Quote, Mojo, and a Trigger!

Happy Thursday, everyone!  Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas.  I still have my tree up.  I usually do not take it down until after the new years, but I am thinking I may take it down early this year just to get the house straight.  Anyway, I have a card to share with you today using some Verve and something NEW.  I won some blog candy last week and was sent this wonderful package from ( Lynn Darda "From My Bungalow").  You can read about my win here.  Woo Hoo!

Anyway, I got this really cool kit.  I looked through the goodies and found these cool 4 X 6 transparencies that I just thought would make some really cool overlays to a card front.  The one I chose to use for this card has some stitching on it(luv that), flourishes, and little tabs with Live, Laugh, and Love already there.  All I had to do was stamp a Verve sentiment over it using Staz On ink.  I am using Verve's Words of Wisdom stamp set.  I used a mixture of a black and a purple ink only because my black Staz On pad is about dried out and my refill is empty.  It has been awhile since I drug out the Staz On I am thinking.  So, I stamped it and laid it over the card front. I used adhesive under the ribbon portion so it does not show through. I did feel the need to add a big honking bow and layer some of the From the Heart die set for a fun accent.  I am using the Mojo221 Sketch and the Inspiration picture from this week's Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger.

As always thanks so much for stopping by!
Blessings for a Wonderful New Year!

Be sure to check out the Verve Blog for info regarding the Year End Stamp and Die Sale plus a little extra something something.

Birthday Wishes for YOU!

I have a sweet Birthday card for a special little person in my life that is celebrating her big day tomorrow.  The Big 4!  Four years old, that is!  I am using MOJO Monday Sketch 219 for this card.  I combined some Verve stamps to create this fun background papers with all the layers in the sketch.
For the background I used some of the flowers from Dream Big, Bloom and Grow, Hope Blooms, and Sunny Days.  I also used the large leafy sprig from Bloom and Grow.  I stamped the flowers using Mememto rose bud, pale pink, and  PTI summer sunrise.  The leafy stem was stamped in Memento Pear.  For the vertical panel and circular panel I stamped the dotted background from Bountiful Backgrounds using Memento pale pink. I then use the scallop frame from Making a Statement  and die cut it out with the Rounded Scalloped Frame die.  For the focal image I stamped the heart image from Love Story  onto some more dotted stamped background using Memento rose bud.  I lightly colored with copics and added some glitter for accenting.  The star is from Always on My Mind stamp set.  I just inked up the star portion of the image and stamped inside the heart.  I glitzed it up a bit as well.  The sentiment is from Making a Statement .  I stamped in Memento rose bud and stamped the grid background using pale pink.  I added some stitching, paper piercing, some square gems, and a big loopy bow.

As always thanks so much for stopping by!

Bring Back Beautiful Challenge

Hello and happy Monday!  I am back with the girls at Flourishes Bring Back Beautiful Challenge!  I am so thrilled to join this group of talented girls!  I just could not give up my beautiful Flourishes stamps entirely.  I love working for Flourishes.  This months challenge is all about the Beauty of a Fold.

For my card I opted to go with my modified tent fold.  It is smaller.  4.5 X 11 inches.   Plus, I always have something dangling from the center in mine.  This time I have a double sentiment diecut stamped front and back.  This fold is fairly easy to do and can be done in stages for quick assembly and mass mailings!  Got to love that!  I am using Flourishes Vintage Postcard and Holiday Greetings.   I stamped my images using Flourishes Classic Ivory card stock.

Tent style

Dual sentiments die cut and adhered together to dangle from center of tent.

 Focal image inside of card.

Folds flat for easy mailing.

Check out the rest of the Bring Back Beautiful team to see which fold they chose and what they created.

Happy Anniversary and a Sketch For You To Try!

Happy Saturday!  It is the first Saturday of the month so it is time for another Sketch for You To Try!  Verve is the sponsor this month so Jen asked if some of the Verve divas wanted to play along.  Check out the link to find out how to win some Verve!

For my card I am using Verve's Love Story and I Heart U die set. I blended some patterns from MME paper pack.  I used a spellbinder's frame for the layers and  ink distressed and stitched all the panels.  I die cut my letters and added the bird images from Love Story.  I finished with a sentiment strip.   I have an anniversary coming up in a couple of weeks.  I am giving this one to my dh.  I know it has some pink in it, but that is okay.  Well, more than a little, but there are some blues too.

As always thanks so much for stopping by!
