Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge: Frosting!

It's time for a new Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge!

The LEAD of this challenge will be invited to be a guest designer in an upcoming challenge!

I focused on the colors and overall look of the inspiration photo.  I started with some PTI white linen paper.  I used ranger hickory smokey ink cube with the dtp(direct to paper) technique brushed it across the paper.  I added some pressure in areas to get a more saturated look. I really love the distress weather feel.

I stamped and die cut PTI Beautiful Berries stamp set in pale peony and lovely lady.  I white embossed the sentiment from PTI Caligraphy Classics set.  I added some white paint splatters for added effect.  I finished my card with some clear sequins.

Graduation Congratulations!

Happy Sunday!  I am popping in with a card to share.   I need a graduation card for a man!   Check it out!  I am playing along with this week's PTI Make It Monday Challenge:  Watercolor Wash Background.  I chose to do the emboss resist option using Papertrey's Tropics stamp set.  I stamped the images in versamark, white embossed, then added different colors of ranger inks for my watercolor wash.  I added some splatters as well in shades of greens with a touch of some black.

For my sentiment I used PTI Pen and Ink stamp set.   I cut a strip of Pure black card stock.  I stamped the sentiment in versamark and white embossed,  I created my own fishtail at the end with some snips.  I am using this week's CASE this Sketch as inspiration so all of my foliage is at the bottom and left edge.

I must admit, while I was creating the background, I did not realize this sentiment was so large. I feel it covers up a lot of the background images.  I really did not have time to redo.  After I added the clear sequins it started growing on me, though.  It is quite manly so Win! Win!

Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge: Flutter!

It's time for a new Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge!

The LEAD of this challenge will be invited to be a guest designer in an upcoming challenge!

I started with a piece of PTI Lovley Lace Patterned Paper.  All the paper butterflies created a pattern-like feel to me.  I chose a scripture focusing on feathers as the flutter reference.  I stamped the scripture from PTI Year of Psalms: March set.

I added aqua mist and harvest gold inks to two of the feathers to add some color from the inspiration photo.  I added the focal panel to a smokey shadow card base using some foam tape for dimension.  I finished my card with a few clear sequins.
