Verve's October Release Retrospective Blog Hop!

Welcome to Verve's October Release Retrospective Blog Hop!  Today the Verve Divas and Guest Divas are back with another dose of inspiration using the brand new release! All of our new products are available to order in the Verve shop and on sale through the end of October! Plus, we've got a sweet hop prize in store!

For my card I started with some smooth white card stock and ranger distress inks.  I brushed on hues of blues and purples.  I spritz with water to remove some color then added some white and black splatters.  I stamped the leafy sprig from Autumn Blessing stamp set with black hybrid ink and colored with copic markers.  I die cut it using the Autumn Thanks die set. 

For my sentiment, I die cut the word thanks from the Autumn Thanks die set three times in black and once in gold.  I layered the images for added dimension.  I added some loose threading and finished my card with some Verve Shine Bright Sequin Mix.

Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge: Glittery Gourds!

It's time for a new Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge!

The LEAD of this challenge will be invited to be a guest designer in an upcoming challenge!

For my card I started with some circle gold glitter card stock that I die cut into a circle.  I die cut it again with a rectangle die cut to create a window.   I created a shaker using several colors of sequins.  I used mostly fall colored ones, but I added a few clear and white irridescent to coordinate with the frame.

Next, I sponged some scarlet jewel ink onto some stampers select white card stock.  I die cut the Bountiful word die using the MIM:  Color Pop Autumn Kit. I added some leaves along with a pine bough from Holiday Greens.  I finished with a few burgandy sequins to top off my leaf cluster along with some wink of stella on my word for added shine!

Day 4 ~ Verve's October Spotlight Hops!

Welcome back to Day 4 of our October Spotlight Hops!  The Verve Divas and special guests are back for another day of spotlighting our new release! Everything previewed this week is available to order in the Verve shop.

Today we're sharing our first projects featuring the Autumn Blessings stamp set and coordinating Autumn Thanks Die Set.

I started with a sheet of smooth white card stock and stamped different shades of greens using the Autumn Blessings leafy medallion.  I added a few touches of  teal and coral using a couple of the images that come in the set as well as a few tiny dotted images and pinecones from Pinecone Christmas set.  

I stamped using the die cut from Autumn Thanks die the leafy medallion and stamp using the three leaf sprig all the way around the image alternating different hues of greens.  I popped this image up offset with a gold foil die cut frame.  I added a black enamel dot to the center to finish it off.  I die cut the "thanks" using some gold foil card stock.     I love the warm fall masculine feel this card has.

Day 3 ~ Verve's October Spotlight Hops!

Today we're sharing our first projects featuring the Everything Nice stamp set and coordinating Pumpkin Spice Die Set.

For my card, I started with some green gingham designer paper.  Nothing says fall quite like some warm toned gingham!  I die cut and stamped three of the pumpkins in hues of oranges and rust colors.  I inked the sentiment in a tangy orange shade and rocked and rolled a cocoa shade for added depth.  I added a coffee mug tag with a stamped pumpkin to comply with this week's Mojo Monday Sketch.

I also added a pumpkin border across the bottom stamped in versamark.   I love this whimsy look!   I added a few gold stars to my pumpkins using Verve's Gold Package Sequin Mixix.   I used Kirarina Wink Gold Metallic glitter pen to color the other stars on the pumpkins for a metallic finish. Of course, my card would not be complete without some wink of stella on those pumpkins and coffee cream topper!

Today we're sharing our first projects featuring the Angel Voices stamp set and coordinating Angelic Die Set.

For my card I started  with some Carta Bella So Noted designer paper.  I added a vintage cream  card base and focal panel.  I stamped two sentiments from the Angel Voices stamp set and gold embossed.  Next, I die cut, stamped, and colored two of the angels with the same set and coordinating Angelic die set.

I colored the angels with copic markers.  I used wink of stella clear to add some shimmer to the angels.  I used Kirarina Wink Gold Metallic glitter pen to color the cross for a metallic finish. I finished my card with a few sequins using Verve's Shine Bright Sequin Mix.

Day 1 ~ Verve's October Spotlight Hops!

For my card, I just had to ink up one of these adorable angel stamps from Angel Voices stamp set.  I frame the angel with the  wreath from the Autumn Blessings set!  I think they look great together, too!   I colored my images with copics.  I added my panel to a craft top folding card base.

I added some wink of stella to the angel and a touch of crystal effects to the heart.  I finished with a few of Verve's Shine Bright Sequin Mix.
