided to embrace it and layer it up!  I am using Flourishes Warm Winter Wishes set for the sentiment.   I am also using another sentiment from the With Gratitude stamp set that you can earn for FREE.  I am using Flourishes Classic Ivory card stock.

I started out with a large scalloped hexagon Spellbinder's die cut and  cut it out with one of the peaks at the top with the seam.  I then cut out various patterns from my Authentique Splendid paper pad.  I ink distressed all the panels and stitched them together.   I added three  Spellbinder's embossed hearts layered together for dimension.  I  used a tiny spool to create a spool message sentiment charm.  I cut the strip of designer paper.  I stamped the sentiment repeatedly across. I used some score tape to adhere the paper to the spool and started rolling.  I added it to my card with metallic gold memory thread.  Love this stuff!

I am using the sketch from Moxie Fab World: The Shape Sketch and  the Tuesday Trigger photo for my color inspiration and bold patterns!

Your In My Thoughts! Viva La Verve and MORE!

Happy Sunday!  I spent some time in my craft room cleaning yesterday.  It is a never ending job.  Funny thing is, once it is cleaned I feel like stamping so another crafty mess.  A vicious cycle. All be it a fun one.

This card is for VLV Week 2 Sketch Challenge.   Amy Sheffer is the host this week.  Fun sketch, Amy!   For my card I am using Verve's  Forever in Our Hearts, Amazing Wishes, and Tag Time stamp sets.  I am also using Verve's Tiny Sweet Scallop dies.

I combined these sets with my new Prima Printery paper pack. I stamped the main image and added a few touches ebony glitter. I stitched and ink distressed the panels.  I added a flower with some precut text leaves that I vintaged up a bit.   I finished with a flower, layered tags, memory thread bow, and black gems.

ODBD Stamping In Time Challenge (SNTODBD43)!

Happy Thursday, everyone!  It is time for another rotation of ODBD Stamping In Time Challenge (SNTODBD43)!  The assignment is to use Our Daily Bread Design stamps.  The challenge this rotation is sewing!
You can use real stitches or faux ones.  The choice is yours!  Looking forward to seeing what you create!

For today's card I am using ODBD  Porch and Pumpkin sets.  I am using various papers from MME Lost and Found Collection.  I have to say this is the best pumpkin with die cut ever!   I love the size, shape, and intricate image details. Okay, maybe I am a little biased, but I had the best fun paper piecing these pumpkins.  I love the intricate curly ques as well as the fabulously flowing leaves. The leaves are big enough to cut out and place for paper piecing ease.  I also used copics to enhance the colors used with the designer papers.  I love how this card turned out.  I combined these fun pumpkins with a scripture from ODBD Porch set.  I used Spellbinder's die for sentiment.  I thought this scripture was perfect for this card in that while I was making the card I was thinking about how God gave us different color palette's for the seasons with different fruits and vegetables.  I was just thinking about the pumpkin and how amazing it is.  The many uses aside from eating pumpkin pie, but pumpkin seeds, decoration.  It is truly one of those items that when you see it you just think fall harvest! I am playing along with ODBD Shining the Light Challenge(ODBDSLC74) Dots or Stripes!  I chose dots!  I am using Chupa's Sketchbook Saturday 27 for today's card!

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge(FTTC134)!

Happy Tuesday!   Flourishes Timeless Tuesday(FTTC134) Challenge!   Maki is the challenge host this week!  Use water on your card/project.  You can use images or elements that include water or use any techniques that include water as its supplies.  Looking forward to seeing what you create.

For my card, I am using Flourishes Sweet Days of Summer set.   I am using Flourishes Classic Ivory card stock.   While this set is named the Sweet Days of  Summer, I really think a few of the images in the set can still translate to a fall theme.

My card is also for SCS Color Combination Challenge(CC339)!  Mary is the host this week and she has chosen "Always So Crazed" as the trio of colors with an awesome dessert option.    I decided to start with some neutral papers from My Mind's Eye Lost and Found Christmas designer papers.   I know it says Christmas, but several patterns can be used  for anything really.  I just love this neutral color.  To me it coordinates perfectly with soft suede.  I thought this color would be a perfect neutral patterned background for my focal image plus offer a warm fall hue.

I decided to use the tree image from the Sweet Days of Summer set for my card today.  First, I punched out a circle and used the negative space to make my sun for the background and sponged colored the area inside the stencil.  I then
sponged colored the tree in different shades to create a true fall color wave on the leaves using always artichoke and vintage photo.  I  used the huffing technique and huffed on my stamp (heat and moisture from breathing) then stamped the image.  I love how
the tree turned out.

All the panels were ink distressed.  I used a Spellbinder's  for focal image and frame.   I finished with some cream seam binding, bow with button, and gold memory thread.

Check out what the rest of the team created!

Happy Thursday, everyone!  For my cards today I created Seed Packet Pocket Photo Card/frames!  Say that three times really fast.  I made two cards with different colors showcasing my children but mainly focusing on different size photos.  I laughed because I had a hard time finding smaller pictures.  The one of my dd is from a couple of years ago and the one of my son is from last year.  I buy school pictures, but they seem to disappear.  I guess between all the family and friends the stash gets depleted quickly.

It is the time of year when kids go back to school and get the yearly school pictures taken.  This is a fun way to not only showcase the picture for sending, but it is also functional as the card can act as a frame.  The picture can be removed for adding to a wallet as well.

For both cards I am using the newly released Seed Packet set.  I used the stamp a ma jig to perfectly place the sentiments in the frames.  I also used score tape to secure the pocket back to the front.  I used the Brocade Border Dies to cut out the center frame on both.  Since my dd picture is smaller, I used the Brocade Borders stamp set to frame the picture.   I kept both photo cards pretty simple and just finished with seam binding bow, button, pearls, and memory thread.  Anyway, just another fun way to use the Seed Packet set.  I can see these making great picture ornaments to give to family at Christmastime as well.  Just embossing the seed packet front in gold would dress it up beautifully.

From here, you will hop to the Our Daily Bread Design's Blog!   As Always thanks so much for stopping by!
