Love You!

Happy Saturday!  We have a new and fun challenge for you this week at Crazy 4 Challenges!   Check out the C4C blog for more challenge details at Crazy 4 Challenges(C4C222).

This week's challenge is
all about glitter!

I am playing along with Papertrey's Anniversary Challenges as well.  Today's challenge was to make an ATC card.  I started with a 3X4 piece of rustic white card stock.  I added PTI pattern paper in pure poppy gingham.  I ever so lightly ink distressed all the edges and added some sewing machine stitching.  I used my limitless layers hearts die.   The outer frame was die cut using PTI rustic white and the center frame using pure poppy.  I stamped one of the frames from With All My Heart stamp set using versamark and white embossed.  I added a red glittered card stock PTI heart border to finish off my ATC.

Of course,  I then went ahead and used my ATC to finish a card.  I once again reached for the PTI rustic white.  I used the distressed dots designer paper pack in pure poppy.  I lightly ink distressed the edges, added some sewing machine stitching, then popped the ATC on top using some foam tape for added dimension.  I finished with a red seam binding bow and an extra touch of glittered card stock heart to the center.

With Heartfelt Thanks! Make It Monday!

I am popping in today with another card.  Actually, I have a few note cards.  I am still writing thank you notes.  This suite of note cards is for this week's PTI  Make It Monday Challenge #150.  We are to make a Window Screen Card.  Here is my take on the challenge.

I started with 3 5/8 X4 1/4 note card size.  I tried to make the note card with the least amount of waist.  This size works.  I stamped the sentiment from PTI Script Sentiments stamp set across the bottom with Memento tuxedo black.

I am using PTI rustic white card stock.  My go to white for awhile now.   I die cut the largest frame in Fabulous Frames dies.  I used the square image and stamped the coordinating frame from Fabulous Frames stamp set.  I  stamped a few of the frames in Memento Black.  One square I clear embossed the whole frame after I stamped it in black.  However, it was when I stamped embossed the frame in Versa mark and black embossed that I loved the results.  The black just pops.  I die cut the heart border in the same rustic white and layered for the screened effect behind the raised(foam tape) focal frame.

I then searched for the right sized die cut heart in my stash that would fit perfectly inside.  The only one I had was WPlus 9 heart die from the Seasonal Sentiments die collection.  I cut cut the heart in red and added dimensionals and slightly curled the top of the heart for added dimension.    I decided I wanted to keep these note cards as simple as possible so I did not add any other embellishments.

I like this look!  Once I got the initial design figured out, it went pretty quick.  I need to make a few more and I will be finished.  Of course, I do need to fill them out and get them to my students who gave me Christmas gifts.  So thoughtful of them.

As always thanks so much for stopping by!

"Because of You" Crazy 4 Challenges

Happy Saturday!  We have a new and fun challenge for you this week at Crazy 4 Challenges!   Check out the C4C blog for more challenge details at Crazy 4 Challenges(C4C221).

This week's challenge is
a trio of colors
blue, green, and purple

For my card I am using Verve's Let It Be, Dream Big, Joyful Blooms, and Sweet Scallop Tag stamp sets along with Verve's Cut Above Joyful Blooms and Dreamy Leaves,  and Sweet Scallop die sets.   I combined some Prima Madeline designer papers to coordinate with the color challenge.   I added some ink distressing and sewing machine stitching.   I stamped and die cut the sweet scalloped frame using dark chocolate ink.  I stamped the sentiment in royal purple ink to give me the final color for the trio of colors for the challenge.    I die cut the Joyful Blooms using SU text designer papers.   I stamped the flower outlines using dark chocolate ink.  I layered the flowers using foam tape.  I topped the flowers with a gold pearl.  I stamped the leaves and added some ink distressing and Copic veining accenting.   I finished my card with some rustic twine topped with a prism cut turquoise dot.

I am playing along with this week's Mojo Sketch.  I looked at the sketch and obviously focused more on the tall and skinny concept than the sketch.  My card took on a look all of its own.   I really had no clue I was off that much until I loaded my card.    I am playing along with this month's Curtain Call Challenge!  My card works perfectly with these colors!

Check out what the rest of the team did with this week's challenge!
