Verve March 2016 Spotlight Hops Day 1!

Welcome to Verve's March Spotlight Hops!  It's an exciting day as there's a whole bunch of new Verve in the store this morning! 5 beautiful new sets, 6 die sets and a plain jane just released and they're all available to order right now. Throughout the next week we'll be spotlighting each of the new sets with a hop to show you just how versatile these sets are.

Today the Divas and special guests are showing you their first projects with the new release. And it's designer's choice, so you might just sneak a peek at a whole bunch of must-haves!

I just think all of these stamps and dies are pretty perfect!  I decided to create a watercolor background with some distress inks.  Next, I die cut, stamped and white embossed the sentiments from the new Simply Amazing stamp set using Verve's Mini Classy Label dies.  I lightly sponged some white pigment ink around the edges.  Then, I die cut the word "perfect" form the new Amazing Adjectives Word Die set. (This is a must have set for sure!  Love the font and the word choices!)  I die cut the word twice with regular white card stock and stacked together.  

 

To continue with the watercolor look, I again used some Ranger distressed inks and watercolored a subtle ombre background in shades of red, then die cut the "perfect" word  from the watercolored paper once it dried.  Again, I glued this piece to the top of the word stack for added thickness and dimension.  I finished the card with a few sequins.

Verve's No Matter What HOP!

Welcome to our No Matter What Hop!  Today we're releasing a lovely little set that you might have spied during Verve's Thanksgiving weekend sale. For my card I am using the No Matter What set combined with Love Notes and Jotted Heart Die.  I combined some fun My Mind's Eye designer papers.  I used various stitches with the heart stamped frame.  Inside the heart I stamped one of the images that comes in the No Matter What set behind the sentiment.  

I added a mirrored silver card stock die cut heart, a piece of metallic silver doily, and finished with a seam binding bow from Verve's Truly Madly Deeply Ribbon Collection.  I topped my bow with a star burst.  I finish the card with a few tiny silver pearls.  I am using the sketch from this week's Mojo Monday 275.
