The blog hop ends on August 30th. The prize winners will be announced on The Flower Soft blog and Our Daily Bread Designs Blog on August 31st

If you came here from Dawn Lusk's blog you are in the right place. If not please start at the beginning at the Our Daily Bread Designs Blog.

For my card I am using  The Lord Is Risen stamp set.  For my flower soft detailing, I chose to create a double textured border.  I love that it is so versatile.  I used two 1/8" strips of score tape.  I pressed the baby pink flower soft to the adhesive and tapped off the excess.  I put my seam binding between and finished the look.  I love the fabric edged  textural look the solid line of the score tape in combination  with the flower soft give.  It looks like fuzzy decorative edge trim on this card.  Just another look for flower soft.  It does not always have to be used for flowers.  I layered some Spellbinder's for my scriptured sentiment and finished with a seam binding bow and some prima flowers.

Next on the hop is The Flower Soft Blog!

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge(FTTC132)!

Happy Tuesday!  It is time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday(FTTC132) Challenge!   Cindy is the challenge host this week.  She is challenging us to have the sentiment as the focal point of our cards/projects this week.   Looking forward to seeing what you cook up with this fabulous recipe!

For my card, I am using Flourishes Hollyhocks set.   I stamped the floral image with a thumping technique which gives subtle areas and darker areas of the image depending where you thump.  I then stamped the sentiment in the center with Memento tuxedo black ink.  I am using Flourishes Classic Ivory card stock.  I am using My Mind's Eye Breeze designer paper. All the panels were ink distressed.  I stitched the base and horizontal panels .   I used some Spellbinder's  for focal image and frame.   I finished with some cream seam binding, bow with button, ivory memory thread, and a few tiny pearls.

Check out what the rest of the team created!

Beauty for Ashes! VLVVerve and MORE!

I am back from a long weekend in Virginia visiting my sister.  It was fun and we totally shopped til we dropped.  My parents road with us and we all had a blast.  We took my mom out for a belated Birthday dinner celebration on Saturday night.  She was alittle beside herself with the restaurant crew came out singing their Birthday song very loud.  The look on her face was priceless.

As for me, I was really amazed at how cheap the gas prices were in Va.  It was $3.17 on Friday.  It is $3.68 here in NC.  What is up with that?     Anyway, enough chit chat.  On to the card for today.

I am using the Viva La Verve Sketch Week 4.  Charmaine is the host this week.  I love this clean and simple sketch design.  I forced myself to keep this card a little CAS for me.  I am using Verve's Miracles Blossom and Isaiah 61:3 Plain Jane for my card.  I did sneak in the grid panel from the newly released Making a Statement.  I thought it created a cool textural background.  I stamped it on an angle behind the sentiment.   All the Anniversary sets and dies can still be purchased at a special discount.  Check out the link to find out more.

As always thanks so much for stopping by!

Confidence and Assurance! SLCODBD73 and MORE!

Happy Saturday!  I am in Virginia this weekend visiting my sister.  We have had a blast shopping.  My mom and dad road up with me.  It seems all we have done is go go go!  Fun times!   Before I left I was able to make a couple of cards.  I was not able to post those cards before I left, though so here goes one of them.

This card is for today's Shining the Light Challenge(SLCODBD73)!   It is a sketch!  I decided to make this card pretty clean and simple.  I am using ODBD Scripture Collection 7.  I got some new My Mind's Eye paper pads in the mail this week and just had to cut them.  This one uses Market Square.  I just love the pretty coral papers I used here.  I ink distressed the edges.  I sewing machine stitched all the layers.  I layered a few Spellbinders and finished with a cream seam binding bow, pearl gold button, and a couple of pearls.

As always thank so much for stopping by!

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge(FTTC131)!

Happy Tuesday!  It is time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday(FTTC131) Challenge!   Heather is the challenge host this week.  She is challenging us to use a recipe.  Something pink, one button, ribbon,  and lace.  Anything else is a go, but these four elements need to be part of your creation.  Looking forward to seeing what you cook up with this fabulous recipe!

For my card, I am using several Flourishes stamp sets.  I was in the mood to create my own background papers (DP by ME) using elements from several sets.    I am using Flourishes Classic Ivory card stock.  I am using the small lacy medallions from the Lace Edges set stamp several times in different colors on the bottom panel.   I then used the With Gratitude stamp set that you can earn for FREE.  Check out the link to see how.  This set comes with a sentiment border with thank you written in many languages.  I stamped this sentiment strip several times on the bottom.  For the top portion of the card background, I used the decorative border strip from the Fanciful Flourishes set stamped at an angle using different colors.  All the panels were ink distressed.  I stitched the base.   I used some Spellbinder's for focal image.   I am using one of the sentiments and images from the newly released  Sweet Days of Summer (still part of the New Release Bundle pricing til August 20th).   I finished with a piece of lace, dyed to match seam binding, and a bow with button!

Check out what the rest of the team created!

