Holiday Cheer!

Happy Saturday!  I have a card to share.  I am playing along with Papertrey Ink's Create Along With Us September Challenge.

I chose to case Dawn's card.

I just love the colors and the two-toned holly background on Dawn's card.  Since I do not have my new PTI goodies yet, I used what I had.  I thought the leafy cluster in Daydreamer stamp set would work.  This set also has a trio of circles that I used for the holly berries.  I stamped the leafy image with new leaf ink and rocked and rolled hawaiian shores on the edges.

Next, I die cut tag #4 in hawaiian shores card stock and used Big and Bold Christmas stamp set for the sentiments.  I used Happy Hydrangea stamp set and die for the bow die cut in pure poppy and stamped with pure poppy ink.  To give my red holly berries some highlights, I used some white acrylic paint and the end of my stylus to create the dotted highlights.

Muse: Christmas Visions Challenge MCV20!

Happy Wednesday!  It is the 3rd Wednesday of the month and time for my
MUSE:  Christmas Vision Card Club Challenge!

I finally got a chance to ink up my new PTI Twig Wreath set.  I sort of went a wee bit wreath crazy.   I am going for a fuller wreath look.  I found all the stamping very therapeutic.   I started with a scarlet jewel card base layered with a scarlet jewel.  Both the card base and the layer have been swiped with versamark to add some texture.

I die cut a stitched rectangle with some cream card stock.  I stamped the twig wreath three times using chocolate ink.  I slightly moved the stamp each time to create a more fuller look.  I then stamped all my greenery.  I created a cluster at the bottom using the coordinating dies.  I stamped the sentiment using PTI Signature Greetings stamp set in black licorice hybrid ink.  I popped the cream panel up with some foam mounting tape.  I finished the card with a few burgundy sequins.

I hope my card inspires you to create a Christmas creation of your own.  I can't wait to see what you create.  Make sure you link up your creations HERE!

Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge: Pop Pop Pop!

It is time for another Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge!

The LEAD of this challenge will be invited to be a Guest Designer in an upcoming challenge!

I decided to use the colors and patterns of the inspiration picture.   I started with a warm buttery gingham background to play off of the popcorn color.  I die cut PTI Branching Out die three times in ripe avocado card stock and glued together to make it sturdy as well as add dimension.  I added a few touches of versamark to give it some texture.  I just love how the leafy branch just pops.   I used PTI Scripted Stamp set to stamp the sentiment in black licorice hybrid ink.  I finished the card with a few clear sequins.

For my card, I started with some warm autumnal colors using Fancy Pants As You Wish paper pad.  I stamped the warm mustard panel with Verve's Better Together stamp set using the background image stamped in versamark to create some subtle texture.  I layered a vintage cream doily and a deep turquoise tag using Verve's Flourished Tag die set.  I used Verve's Floral Notes stamp set and stamped the poppies image.  I die cut with Verve's Floral Notes die set.  I colored the image with copics in warm shades of burnt oranges and fall greens.  I added some wink of stella to the centers of the poppies.  For the sentiment, I used the same Floral Notes stamp set.  I finished my card with a mini clothespin, some loose ombre embroidery thread, and  few of  Verve's Shine Bright Sequin Mix.

Thinking of You!

Happy Monday!  It is Labor Day so No School today!  I love teaching, but I love breaks, too!  Anyway, I have a card to share since I had some time to get crafty!   I am playing along with a couple blog challenges.

I am using MFT Stamps supplies.  I started with a smooth white card stock base.  I stamped die cut a stitched panel from Blueprints 25.  I distressed stamped Fine Check background in soft sno ink.  Next, I die cut a pierced rectangle stax and embossed with the Modern Morocco die namic.    I die cut a pierced tag stax and layered the Modern Blooms in shades of wild wisteria and pure plum.  I stamped the leaves with soft sno in keeping with the color scheme.  I added contrast to the flowers and leaves with black licorice.

For the sentiment, I die cut a stitched sentiment strip from Blueprints 20 in black licorice.  I stamped the sentiment from Spring Tulips in versamark and white embossed.  I added some loose looped threading for the tag tie and finished with a few sequins. I am playing along with this week's ColourQ and MFT Weekly Sketch Challenge.
