Verve's March Divas Inspiration Hop!

For my card I am using Verve's Great Friend, Bloom & Grow, and Big Wish stamp sets.  I am using the newly released Verve Cut Above Flag die set, Scalloped Trim Trio die, Elegant Leaves, and Joyful Blooms dies.   I am using this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch 179.

I stamped the large flowers cutting out the two larger layers by hand then die cutting the top flower. I inked the outside frame with scarlet jewel ink and stamped the solid image with Memento Pink.  To change up the normal a little bit I thought it would be different to ink the leaves in black for a tab bit more drama.  I added some foam tape to create some depth.  I added some layered designer paper die cuts using the Flag It die set as well as a Scalloped Trim border.  Lots of options with these new dies.  I finished the card with some stitching, and a seam binding bow using Verve's Spring Fling Ribbon Collection.

For my card I am using Verve's Love Notes and Love Deepens stamp sets.  I combined the Verve Cut Above Classy Label with the larger of the Scalloped Flowers die to create a scalloped border around my Classy Label die.  I finished with a seam binding bow and a few tiny silver pearls.  I am using this week's Mojo Sketch 274.

 I made two Christmas cards to share for today.  This first card uses the newly released Merry & Bright, Holiday Greetings, and Peace on Earth.  I also used Scroll Plain Jane and Scroll Cut Above and From the Heart dies. I combined some Simple Stories Homemade Holiday designer papers.  I added some ink distressed  corrugated cardboard and a few tiny gold pearls.  I finished with a seam binding bow.  I am using this week's Mojo Sketch 266.
 

For my second card, I chose to go for a more CAS styled Christmas card.  I am using Verve's newly released Joy to the World Plain Jane along with Making a Statement and Verve's Cut Above Tag Rectangle and Classy Label dies.  Again, I used some more of the Simple Stories Homemade Holidays designer papers.  I finished with a seam binding bow topped with a chunky metallic gold pearl.  I am using Retro Sketches #36.

Happy Saturday!  I am here with a card to share for this month's Diva Inspiration Hop!  I am using this week's VLV May Week 2 sketch!   Charmaine is the host!  Love this sketch, Charmaine!

For my card today I needed a birthday card for my baby boy!  Except, he is not a baby anymore.  He  has technically not been a baby for a long time.  However, today, he becomes a teenager!  WOW!   The Big 13!   Where did the years go?  I am still having a hard time believing it.  It seems like just yesterday he was just toddling around.   So, here is my very "manly" card for my little guy who is actually taller than me already!  Have A Happy Happy 13th Birthday, my son!


I combined Happy Days with the newly release Small Celebrations set.  I combined these sets to create what I call sentiment building.   I also love the large words that come in the Happy Days set that I used to create a soft muted background panel for my sentiment.  I have used this set a few times for this look.    I used Verve's Cut Above Charming Banner die to create a clip like detailing to house my baby bracelet bead letters.   I distressed most of the edges with distressing tool and ink, added a strip of stitched ribbon, and topped it off with a textured button.