Welcome to DAY 6 of the Anni-Verve-sary Spotlight Hops!
Today I am featuring the Making a Statement stamp set, the Rounded Scallop Frame die, and Loopy Blooms dies sets.  I also used the Sunny Days stamp set and Leafy Sprigs die.    While playing around with the stamps sets this week and all the fabulous die cuts, I was totally blown away by all the little details.  Julee truly thought of everything.    I love the Loopy Blooms die that I used on my card layered to make a border.  This die comes with  two of the cutest leaves.  Those same little loopy leaves also cut out the adorable birdies that come in the Making a Statement stamp set.  Love it!  I just had to add those adorable birdies to my card perched on some sparkly die cut sprigs.  I finished with some buttons, a bow, a few gold pearls, and one of the fabulous sentiments that come in this set!   Happy *sigh*!

Next up on the hop is Lynda!  As always thanks so much for stopping by!

ODBD Stamping In Time Challenge(SNTODBD41) and MORE!

It is time for ODBD Stamping In Time Challenge(SNTODBD41)! The assignment is to use Our Daily Bread Design stamps.  The challenge this rotation is embossing! Use dry or heat embossing on your cards/projects.

For my card I am using ODBD Children of God and Mini Tags 2 stamp sets.  I believe this image and sentiment really says it all.     I just really need to get back to the foundation of it all.  "Jesus Loves  Me!"     So simple, but there is power in those words.    It is not just a matter of saying the words, but really believing them. WOW!

As for the details of my card, I embossed the focal image using versamark and black embossing powder.  I textured the back panel with a cuttlebug folder and a SU tulip frame folder.  I ink distressed the edges.  I layered a few Spellbinders and finished with a touch of lace and a dyed seam binding bow.

Check out the card Lori Ulrich  made with the embossing challenge!

Anni-VERVE-sary Spotlight Hops DAY 3!

Welcome to our Anni-VERVE-sary Spotlight Hops!  Hop along with the Divas all week long as we share our first looks at a few of the new products releasing from Verve on Friday night!  One lucky commenter from each day's hop will win the sets and dies featured that day, so be sure and leave a little love in the Divasphere! Check out the Verve Blog today for all the prize details and deadlines.

Welcome back to DAY 3 of the Anni-VERVE-sary Blog Hops! I am excited to show you what I have created today using the fabulous Words of Wisdom set and Graph Paper PJ!  I also used the Rounded Rectangle Die and created a fun little removal Words of Wisdom notebook for my card.

I dug out some tools I have not used in quite awhile.  A 1/16" hole punch, hammer, spool of wire, and a mat.  I stamped the graph, die cut and punched holes.  I used cardstock for the cover and back panel of the notebook.  I used the back of some paper weight designer paper.  I stamped and die cut the graph, stamped many of the wonderful sentiments that come in this set, punched holes, and threaded the wire.   I used this darker metal for the notebook and kept  the loops bent a bit to give more of a aged vintage feel. I am showing you a few of the pages inside my notebook.  In all there are 10 little pages in this notebook.  Fun and fabulous and I highly recommend you making one!

I am also using the little sprigs images from Sunny Days and the Leafy Sprigs dies from Monday's Spotlight Hop. I just love this set and dies, too!  I had to add a few touches to this card just to show you how all of the sets can work together.   I added some glitter to my sprigs for some extra sparkle!  I am also giving you alittle sneak at another die that will be spotlighted more on Friday.  I used it as a border on this card, though.  Hmm.....whatever could it be?  I am using the MOJO Monday sketch(MOJO203)  for my card!

Next on the hop is Maureen!

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday(FTTC130) Challenge and a Sneak Peek!

Happy Tuesday!  It is time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday(FTTC130) Challenge!   Tammy is the challenge host this week.   Tammy is challenging us to use fruits on our cards.  The FOF team is giving you a sneak peek at a new set being released this week called "Wild for Watermelon."   Check out the link to find out how to play along for this special challenge and what to do to win a stamp set!

For my card, I am using Flourishes soon to be released  "Wild for Watermelon"  stamp set.  I must say watermelon is my FAVORITE fruit!   I sometimes opt for a plate of sliced watermelon instead of a meal.  So, when I found out that Flourishes was releasing a watermelon set I was thrilled.  Then, to find out I get to sneak peek it...awesome!  I used one of the watermelon wedges stamped twice, colored, and cut out to layer around one of the fun sentiments that come in the set.  I also used one of the sentiments to stamped some background text on one of the panel using versamark.   I am using Flourishes Classic Ivory cardstock.  I colored with Flourishes Copic Color Collection.    I used some Spellbinder's for focal image and border.    I finished with a black gingham bow!

Today, I am using the You and I stamp set along with the Heart U die.  I turned my letter U upside down to make an N for the word IN to combine some of the fabulous word stamps to make  "So Much IN Love" sentiment.  I just love that you can play along with the dies and the word stamps and create so many fun sentiments.  I combined my new dies with Verve's Jotted Heart die and Charming Oval die as well.  Check out what the rest of the divas created!
