Merry Christmas!

Happy Sunday!  I am popping in with a fun card to share.   am playing along with this week's Papertrey Inks Make It Monday Challenge.  We are to use glitter matting on our cards.  I am also playing along with Fusion Card Challenge.

For my card I used PTI Holiday Tag Mini Kit.  I combined the kit with PTI Christmas Cheer stamps and die set.  I created my background by die cutting the stitchd rectangle die.  I softly sponged some tumbled glass ink.  Then, I sponged again using the same ink PTI dots stencil creating a gradient effect.

I backed or matted my tag with some blue glitter card stock.  I finished my card with a few clear sequins. I am also playing along with Tag You're It Challenge.

October Papertrey Ink Blog Hop!

Happy Wednesday!  I am popping in with a card to share.   I am playing along with this month's PTI Blog Hop Challenge!

First of all, I just love this type of PTI Blog Inspiration option with several different looks and choices.  I sort of morphed two looks together.

I started with some watercolor paper. I stamped the Cover Up: Quatrafoil stamp and white embossed.  I used a mixture of different inks to drop in and let dry in different areas to create the blend of colors similar to the one on the second row third from left.  Next, I die cut the Branching Out leaf in white card stock, gold foil card stock and enchanted evening card stock and layered.  I offset just a tad the evening enchanted so the gold peeks out underneath.

I stamped the sentiment from Twig Wreath stamp set using dark indigo ink onto the smaller of the banner dies from Wine Bottle Tag #2 die.  I finished the card by brushing wink of stella all over the branching out leaf.

As always thanks so much for hopping by!

Sending Joy This Christmas!

Happy Sunday!  I am popping in with a fun card to share.  I realized I needed to get busy workng on my Christmas cards.  I am playing along with this week's Papertrey Inks Make It Monday Challenge.  We are to build-a-wreath using a die cut and stamps.

I decided to use the Enclosed Bell die for my wreath frame.  I die cut my bell wreath several times with kraft card stock and glued together for some added dimension.  The top layer uses gold and red foil card stocks.  Next, I die cut and layered the Christmas foliage die from Berry Boughs and Pretty Brackets.  I sponged the edges of the Berry Boughs frame using Prairie Grass, Olive Twist, and Pure Poppy Inks.

I stamped images around my bell wreath using elements from PTI MIM Mini Kit:  Holiday Folk, Christmas Faith, and Bell Mini stamp sets using Prairie Grass, Olive Twist, and Pure Poppy Inks.  I stamped the "sending" and "this Christmas" in pure poppy using  Enclosed Bell and Bell Mini stamp set.  I added the holly and berries using PTI Enclosed: Bell Mini stamp set and die.  I layered the frame onto some pure poppy bitty big pattern paper.  I just love this stuff!   I finished my card with a few clear sequins.

Celebrate Christmas!

Happy Sunday!  I am popping in with a fun card to share.  I realized I needed to get busy workng on my Christmas cards.

I am playing along with this week's Papertrey Inks Make It Monday Challenge.  We are to make a sentiment window card.  I am also using the sketch from this week' Fusion Card Challenge.

I got some new PTI goodies in the mail yesterday and I could not wait to get stamping.  As usual, I love to mix some older stuff with some new stuff.  I am using the new Pure Poppy Bitty Big paper.  I die cut it using the new stitched wine bottle topper.  I just used the bottom section.

I stamped the celebrate from PTI In the Bag stamp set.  I gold embossed most of it and stamped the rest in pure poppy.  I added some holly and berries using PTI Enclosed: Bell Mini stamp set.  I finished my card with a few clear sequins.

Verve Stamps October 2017 Spotlight Hop

Welcome to Verve's October Mini Release Spotlight Hop! There's something new in the Verve shop today, and we're celebrating with a blog hop. Along the hop you'll see the Divas' first looks at the new Autumn Leaves stamp set and Falling Leaves die set.

Verve is hosting a little giveaway, so why not join in the fun and hop along with us? Just leave a little shout out in the comments at each stop and you'll be in the prize drawing for the new products. Check out the Verve Blog today for a little more about the new goodies and all the prize info and deadlines.

Thanks for joining along with us in the hop!  If you got here from Christyne's blog you are in the right place on the hop!

Sit back and enjoy!  I have three cards to share with you today!

For my first card, I experimented with distressed oxide inks for the first time. I only own three, but I figure I had to start somewhere!    I blended candied apple and fossilized amber together for this card.

Next, I stamped the outline leaves from the new Autumn Leaves stamp set using regular Ranger distressed inks and some versamark.  I love the way it turned out.

I  die cut a piece of black card stock and stamped the sentiment using Verve's Stitched Pennant die set in versamark and heat set with a mixture of yellow and green embossing powders.

I finished my card with a few sequins from Harvest Gold sequin mix.

For my second card, I just had to copic color these adorable pumpkins included in the new Autumn Leaves stamp set. This set is full of so many fantastic images and sentiments for fall!

I die cut and colored the pumpkins using the new Autumn Leaves stamp set and Falling Leaves die set.  I love this wonderful stitched rectangle frame.  A staple for any craft collection.  I added the sentiment and white embossed.

I used foam tape to add my nested pumpkins at varying heights for added interest.  I finished with a few gold halfback pearls.  This is where I tell you I was not finished and actually added a lot of wink of stella to my pumpkins.  I mean these gourds shine!

For my third card, I am rockin' it old school!  I broke out a few "vintage"  embossing folders!  These folders are almost 10 years old!  WOW!  Time flies!   I also used some rustic cream card stock I found in my stash.  I have not used that in forever, either.

I stamped and die cut the leaves using the new Autumn Leaves stamp set and Falling Leaves die set.  I used foam blending circles to sponge diffferent colors onto the solid image before I stamped.  I love the soft subtle blend.

I stamped the sentiment and clustered three leaves in the corner.  My focal panel is die cut using Cupcake Frames die set.

I rocked and rolled stamped the verticle strip using the smallest outlined leaf.  Again,  I finished my card with a few sequins from Harvest Gold sequin mix.

Hey, did you know the Viva La Verve Sketch is back in action?  I used this sketch today on my "Thankful for You" card above.  Check it out because you can win a chance at a Verve prize if you play along there, too!

Thanks for sticking around til the end of my post!  You are not done yet, though.  There are prizes at stake!   Next on the hop is the wonderfully talented Teresa!

Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge: Iced Coffee!

It's time for a new Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge!

The LEAD of this challenge will be invited to be a guest designer in an upcoming challenge!

For my card I started with some watercolor paper and my Kuretake Gonsai Tambi Watercolors.     To follow along with this week's CASE this Sketch ChallengeI water colored stripes of black, bronze, and gold on the diagonal.   I waited for the colors to dry, then die cut the word "coffee" from the  lines using Verve's Coffee Word die along with a plain white word using watercolor paper.

Next, I added the stripes section to a cardfront.  I stacked the two words and inlaid them.  I stamped the word "perk" from Verve's Better With You stamp set.

I then die cut and stamped three cups using Verve's Happiness in a Cup die set and Fill My Cup stamp set. I watercolored using Ranger Distress inks in pumice stone, candied apple, and brick red.  I layered on the card using some foam tape for added dimension.  I finished my card with some watercolored splatters and three black gems.

Make sure you visit each of the designers' blogs
for more inspiration!
