Both cards use the new Mother's Day set. For the top card, I stamped the poppy image several times, colored, and die cut with the beautifully detailed Poppy die. While this flower is absolutely gorgeous die cut as is, I just love to play along with different arrangement possibilities. The intricate part of the flower is already die cut so alittle snip here or there and I can use those pieces to create poppy clusters and added dimension! I kept the top card pretty simple and just let my flower arrangement and the beautiful scripture that comes in the set do the work! I added some stickles gunmetal to the center of my poppies.
The second card was for Tuesday SCS CC316 Challenge! We used marine mist, baja breeze, and certainly celery. I have not blogged it yet so I thought I would share it with you here today. I wanted to emphasize that the poppy does not have to always be red, that you can ink this image with two colors, and that the flower is so beautifully designed that coloring is not required. I even opted not to die cut this one just to show you even more ways to use this beautiful poppy.
As always, thanks so much for stopping by! Next on the hop is the ODBD blog! Have a Blessed Day!
Betty
The top card uses the colors from this week's CR84FN21 Challenge.
