It is time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge(FTTC73) ! It is the last Tuesday of the month so we have a challenge host. This month's host is Cindy Coutt's. Cindy is giving us a fruit inspired challenge. You can actually create a card with fruits, use fruity colors, or be inspired by fruit shapes. It will be a cool and refreshing sweet treat whichever choice you decide. We look forward to seeing what you create.
This card is also for today's SCS Color Combo Challenge(CC277)! It is all about Curry Bay Durangos! Check out the link to find out the dessert option, too!
For my card I am using Flourishes newly release set called Life Lines. For the fruity challenge I combined some fruity colors, used some fruity shapes, patterns, and textures. I also, created many layers with a label look for fruit sold in jars. In addition, I also used a sentiment that better expresses that even fruits have their season to rippen!
*******************I edited this section in because I decided to share the time I had with this card with you all! LOL! *********************************************
Here are the two cards I made and could not decide if I liked or not. The first one....I used the Gerber Daisies set stamped onto crushed curry pattern paper in versamark and clear embossed. I then used some Ranger Tea Dyed to bring out the shape of the flowers a bit. I used clear cardstock to stamp my sentiment from Life Lines. After it was done, I really thought it did not look all bad. However, the focal image did not look like the color challenge colors. So, I redid it. This card uses the same set and same gerber daisies set, but instead of clear embossing I embossed the flower image in white. I then used the same clear panel from the above card. For this one, I did not particularly like the contrast of the white with the ivory cardstock. The contrast is more noticeable IRL. I thought it was too harsh looking for me. Also, after I took the picture and saw it on the screen, the clear sentiment section looks crooked. It may just be the alignment with the flower, but I went back to my table and redid it again. Hence, the top card was born.
In all honesty, I do not like any of them. However, it was too late to continue with the switcheroo game so I went with the last one. Just sharing with you all that stamping and creating is truly a process. I probably should have stayed with the first one and left it at that. Oh, well. Live and Learn! LOL! Just curious...which one do you like? I would like to add that these two cards I used the sketch from Crazy 4 Challenges(C4C43).

It is time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge(FTTC72) ! This week Silke Ledlow is hosting. She is challenging us to a sketch she has designed. As far as sketches go, there is not much of an explanation necessary. You can turn it and modify the shapes to fit your size card, but in the end, it should still look like the sketch. Good Luck!!! We cannot wait to see what you do with it! I am using Spring Bouquet and Fanciful Flourishes stamp sets. I turned the sketch to the right. I added border punch, fou fou bow, paper roses, and flourishes Line Pearls. I layered Spellbinders Label Eleven with Big Scallop Ovals. Love the look of them layered like this.
This card is for today's SCS Color Combo Challenge(CC276)! There is a dessert option, but I totally forgot it! Now... there's a first!
It is for The Shabby Tea Room Week #15 Cottage Comfort Inspiration Challenge.
This card is for Crazy 4 Challenges(C4C42)! To use either handmade or store bought paper flowers. Well, I have been wanting to buy and to use these tiny roses. They come on wire which I just clip off and use a glue dot to adhere.
Check out the other blog team designers to see what they created with the sketch!
As always, thanks so much for stopping by! Your comments are greatly appreciated!
It is time for Stamping In Time Challenge(SNTODBD12)! The challenge host this three week challenge period due to the holiday is LeAnne Pugliese. LeAnne is challenging us to an inspiration picture! Be inspired by the colors, shapes, patterns, or design in the picture! Enjoy and have fun! We would love to see what you create using Our Daily Bread Design stamps! You have from now until July 7th to enter this challenge!
For my card I am using ODBD Scripture Collection 4 and The Lord Has Risen stamp sets. In keeping with my designer paper colors and the inspiration picture, I chose to color the cluster of flowers in The Lord Has Risen set red. I added a few touches of clear gems to the centers. I layered my circle die cut nestabilities with Spellbinders blossoms diecut. I finished my card with some satin ribbon, button, and clear dew drops. This card is also for today's SCS Ways to Use It Challenge(WT275)! We are to use ribbon in a unique way or our favorite way. I must say that this is my favorite way. I actually tried to make this card and not include the bow, but it seemed nekked without it. I actually scored the horizontal pirouette pink panel, but you can barely see it as I covered it with my honking bow. Another thing is the bows must be big. I use the mini bowdabra to make my fou fou bows. I also tend to put my bows sideways, too! I do place them facing down sometimes, but I really love them sideways. I usually like to place something in the center of my bow. I often use buttons, but I always find a way to cover up the holes in the buttons. I have button hole issues...lol!

