ODBD Stamping In Time Challenge (SNTODBD48), CRE84FN, and MORE!

It is time for ODBD Stamping In Time Challenge (SNTODBD48)! The assignment is to use Our Daily Bread Design stamps. The challenge this rotation is to create Christmas cards, gift packaging, gift ideas or anything festive you can think of to share with a Christmas theme!    Remember, the more you play the more you increase your chance to win! We look forward to seeing what you create using ODBD stamps!

For today's card I am using ODBD Blessed Christmas and Ornaments stamp sets.  I used ODBD custom poinsettia die for the focal image.  I colored with copics added some sparkle and topped it off with a muted hue Prima flower to add more dimension and a vintage feel.   I added a sentiment from and used the Quickie glue pen to add some sparkle.  I finished with some pearls dyed to match using a copic marker.  I have been creating many Christmas cards lately that use non-traditional Christmas colors.  When I saw the CRE84FN colors, I  just knew they would make a wonderful Vintage inspired Christmas card.  I am using the colors from CRE84FN42 and Sketchbook 37.

Check out some more Christmas creations by ODBD designers.

As always thanks so much for stopping by!

Merry and Bright! CC349 and MORE!

Happy Tuesday!  I am hosting the SCS Color Combo Challenge(CC349) this week. This week's trio of  colors are Lucky Limeade, Baja Breeze, and Calypso Coral.   Check out the link to find out how to play along and what this week's dessert option is!   I am using the sketch from Viva La Verve's November Week 1.  Amy is the host!  Great sketch, Amy!  I am also playing along with Verve's Get Your Diva On!  This month is Celebrate the Season!  Check out the links to find out how to win some Verve!
For my card I am using Verve's Ornamental Christmas set.  The newly released Bright Spirits, and Glad Tiding stamp sets.  I used the new Cut Above Snowflake Tidings dies.  Love these!  I stamped the ornament with versamark directly to the panels and embossed in gold.  I die cut a center circle using Spellbinder's circles.  I then stamped the sentiment from Bright Spirits and gold embossed as well.  I stamped two of the snowflakes from Glad Tidings in Ranger stormy sky and PTI berry sorbet.  I die cut and added glitter.  Finished with a few gold pearls, some stitching, ink distressing, and a double looped gold memory thread bow. I love the not so tradional colors on this for Christmas!  Totally fun, huh?

Bring Back Beautiful Challenge

Hello and happy Monday!  I am back with the girls at Flourishes Bring Back Beautiful Challenge!  I am so thrilled to join this group of talented girls!  I just could not give up my beautiful Flourishes stamps entirely.  I love working for Flourishes.  This months challenge is all about the Beauty of a Fold.

For my card I opted to go with my modified tent fold.  It is smaller.  4.5 X 11 inches.   Plus, I always have something dangling from the center in mine.  This time I have a double sentiment diecut stamped front and back.  This fold is fairly easy to do and can be done in stages for quick assembly and mass mailings!  Got to love that!  I am using Flourishes Vintage Postcard and Holiday Greetings.   I stamped my images using Flourishes Classic Ivory card stock.

Tent style

Dual sentiments die cut and adhered together to dangle from center of tent.

 Focal image inside of card.

Folds flat for easy mailing.

Check out the rest of the Bring Back Beautiful team to see which fold they chose and what they created.

As always thanks so much for stopping by!

Happy Anniversary and a Sketch For You To Try!

Happy Saturday!  It is the first Saturday of the month so it is time for another Sketch for You To Try!  Verve is the sponsor this month so Jen asked if some of the Verve divas wanted to play along.  Check out the link to find out how to win some Verve!

For my card I am using Verve's Love Story and I Heart U die set. I blended some patterns from MME paper pack.  I used a spellbinder's frame for the layers and  ink distressed and stitched all the panels.  I die cut my letters and added the bird images from Love Story.  I finished with a sentiment strip.   I have an anniversary coming up in a couple of weeks.  I am giving this one to my dh.  I know it has some pink in it, but that is okay.  Well, more than a little, but there are some blues too.

As always thanks so much for stopping by!

ODBD Stamping In Time Challenge (SNTODBD47)!

It is time for ODBD Stamping In Time Challenge (SNTODBD47)! The assignment is to use Our Daily Bread Design stamps. The challenge this rotation is all about using your favorite scripture on a card.  I realize favorites change from time to time so the scripture could be your favorite one right now.  Tell us why it is your favorite.     Remember, the more you play the more you increase your chance to win! We look forward to seeing what you create using ODBD stamps!

For my card I am using the newly released Warm Wishes along with  Peace and Joy.     I stamped  the snow scene with adorable snowman with vintage cream ink and embossed in white.   I die cut my image with Spellbinder's Heirloom Ornaments die.  To keep with the vintage theme I stenciled some ranger antique linen along with some vintage photo ink. I added touches of Reflections snow glitter to the image for a subtle contrast to the warm tones.  I also used some Prima Printery paper pad.  Less traditional Christmas colors, but I really love the warm tones and vintage feel.  I thought this snowman further expressed the scripture.  What we "do" or "can do" with the good and perfect things  we receive from God.

Check out the cards made by this rotation's Guest Designer, Kathy Roney  , and some of the other ODBD Designers!

As always thanks so much for stopping by!

Blessings,
Betty

For my card, I am using ODBD Gift of God stamp set.  I layered some MME  Christmas Collection designer papers.  I love the horizontal pine cones with greenery image that comes in the stamp set.   I decided to create a sentiment frame by stamping the image twice on top of each other with space between.   The images are cut out so close that all I had to do was eyeball it to line it up.  And, to my surprise the finish shape works fabulously with ODBD Custom Spellbinder's Elegant Ovals dies.    LOVE that!   I gold embossed and ink distressed the edges a bit.  I layered with another Spellbinder's  frame alternating with ivory and gold glittered cardstock.  The Grand Calibur cuts the heavy weight glitter cardstock out like buddah!   I am also using a frame from Spellbinder's Book Pages 2.  I added some tiny gold pearls to the embossed framed areas.   I finished with a triple look gold memory thread bow with curly ques to finish my card.

Now I’ll send you on your way!  Your next hop is the ODBD Blog!  Don't forget to answer the question!

For my card today I am using Verve's Glad Tidings and Sunny Days sets.   I am using the Mojo Monday Sketch.  I stamped the tag image and embossed with white.  I cut out with the Sweet Scallop die.   I sponged some ranger Stormy Sky ink.  I stamped the sentiment with some smokey shadow ink.   I added some snow glitter to areas of the snowflakes center.    I used the leafy sprig images from Sunny Days set.  I stamped both the large and smaller leafy image using Ranger stormy sky ink.  I used Verve's Cut Above Leafy Sprigs Die.   To keep with some cool tones,  I added some teal blue glitter to one, silver glitter to the other, and  a snow glitter to the smaller, and silver glitter to one.  I arranged the three around my seam binding blow.  I added a few curly ques of silver memory thread and topped off my bow with a star burst.