As always, thanks so much for stopping by!
It is time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge(FTTC71)! This week Cindy Haffner is our challenge host. Cindy is challenging us to embossing. There are a lot of different types of embossing options to choose from, such as heat, stencil, plates, folders, scoring, textured die cuts, and more. In addition, there are many different techniques to combined with embossing. You can also use anything from vellum, clear cardstock, or other textures for your embossed projects. We would love to see what you all create.
This card is also for SCS Color Combo Challenge(CC275)! This week is all about Barely Mellow Reds! Love these colors together! I am using Flourishes Spring Ephemerals. I rocked and roll the bleeding heart image using pure poppy and mellow moss. I sponged the edge with some ranger straw distressing ink. I layered assorted patterns of Webster's Pages dp for the background. After I adhered all the layers to the barely banana cardstock and sponged the edges, I then ran it through the bigshot using a SU texturz plate. I love the combination of the varying patterns with the same texture. For the dessert option with the CC275 challenge I added small gold pearls to the scalloped rectangle frame. I finished with some champagne net wire ribbon! LOVE this stuff! I top the center of my bow with a gold button. I did add a couple of tiny butterflies. I could not decide on a sentiment. I left the card as is for now1

It is time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge (FTTC70)! Dee Jackson is our challenge host this week. Dee is challenging us to a color combo. We are to use black and white with a third color of choice. So, black, white, plus ONE! Have fun with it and we look forward to seeing what you create!
For my card I am using a deep red cardstock as my third color in the black and white plus one challenge. I stamped all of the paper you see. I am using Flourishes Fanciful Favorites stamp set. I stamped the red piece with the largest damask image. I stamped the Flourishes white cardstock panel with the long border piece that comes in the set. I used a script in a warm toned ink that shows alittle bit on the cardstock. Alittle bit of a contrast. I stamped one of the smaller images in the Birds and Vine set as my focal point. I then added some lace trim, a lace trim flower with button and gold pearl center and some soft sponging. I love the simplicity of this piece!
This card is for today's SCS Color Combo Challenge(CC274)! Check out the link to find out about the colors and the dessert option!

It is time for Stamping In Time Challenge(SNTODBD11)! This week, Angella Crockett, one of the ODBD Bread Basket Designers is hosting. Angie is challenging us to "create a scene." Now, you can use any of ODBD scene stamps or combine other ODBD images and scriptures with designer papers and create your own scene! Important thing is to have fun "making a scene!" We would love to see what scene you create!
This card is also for SCS Queen for the Day Challenge(QFTD11)! This week we are honoring Grace Nywening. Since Grace is the fearless Design Team Coordinator at ODBD, I thought it fitting to case her card here with this challenge! Congratulations, Grace!
For my card I am using ODBD Mother Teresa set. The Lotus image that comes in this set is the National flower of India where Mother Teresa served. This set comes with wonderful quotes by Mother Teresa. I thought the lotus waterlily image on the water creates a very peaceful, tranquil water scene. I colored with copic markers. Lately, I have been practicing coloring white flowers. I think this is hard to do. It is still a work in progress. While the cardstock is white, it is still a bit tricky for me since there is no white ink and I want to cover up all the white space....lol! I am using Basicgray dp and Spellbinders Nestabilities. I finished my card with some satin ribbon, silver pearls, and button with silver dew drop. Check out the other designers to see what they created with the "make a scene" challenge.

It is time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge(FTTC69) ! This week Barbara Anders is hosting! Barbara is challenging us to a one layered card. Not much explanation required with this challenge! Go have fun and show us what you can do!
The card for Barbara's challenge is below. The top card is for today's SCS Color Combo Challenge(CC273)! Cocoa Banana Gardens! It is also to let you know that I am teasing you a bit with a card I made using one of Flourishes newest releases called Cherry Blossoms. Today is your lucky day! One of the FOF Blog Team designers has the Cherry Blossom set up for grabs!! To win it just visit all the FOF blogs links below and leave a comment on each blog including mine. One winner will be chosen from all the comments combined. Good Luck :)
ONE LAYER: This card is not without a story. ONE LAYER cards!?!? While the concept seems easy peasy, it is so very hard for me. LOL! I have ONE layer, though. I did it! I decided to use Flourishes Beach Life stamp set for this card. I actually have a pile of stuff on my desk that I junked. I tried borders and edges and stuff. I settled on this one. Nothing but an Ivory A2 card. I debated coloring the palm tree, but decided with a comment like "Wish You Were Here"....if I were truly enjoying myself so much and wanted you here, I would not have time to color it. So, there! My excuse for leaving this card clean and simple. Now, while technicalities are just that a technicality...I did not read anywhere that the embellishments could not be layered up! Hee Hee! I added some of my favorite gingham ribbon! This stuff is a cotton poly blend and has a wonderful hand to it. This is black/ivory gingham. Love it! I added a big black button with a flower and gold dew drop. I added a sentiment tag, too! Whew....got it done!
Check out the other blog team designers to see what we all created with ONE LAYER!
The Cherry Blossom card! I stamped my image using Memento tuxedo black ink onto Flourishes Classic Ivory cardstock. I colored using Flourishes Copic Color Collection. I am using Basicgray Cappella dp. I added a few flourished Line Pearls to the card. I finished with some gold wired net ribbon amd a Silver Finishing Touches metal adornment that I affixed one of Line Pearl hearts to. Love this unusal coloring and color combo. I really love how it looks!
